I have a box of lime jello from 1970. I obviously will never use it, but it came out of my aunts house. I stayed with her off and on all of my childhood and that was her special treat for me. I found it in the very back of her cabinet on a top shelf after she passed away.. It makes me smile when I see it in the cabinet.
Aloha, Catherine from the Big Island of Hawaii! 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺 I’ve been subscribed for many years now and you bring even more sunshine to my already sunny space. You are such a warmth of soul. Just wanted to share my appreciation to you and love for all your amazing videos. Mahalo (Thank you) Sending my warmest Aloha your way 💜
Aw Rochelle that is so kind of you ❤️ Hawaii sounds like a beautiful and magical place 😍 you’re so sweet that means a lot to me! I’m glad I get to be a part of your day xx
Hi Catherine your video was so relaxing and enjoyed it very much .I got to see the 2 very cute cats thank you so much for sharing i wonderful time you all have a great week ❤❤❤
Hi Catherine, LOVING the video. Best Before Dates are ok - just means your spices would taste stronger b4 the BB date, but they won't harm you. It is the Use By Dates that are you ones you must not risk as the product would be off. xx
I would be that if Catherine used the products she threw out she would be fine. However, if one is fearful to see if something doesn't look or smell right maybe, the contents of the items needs to go into the garden to recycle for the worms to flourish and it will turn into compost instead of filling the waste tips of the world.
There's nothing like a good declutter. It's so good for the mind. I'm so glad to receive a notification of your video. It's a perfect way to transport me to a world of peace & quiet. Thank you ❤x
Hi Dainty 😊couldn’t help but smile when you opened the blanket box and the two kitties were straight in exploring 😂. You have just reminded me to start clearing out my cupboards 😮 .I crafting stuff everywhere major clean out needed😅.when you’re busy crafting stuff just gets messy sometimes. Love your video happy cleaning 🧹🥰💚
LOL about the knicker drawer. I love that you are so real. We’ve all been there. I had a pair that literally was coming apart. I finally tossed them. 😂
I cleaned my food cupboard and found loads of food dating back to 2017. I now only have small amounts of tinned and bottled food that I must use by the end of every month. Love your videos 🎉
Hi Catherine, I do the same thing with my food cupboard too and the dates can be shocking 🤣. I love watching your videos but I really enjoy reading your lovely subscribers messages and seeing where in the world they come from it’s amazing and such nice things they write 💖 . Have a great weekend lots of love 💞🙋🏻♀️Patricia xx.
I enjoy watching your supervisors supporting you every step of the way🐱. I am busy painting my kitchen cabinets and have a K9 and 2 feline supervisors, so the quality control is extreme 😂
Expiration dates are suggestions. Open it, does it smell ok? It the seal intact? Is the can bulging? If not, it's probably ok. I'm still fine and I've opened some questionable dates.😂
👍🏻👍🏻Just recently found out that the only thing regulated by date in the U.S. is baby formula. Everything else is at consumer discretion. If it’s a baking mix, pop a teaspoon or so of baking powder into it as mixing. Also, the nose knows. 😅
You beat me to writing a similar comment. I grew up in a time prior to Use by dates on products. My mum, as I do now, do all of what you mentioned. above and use common sense of expired items and not throw them. Is it any wonder there are food shortages in the world. This world needs to stop wasting and start using their heads.
Sorry I have to disagree...my father almost died from food poisoning as he drank expired Pepsi. What I've heard regarding expiry dates is that it isn't always the food that is expired but the container (plastic) it's in usually starts to break down and leach into the food.
Best by dates don't necessarily mean it's bad. As long as my cans aren't rusty or bulging I don't really care what the date says. If i open it and anything is discolored or smells off it goes in the trash. I recently ripped out my existing pantry shelves and put in a shelving system. I went through everything then, but at the time there were a couple of cans that were best by 2017. 😂
I'm with you girl, I'm a 'just in case' collector too! Have been ruthless lately. I never pay much attention to dates, if it looks ok it'll be grand! Looking forward to seeing the bedroom updates!
