This game does not deserve all the hate. It was a masterpiece. TH-camrs like amazing Lucas, and others, ruins this experience. You guys did a phenomenal job on the sequel! I can’t wait for spider man 3, venom dlc, and the upcoming Wolverine game releasing in 2026. It will be worth the wait. 😊😁
The story was not a masterpiece. Both of the Spidermen's stories were rushed and relied too heavily on cliches. The majority of the villains were waisted especially the Sinister Six and Venom. They also left out some features at launch such as change of time/weather and repayable missions. Features like suit powers were removed in favor of abilities and a smaller number of gadgets that are very similar to each other.

Also for the Sinister Six, I wouldn't say they were wasted because Doc Ock needs to make a team in order to help him take revenge on Norman. Marvel's Spider Man 2 story is amazing it's just the third act was rushed (Venom). So storywise is definitely Marvel's Spider Man but better game overall is Marvel's Spider Man 2. As for those features you have mentioned like weather change, time change of day, etc those updates don't always come on day one at launch. Even God of War Ragnarok didn't have them either. They will come.
@TCC88 the game is not really hated because the majority loved it. People just toxic all the time by overreacting about everything. But you're right, the game is incredible. Those TH-camrs you have mentioned are flat out dumb and has no taste in video games. Just ignore them because Marvel's Spider Man 2 already well received by critics and fans and it got 91 on Metacritic making it the highest Metacritic score of any Marvel game which is a huge milestone. And it sold plenty of copies well. Don't listen to toxic people who would ruin the experience like Amazing Lucas (more like mid Lucas)

Mostly it was Sony’s fault for rushing insomniac, insomniac wanted to tell more story, but Sony rushed them. But it’s still a fantastic sequel. Hopefully the third game will be better for some people who didn’t like the story of 2. I heard that the third game will conclude the insomniac trilogy so hopefully it should have an epic story and finale. As long as Sony don’t rushed them at least.

You guys should have given Venom and Spider-man more screen time and scrapped MJ missions save for the highway tunnel one. Hope you guys make the third game kickass like the first one. Second one could have been better
Yes I kinda agree. Venom should’ve have more screen time. There are rumors saying that they are making a venom game, so it should definitely have more screen time. Hopefully when the next update comes we should have replayed missions so we can replay the venom missions as many times as we want.
Second one is already better then the first one overall. The only thing that the first one got that's better is story but everything else is done better in Marvel's Spider Man 2. But don't get me wrong, Marvel's Spider Man 2 story is amazing as well. I agree Venom could gained more screentime because I think for that is because they were saving it for his own spin off game according to leaks.
I actually like the MJ missions & imo I think Insomniac should do a Director's Cut. I'm not saying that the 2nd game sucks, I still love it. I'm just saying that it would a huge opportunity for Insomniac, they can make the 2nd game how they really wanted to without any rush, with a whole LOT more game developers, & a bigger budget than before.
