jim green customization program is mind-blowing amazing! i just received my custom made razorbacks and love them. there was a slight misunderstanding but the customer service team did remedy the situation. the craftsmanship of the boot is outstanding! already thinking of doing another order!
I love Jim Green's customer-centric approach. In the US it's sometimes referred to as the golden handcuffs. You guys do so many things that set you apart from the competition and make Jim Green a truly unique company. Wishing you all the best!
I just received my custom black Stockmans and I’m incredibly pleased with how they turned out! It’s really cool to see the factory and the people that make the boots. Gareth it’s been a pleasure working with you and I’ll be back soon. I’m thinking a pair of those Appels will be real nice.
I think you're stand up guys for donating boots to the African Rangers, Love That!!!! You guys seem really kind and again, obviously are generous. Cheers.
@@JimGreenFootwearOfficial They just arrived this evening and I have to ask - did you guys improve the insole this year? I've not seen the thicker ones before.
have a pair of razorbacks for work took 3 days to break in, but prefer them to my other work "barefoot" work shoes. have a pair of Nicks incoming, but I will definitely get another pair of jim greens in the future. Just depends on how longmy razorbacks take to break down.
I currently have a pair of the African Rangers in the Crazy Horse. I love them, but if I could get any modification done for another pair, it would be to get them double lasted, or something similar to get them to be a bit more water resistant. Thanks for the video.
@@coltrv it depends on what you want. They charge nothing to change the color or lining options on a standard boot like the razorback or ranger cause they don’t need any kind of special tooling made for if. You’ll pay for things like special embossing, different lacing options, a style they don’t typically offer etc. Figure sole or color changes to a standard boot will be easy to accommodate cause they just need to use a different color leather or sole that’s probably in stock
I was so impressed with the AR8 boots I got a month or so ago I had to get a pair of vellies for the summer! The first time I feel like footwear actually fits my wide but short feet properly. Thank you and cheers from Finland!
I absolutely love the transparency of this company. I don't own a post of Jim Greens yet, but for me seeing videos like this when I'm deciding on my next pair of boots is very important on my future purchases.
Would it be possible to get the standard african ranger leather lined? Also could you get the AR8 with the OR sole instead of the JG? Loving my pair of crazy horse african ranger!👍
In respect to the ar8 boot, would it be possible to decrease the welt width (for aesthetic purposes) and/or the shaft of the boot down to a 6 inch shaft?
Good day Justin, please get in contact with our custom boot department through our website. They can let you know what sizes we can do for different boots.
They told me the other day that they could make me a pair of standard Razorbacks in black for 179 and add steel toes for an extra 10 bucks. Catch is 40 bucks to ship em direct to me. I think after wearing my standard Razorbacks for over a month and seeing no wear I’m going to go for it. I really want to wait for them to start offering customization again and see what I can do to get exactly what I want
Good day and thanks for the interest! Please kindly get in touch and we shall happily assist in getting the correct pair of Jim Greens in your hands and on your feet 🐸
I'm a bit late, but they've said that they don't have the tooling to do an inner counter cover, however their counter does have two full thickness layers of leather behind your heel with the external counter cover and a thermoplastic stiffener sandwiched between them
I didn’t even know customization was an option. Not that I’d change anything, but it’s nice to know I have that choice in the future. I love my Jim Green boots. If it wasn’t for Carl Murawksi, I never would have heard of Jim Green. I have 3 pairs and I’m patiently waiting for my Baobab boots. I can’t wait! You guys make a great product at a great price. What boot is that at the 3:18 mark of the video? It’s sharp.
@@fistofice but chances are when JG starts taking custom orders they’ll make it for you. Just be ready to pay good money for exactly what you want but know you’ll have exactly what you want
Hi Jim Green great work man ..Please I have a problem with my feet .They are of different sizes . The wright foot is totally normal but the left foot is thicker in girth and circumferance around the teos and heel ankle section. If I provide you with expert measurements would you like to make me some boots( 3-4 pairs ) initially ...Thanx again for great product.
Good day and thank you for the interest, What you have mentioned above is possible! Please get in touch and we shall gladly assist further with your boots 🥾🥾
Good day and thank you for the interest. We are not able to add a toe cap to any boot order, please do get in touch if you have any further questions, we are happy to assist in the construction of your custom pair 🐸💪
I got a pair of black African Rangers that don't have the logo on the heel. This made me sad. Still love the heck out of them, though. I'm considering getting another pair in fudge but I'm not sure how well they'll do since it's so wet in Georgia.
Hi Brian, thank you for your support. The logo embossing on the heel has been removed from our black African Ranger as many use the boot in their uniform and cannot possess branding💪 We would recommend having a look at our recommended cleaning guide which shall improve the water resistant properties of your Rangers for the wetter days out 🐸🐸
My only complaint about Jim Green is they are as expensive as imported boots. Yes I know they are high quality but still. One of the reasons other high quality boots like Red Backs are so expensive is because they have to be brought in from Australia. I don't understand why they are so expensive when they are made locally. Know many people who like JG but refuse to buy them because they feel the boots and shoes are overpriced. Think if JG did a month long sale where all boots are like 50% off they'd sell so many they'd run out of stock
Economic dynamics are so interesting. In the United State, JG boots are one of the highest value options available. Easily more durably made than similarly priced boots made in the US or imported from elsewhere. I am not aware, but could it be that JG boots local cost is higher than other brands due to the price they pay for labor? I have read that the company pays their employees at a higher rate than is typical in South Africa. I have no idea how importing from Australia works however. I would expect labor cost there to be higher than many countries.
One of the greatest things is to see these boots after some wear - they look even better! Some of the best boots I own for sure.
Thanks Carl, our first supporter from across the ocean since day one. Thanks for the interest and support with our journey.

That’s perfectly reasonable. Makes total sense.

I don't know who Appel is, but those shoes are really nice!
I like the Vellies. I like the pulltag on the back as well (I'd consider keeping that).
Having trouble to obtain funds for my Jim Green ranger but I will forever enjoy the videos and the products they offer. 👍👍👍👍

I was thinking the same thing. African rangers (the zero drop variant they are working on) set up with lining like the razorbacks.
The JG custom shop is AWESOME. I may never buy another pair of "off the rack" boots. Looking for my custom AR8's in August.