Catherine, I'm always checking my cupboards for expired dates. I'm one of those people who don't trust foods that are expired. It always feels wonderful after cleaning and organizing. 👍👍❤❤
You know with every purchase that needs some sort of assembly, there comes extra screws, washers, nuts and bolts? Well, I’ve been saving them for decades 😂. Just spent four hours painstakingly sorting and purging pounds of metal. All are out the door to a tradesman who will use each bolt, etc. 🔩😂
Hi Catherine, your eaves cupboards are great for storage. My pantry is not too bad, the most out of date are about 1yr when I had a clear out. My parents on the other hand lol, was shocked when I had to empty the family home. Have a lovely weekend
I have had expiry dates on stuff many times. I always think that I only bought that a few months ago. Can't believe how quick the time goes. Ha ha. Dust bunnies overtake my house too and I have no furries. Tidying out makes you feel you have accomplished something great. Your puss cats are so gorgeous as always. Thank you Catherine.
I make taco salad and burritos with my leftover taco meat. Love it! I am single too and when I make spaghetti sauce I freeze it in zip lock bags in manageable amounts for a single serving. That way the leftover sauce doesn’t go to waste. I do the same with chili. Makes it so much easier and quick clean up too. Love your videos! Hugs. 👍💜🥰🍁🍁🍁
Thank you for sharing the out of date tinned food, my anxiety made me buy so many tins of soup 😂. I laugh now but at that time buying the soup weirdly helped me cope. Strange how we deal with things. Love watching your decluttering videos 😊
We have one dog... who sheds like he is three dogs... twice each year. We also have a Rainbow vacuum that uses water instead of a bag or filters. After the first pass through the main floor, we have more hair than water. The second pass is so much better. But, dust bunnies? Nope, we instead have oodles of tiny 'puppies'... each and every three days! I want a cat!!! lol You may want to buy a 'banker's box' and paste pretty paper over it and then fill it with your books and magazines and things as a memory box. That way, you can always walk down memory lane and still keep it all in one secure place.
The sell by expiration date is just a number the government makes companies put on the cans. Yes it is safe to eat expired canned beans that have been stored properly. Beans undergo a process called retorting. Where the canning process temperature is so high it sterilizes the contents of the can. As long as the can is not damaged or lost the vacuum seal they are safe to eat. Great space in your storage nook. Would be the perfect place for extra tools and long levels etc. Ireland has some great pubs. The Ginger Man nice Halloween decorations. I'm glad you are going out with friends. Thanks for the pictures. Take care and have a wonderful autumn week.
Greetings from the Eifel, Germany. The extra space is really great . You can store so much stuff there. This helps a lot to keep your wonderful house clean. However, it's always sth to do in it.Have a nice weekend you and your sweeties, dear Catherine.❤
I set my timer for one hour and declutter or clean. It works great! It is amazing how much I get done. When the timer goes off, I stop or if I still have steam continue. Knowing I can stop is the carrot.
You're little inspectors are so lovely 😻 😻 It's always so satisfying to make some space and have a good old organise. You decluttering your spices reminded me of a few years ago when one of my sisters and I were making a stew in the slow cooker. It smelt amazing and we were so looking forward to it the whole time it was cooking. When we sat down to eat it though, it had no flavour whatsoever. Turns out my sister had used her spices from uni - we're talking mid nineties (showing our age!) and the spices had expired in 1997!! 😂 My sister's a really good cook but we always tease her now and check how old her spices are 😁
Oh Catherine...you prompted me to check the expiration date on my stuff in the cabinet! My oh my...my baking soda's expiration date was 2011! With holiday backing on the horizon, I think I better invest in a new supply!! Love your channel and look forward to Thursdays and Sundays! Happy holidays to you and your family. 🎄
@DaintyDiaries Check the 'use-by' or 'best-before' date when you buy food. 'Best-before' dates give you an idea of how long foods will last before they lose quality. Most products will last beyond their 'best-before' date if they are stored properly. Foods marked with a 'use-by' date must be consumed before or on that date.
