- Our purebred Angus bull was delivered to start the cattle breeding season as we work to get our equipment ready for haying season. We finally have a good forecast as Mr. Bull settles into his new home. #familyfarming, #angus, #angusbeef
Hopefully the weather will hold. We're finally starting to dry out. Thank you Dave.
Geez Dave, can you blame the cows for not wanting to leave a pasture full of rye....lol. That's a stout looking bull,, should make some nice calves....Looks like a window of weather this upcoming week...maybe we can start haying 🤞. Thanks Dave.
Thanks Brent. I hope we can start haying. I feel like a kid stuck in detention after school😅
Nice looking herd.
Good morning Dawn and Dave ☕☕☕
Hay forecast, good looking boy out running with the cows.. plenty of pasture.. looks like things are coming together 👍
@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin Thanks Ed…hope so. We have a wedding and reception to go to today. I’ll be secretly checking my weather app all day🤭
That's a nice rye crop. Hopefully the new bull gets his job done. We usually always cut at the higher setting.
@@pinesedgefarm1155 Thanks. We may leave it higher. I dropped it during the drought to get maximum tonnage.
Good morning Dave and Dawn!
@@tractortalkwithgary1271 morning Gary.
Very nice looking bull and a very good temperament. Hope you’re able to get a break in the weather to bale.
@@andrewl7467 thanks. Looks like nice weather this week. Fingers crossed!
Yeah it’s defo tough cutting this season
I'll believe it when I see it. I'm still working on getting ready but I'm not believing any forecast more than 48 hours out. They've been saying nice weather next week for a month now. We have at least seen some drying of the ground.
@@farawayfarm2520 My hay is going to be awfully stemmy.
@@Rollinghillsfarmsmn I know it. Same thing here. At least there's a lot of it if we can get it off.
We finally got our first crop put up here.
There was just under 19 acres and we got an even 100 big round bales.
@@tractortalkwithgary1271 Nice tonnage. Now rain is needed to help your second crop.
I know you addressed this before, but I forgot what is the curtain hanging behind the shields for on the mower?
It stops the stream of hay those impeller hammers send back so it stays in a windrow. Otherwise it would spray all over.
