Good to see calving is over, just in time for hay season....pastures look real good....I'm sure your not regretting getting the Honda, sure are handy when it comes to fencing....Bet it was nice to get away and go fishing with your boy, I'm going to try to do a bit of that this summer too. I've thought about building a portable sunscreen, Jon Stephens, Maple Grove Farm has a commercial made one. It's a trailer with movable frames with the nursery netting on them.

That’s where we got the idea for the big sunscreen. Ordered it from a commercial nursery company. $220 for 20X24 footer.

It would for sure…but it will dry out and get very solid by June when we gather up the manure.

We bought it three years ago after a 90-degree Memorial Day. I was gone fishing and Dawn had to bring the cows into the calving barn and spray them down with water.
Using the same walls for the windbreak and shade is a really good idea. Bet your glad calfing is over. Nice looking little calf.

It ripped in those 50mph wind gusts so we’ve ordered a new one. $200. This was its 6th year.