You can eat tins and dry goods and jars after the best by date..best by does not mean end date. Spices just loose flavour. Use the tin tomatoes for tomato soup, pasta sauce etc.. I always use stuff out of date... no problem. I batch cook for myself. Love when i don't have to cook daily.
I stocked up in 2020 too. I spent a year eating out of date food, it was fine, wasn't going to waste it. I'm now a food minimalist, shop weekly, much prefer it this way. My food hoard totally overwhelmed me, never again. I have a freezer full of meat, though, and staples like cans of coconut milk and spices, that's it. When you give up carbs, the food cupboard is generally empty.
Oh, Catherine!! You cleaning your kitchen pantry was exactly me yesterday. And yes, I did find cans of tomato sauce with 2022 expiration dates, and yes I had bought them in 2020. When the supermarkets finally opened in the US that fateful year, most of what was on the shelves were canned and dry foods. So think pasta. A lot of pasta!! I felt bad throwing them away, and fortunately I did not have too many items to get rid of. Today, I decided that it's time to start decluttering my closet. I am getting rid of over 10 purses that I no longer use. Fortunately, we have several Buy Nothing groups in my area so that is where they are going. Loved watching the kitchen segment today.
Good afternoon, now I need to check my dates on non-perishable's. LOL, thank you for another inspiring video. Your cats have surely grown and know how to lay the best dust bunnies. LOL Cheers to another week
It’s not expired,it’s best before,a suggestion of a timeline. Can promise that especially on the tomatoes etc as have been using up ones with that date on recently. However smell it/taste it if you are unsure.
Guess the expiration date 😂 I always find stuff in my dry cabinet shelf that’s 2 or 3 years old. My daughter laughs at me when I tell her. You are not alone in when it comes to expiring grocery stuff 😂😂 ❤
Canned food, you can generally get by with longer than the expiration date. When I get back-logged with a certain canned food (beans) I will try to make recipes that will use it up. In this case, stews, soups, chili, etc. Skillet meals are really good to cook when you're single because you can portion control a lot better. Presently loving Don't Go Bacon My Heart's easy skillet dinner recipes. You've given me the incentive to go declutter my own paint collections. Why do we hold on to old paint cans for so long??
Look into the black plastic shelves from Argos. I've just bought yet another set for £25. You can move them easily if you need to, and they can hold a surprising amount of weight. They do stronger versions too. You can put them in all sorts of weird places. Like those awkward cupboards you have to climb into that I've noticed a lot in new builds.
Ok, I will admit that I have a bottle of whole cloves that were my mother’s! I’m 71. They have to be over 40 years old. The little ball has come off the stem! I can’t seem to throw them out. In a pinch I will use a couple in a simmer pot, not for eating or drinking! Do not tell anyone!
Catherine , thanks for the chuckles about the knicker situation, can so relate ..... and those look like the long gone dust dino ...we have them here in our place LOL xxx So going through a clearing here too , just did the Dream Temples aka Bedrooms and it is so lovely when finished it almost glows ...but there is always that inbetween stage where I sit with my head in my hands and wonder why I started hee hee ...slowly does it !! Thanks for the inspo xx I adore Your sombrero ! ps I am sure I could win in the out of date stuff... have found some things from when we moved in here 20 years ago but I would have to get the ladder out to get to the top shelf in the walk in pantry eek ...is there a prize??? LOL
I don’t know if it’s the same in other countries as it is in Australia but here the two dates are best before & use by. If it’s use by then it has to be used by that date but best before means that it can actually be used after that date. Grocery items have dates on them because supermarkets have to have them (obviously 😂) and it also helps them with rotating their stock. I always just check the best before items as I open them to make sure they’re okay. I hope this helps you a little bit if you have the same system in Ireland 🥰
Omg! The pants totally agree, the elastic goes or they get baggy arse😂 and have to be thrown out. You are not alone. As is the 2929 hoard of tin food😂 I cringe to think of the use by dates in the back of my pantry
I just cleared out the last of what my parents bought during the Y2K panic. The funny thing? My mom had a kitchen reno in 07-08 and she moved all the boxes of powdered milk back into the new cabinets where they got forgotten until a month ago.
We have Best Before and Expired dates here in Canada, and I'd only toss out expired things. Best Before depends on what it is, since some things go off sooner. Canned veggies are fine, but canned condensed milk not so much. Dried herbs and spices are actually okay, they just aren't as strong as they age. There are lists online of food products that keep forever, and it's amazing what will be safe in your pantry for a long time. I searched several of the lists to see if there were discrepancies and they are all just about the same. I printed one out and taped it inside my cupboard door for future reference. I threw out all my herbs and spices and a lot of canned goods after I went through cancer and chemo, then open heart surgery, because I wasn't cooking the usual meals during that time and had a lot of unused foods in my cupboards. I was really annoyed afterwards to find out that the seasonings were fine and I needn't have spent all that money replacing them. It's very much worth getting a copy of what will last forever and having it handy when you're not sure if something is safe when it's been stored for a long while. My other go to method is freezing. I found out that baking powder and yeast, plus other baking ingredients, are safe to freeze and don't deteriorate after being frozen. I threw out dead yeast and baking powder several times before I learnt I could freeze them. Saves a lot of fuss and money too. I was born in England in 1945, and I was about 8 when rationing ended, so I grew up when we wasted very little, and we had no fridges in those days either, so daily shopping for perishables was the norm. That's where bread pudding and its like came from. Use up the stale bread! 😊 I love my fridge and freezer. And electricity. 🤗😉
@DaintyDiaries as long as the tin is not damaged or rusted the food truly is still safe to use. I have even baked a box cake that had expired and there were no problems
I declutered my craft supply couple months ago, and have asked my friends not to gift me with more crafting supplies. It's not easy, but it felt like lifting a burden of your shoulders. Also went through my Christmas decor, and separated things I will donate, things that I will makeover and things that others may like to have 😊
Expiration dates are dates that the product may deteriate in taste not that they have gone off. Plus tin foods stored in a dry place last for 25 years. I would check them over, see if any of the seals are broken and smell if its OK before throwing it away. If you want to buy extra do so and vacuum pack it that way it will last even longer. It's what I do and I have a 3 month rolling pantry, where by I rotate the food forward that needs eating first😊
One way to save your articles is to buy a binder and use clear sleeves to store each article. Then they're all in one place and you can look at them when you want and they don't take up the space. :)
Attic storage is a great little space to have. Word of caution when storing paper take off any metal attachments to preserve the paper for future references. Love Saint Bridgit story and Folklore.
soooo cute Catherine i laughed, as i can relate to the shoe that you pulled out from under bed. you could say that our cats "help" us keep up with our housecleaning....lol😂❤
Hi dear Catherine 👋😊 THANK YOU for another beautiful and inspiring video. I wish you and your pets all the best. With love Maťa from Slovakia 🇸🇰👋😊💕 💕🐾 💕🐾☘️
I cleared my food cupboard out 4 months ago before I had a knee replacement and wouldn’t be able to get down to it after the operation for a while and I found tins 2017 and pasta 2018. I opened the tins and put down the loo but the contents look ok.
I'm an exactly like you Cathrine! I live alone and refuse to fill my cupboards with food that I won't eat so its just the basics for me. I'm never short of a meal though xx
🇮🇪☘Hey Irish Girl, i find that Rotation is always the key to all types of storage. I Pray daily that Jesus will bless all of our foods to the nourishment of our bodies.🛐 I don't mess with things beyond the expiration dates. Your kitties are always helping. Very sweet🐱🐺 'La an Altaithe" 🍃🦃🍃
Hello Ms. Catherine, wow thats a lot of 'apocalypse' food✌️... I'm my opinion which it was tackled in one of my previous work those dates indicated in the packaging are the requirements for government permit to sold the products. As long as it's sealed, no molds or any bad smell it still OK. Like vinegar it does not expired in expand of 2 years but it has date before. But its just a suggestion, it still OK if you follow the date indicated ☺️
The oldest items in my kitchen are dated 2023 but, before you go thinking I'm some sort of goody two shoes, that's the last time I had a clear out. When I went through the cupboards last year I had items dated 2019! I vowed I'd do at least an annual clear out after that so thank you for the timely reminder 😂
In the USA most "expiration" dates are actually "best by" dates meaning that the nutritional profile & flavor of the item are sustained through that date when stored in the correct/ideal conditions. Many foods are fine after the date though the nutritional quality maybe slightly reduced & the flavor may be slightly off.
Oh press (cupboard). I haven’t heard that word in many a year Catherine. 🏴plus same as you, bungalow here as well, and no cupboards, the previous owners made a loft conversion so we have a door similar to yours to get into the loft no ladder. Catherine, what I did at the start of 2020 was make a list of all the tinned things in the kitchen cupboard with space at the side of each item to place a mark next to, so 4 tins of beans had 4 lines next to it, then down to the next item, seeing as we could not just keep going to the supermarket as we can do nowadays. The list was stuck to the inside cupboard door, 2024 and I still do that. Each time an item is used, I cross off one of the lines.
As u were putting your herbs and bits back I was thinking to myself I wonder if they know of aromat in Ireland as I was just thinking u go and pick one up . How weird. Love my aromat , and all your videos x
Don't be embarrassed. One thing I do after Christmas and New Years I challenge myself to only use what I have in the pantry and try my best only to do a limited grocery run till I've put a dent in the pantry and best before dates. Even if I have to do freezer meals.
I just cleaned out both my fridge and pantry the last month or so and my pantry looked about the same as yours 😂 still kept a few expired things, but the tofu that expired a year ago in the fridge had to go
Spices have “Best Before” dates, as they’re traditionally preservatives - like sugar, they don’t “go off” as such, but will degrade in potency and texture - so you may need to use more spices to get the same flavour or re-soften stuff like sugar …. I’d certainly still use them and have done in the past 😂 Oh! and have you noticed how underwear all loses it shape, elasticity, integrity …. whatever, all at the same time, so you have to spend a small fortune replacing it all?
Got married in 1999 in Germany a housemate bought a packet of sauce in a hungover state. We moved it from country or country just for fun. Threw it out this year earlier on around june so I might win:-) but it was all in fun
I have a box of lime jello from 1970. I obviously will never use it, but it came out of my aunts house. I stayed with her off and on all of my childhood and that was her special treat for me. That’s so sweet 🥹 what a lovely memory thanks for sharing xx
As someone else that lives alone, I do a thing where every February, I eat through my kitchen stashes so that I don't have food go out of date.
love this 🥰
I have jars of homemade jam that was made in 2018 it's not mouldy. Yesterday, I had some on toast tasted divine.
Catherine, your comment on the result you’d have if you were hit by a bus made me laugh so much I had tears in my eyes. Love your sense of humor ! ❤
Same 😂

I’m all for decluttering the rest of my house, but HANDS OFF my craft supplies!!!! 😂 Opening two more packages of them while I watch your video. 😁
The craft supplies are king!!🫡😂 oooh hope you got some nice new bits!
You made me giggle with the knicker chats, looking forward to seeing your plans for decorating. Have a lovely weekend ☺️

Catherine, good going on your cupboards! They look great, and all of your other organizing! Well done!
Nicker complaints, relatable! 😅
I call it indoor gardening when the weather gets bad and I move inside and start cleaning/organizing/decorating.
Indoor gardening that’s great 😂😂
😂😂😂😂 you are so funny. My undie draw is the same as yours. And they are soooooo expensive to replace. ❤ live your content.

haha, I can relate! “il keep, just in case”
It’s always a shock when I sort out my pantry!!
Girl, I cleaned my pantry about 6 months ago & was quite shocked at what I had to throw away! I always keep excess cans of things. ❤
Same here
Canned food is so easy to lose track of when it expires!!
Hi Catherine, your eaves cupboards are great for storage. My pantry is not too bad, the most out of date are about 1yr when I had a clear out.
My parents on the other hand lol, was shocked when I had to empty the family home.

Plus you only have to cook once!
You could have a scrapbook to put your memories of past magazine press or day trips etc. Like scrapping books
that's what I thought would be a good idea. or a photo album with the really big openings.
I enjoyed the time with you. Thanx for the end of year motivation and inspiration❤❤
Aww I’m glad to hear that! Thanks so much for stopping by ❤️❤️ have a lovely weekend xx
@DaintyDiaries you two❤️
You're cats are beautiful sweetheart. I adore their eyes. Stay safe xx
Thank you for sharing the out of date tinned food, my anxiety made me buy so many tins of soup 😂. I laugh now but at that time buying the soup weirdly helped me cope. Strange how we deal with things. Love watching your decluttering videos 😊
I organized my pantry today. The oldest date I found was 2020 on a funnel cake mix.
Fun video 😊thank you for sharing 😊

Omg! 🤣🤣 Best vlog ever! Thanks for the giggles! ❤️
Ever since I started budgeting, and keeping track of every penny in and out, I've been really good at eating up my pantry before it expires lol
The Keeper of the Bees 🤩 love the illustrations.

Have a wonderful week😄
We’ve all been there Jennifer 😂
Girl put the ground cinnamon in your flower pots if you have ant problems. Ants bring aphids. ❤❤❤
I set my timer for one hour and declutter or clean. It works great! It is amazing how much I get done. When the timer goes off, I stop or if I still have steam continue. Knowing I can stop is the carrot.
Yess love this! Turn it into a game! 👏😍
You are inspiring me to clean out some closets!
I've bought both your books and they're brilliant ❤
You're little inspectors are so lovely 😻 😻 It's always so satisfying to make some space and have a good old organise. You decluttering your spices reminded me of a few years ago when one of my sisters and I were making a stew in the slow cooker. It smelt amazing and we were so looking forward to it the whole time it was cooking. When we sat down to eat it though, it had no flavour whatsoever. Turns out my sister had used her spices from uni - we're talking mid nineties (showing our age!) and the spices had expired in 1997!! 😂 My sister's a really good cook but we always tease her now and check how old her spices are 😁
Oh gosh that’s so funny 😂 the build up to the lovely stew was ruined 😂😂 It’s funny to look back and laugh now!
It’s too easy to lose track of what you have we are all in the same boat 😂
Please look more into "best before" and "use by" dates!!
would you like to share more about them here so people can read, it might be helpful?
@DaintyDiaries Check the 'use-by' or 'best-before' date when you buy food. 'Best-before' dates give you an idea of how long foods will last before they lose quality. Most products will last beyond their 'best-before' date if they are stored properly. Foods marked with a 'use-by' date must be consumed before or on that date.
Copied from Google.
Catherine This Morning Vacumed My Decking and Cut Pot plants Back. Xx 😊
It happens to the best of us that’s for sure 😂😂
Canned food, you can generally get by with longer than the expiration date. When I get back-logged with a certain canned food (beans) I will try to make recipes that will use it up. In this case, stews, soups, chili, etc.
Skillet meals are really good to cook when you're single because you can portion control a lot better. Presently loving Don't Go Bacon My Heart's easy skillet dinner recipes.
You've given me the incentive to go declutter my own paint collections. Why do we hold on to old paint cans for so long??
That’s a good idea, your recipes sound delicious 😍
Look into the black plastic shelves from Argos. I've just bought yet another set for £25. You can move them easily if you need to, and they can hold a surprising amount of weight. They do stronger versions too. You can put them in all sorts of weird places. Like those awkward cupboards you have to climb into that I've noticed a lot in new builds.
Argos is sadly gone from Ireland!! But something similar would be very useful thanks for sharing ❤️
You win!!
The ancient cloves 😂😂 that’s a good one!’
LOL
When it comes to tidying it always gets worse before it gets better 😂 you just have to remember that! Ooh 20 years that’s up there!
Thanks Beth, we do indeed have the same system here in Ireland so you’re right it’s a good guide ❤️
Aw I’m sure it was so fun to go through all of that stuff 😍
@@DaintyDiaries It was. Mostly because it means my kitchen gadgets can finally live in a cabinet.
Beans and toast? Haven’t heard of that combo before. Need to try😊
I love my fridge and freezer. And electricity. 🤗😉
My pantry does have tins with 2022 dare on but in my books tin food is fine for years after the bb date. So i still use it
Tinned food doesn’t count 😂😂 it’s good and tight in there!!
Also went through my Christmas decor, and separated things I will donate, things that I will makeover and things that others may like to have 😊
You’re so right, it can be overwhelming when a lot of stuff collects like that!! But you must be so relieved that’s all done now and organised 😍👏
That’s a good idea!
Attic storage is a great little space to have. Word of caution when storing paper take off any metal attachments to preserve the paper for future references. Love Saint Bridgit story and Folklore.
Ooh that’s a good tip thank you!
soooo cute Catherine i laughed, as i can relate to the shoe that you pulled out from under bed. you could say that our cats "help" us keep up with our housecleaning....lol😂❤
In that case they’re huuuge helpers😂😂
Hi dear Catherine 👋😊 THANK YOU for another beautiful and inspiring video. I wish you and your pets all the best. With love Maťa from Slovakia 🇸🇰👋😊💕 💕🐾 💕🐾☘️
Thanks for stopping by Mata! 🩷 hope you have a lovely weekend xx
I cleared my food cupboard out 4 months ago before I had a knee replacement and wouldn’t be able to get down to it after the operation for a while and I found tins 2017 and pasta 2018. I opened the tins and put down the loo but the contents look ok.
Tinned food just has rules of its own doesn’t it 😂
I paused your film and went to sort out my pantry so the motivation was instant I found gel food colouring 2011 !
You're on a roll today. So much LOL!😂
I'm an exactly like you Cathrine! I live alone and refuse to fill my cupboards with food that I won't eat so its just the basics for me. I'm never short of a meal though xx
aw same 🥰 I’m lucky as well because I have so many grocery stories within walking distance too so I can buy fresh
The most of that food will be fine it’s just a best before so it’s past it’s ‘best’ but still edible
Very sweet🐱🐺

It happens to the best of us 😂
You saying, "ugh, have you ever seen a dust bunny like that". I say: Yes, under and behind my dresser.
They build up so quick don’t they!!
I think I have seen it in some of the shops here among the other seasonings and spices! I’ll have to try it!
For you magazine and newspaper features, have you thought about framing them?
Don't be embarrassed. One thing I do after Christmas and New Years I challenge myself to only use what I have in the pantry and try my best only to do a limited grocery run till I've put a dent in the pantry and best before dates. Even if I have to do freezer meals.
Maybe hooks on the wall above the extra wood to hand some of the extra tools?
That would be very handy!
I know it's a bit of a bold idea, but would it be possible to swap the bedroom for the office? Then you would have so much space for your work.
So funny..you made me laugh so hard...your realy entertaining i tell you... The cats are so cute and curious too... enough tomatoes for long time..😊
2018...😂 last week. In my fridge. Dressing.
I found a spice I never used yesterday dated 1999. I frequently check my dates but missed that one.
I just cleaned out both my fridge and pantry the last month or so and my pantry looked about the same as yours 😂 still kept a few expired things, but the tofu that expired a year ago in the fridge had to go
A few expired things is okay 😂👏 that was probably a good call on the tofu though 😂
Spices have “Best Before” dates, as they’re traditionally preservatives - like sugar, they don’t “go off” as such, but will degrade in potency and texture - so you may need to use more spices to get the same flavour or re-soften stuff like sugar …. I’d certainly still use them and have done in the past 😂
Oh! and have you noticed how underwear all loses it shape, elasticity, integrity …. whatever, all at the same time, so you have to spend a small fortune replacing it all?
Got married in 1999 in Germany a housemate bought a packet of sauce in a hungover state. We moved it from country or country just for fun. Threw it out this year earlier on around june so I might win:-) but it was all in fun
