I'm a customer. Why is there only 216 likes to this video after 1 year? I have a ProFlo4 in my shop and there is absolutely no information out there. It's a outstanding value.
I've ordered mine over a year ago and I still haven't received it, all I get from them is excuses, they may be a great system but until they fix your customer service and actually start shipping their customers parts they ordered and paid for they're not going to get any likes
Out of curiosity, I priced new carbureted components just to see how this system compares. . . Carb: $300 Intake: $300 Distributor: $300 O2 Sensor w/ AFR Gauge: $200 Tablet: $100 Total: $1,200.00. This system retails for $1,800 at Summit (for a 302 Ford). That's really not that bad considering what all you get. I haven't seen a carb yet that you could tune with a tablet over wifi. And remember, the first time you do tune that carb, you'll have to at least buy a jet kit for it. The system will support up to 550 HP. So, it would support changes to your combo much better than a carb setup. Come on Edelbrock, send me one for free! I talked it up enough didn't I?
Carb's are analog so you cant change jets with a tablet. ha ha ha. Yes for the price of all the parts included in our EFI systems, Fuel injection is the way to go.
@@mplante7352You are correct. EFI fuel systems are more expensive than carb systems. I still think wifi tuning is so much better than all those messy jet changes and spilling gas on my intake.
you guys checked marked almost all the boxes for "the ultimate EFI system!" add a second o2 the the passenger bank to tune them in sets of 2 and ill be on board!! larry
@Edelbrock USA what was thinking when you decided to only offer 1 X O2 sensor? The colors of the distributor look like MSD, is that who made it? Do I get rid of my 6AL box?
Ford 351 Cleveland kit please, there is nothing on the market for the Cleveland you guys should take advantage of that just imagine every aftermarket effort Cleveland in the world would be rocking elderbrook gear
@@kadenhayes2186 I appreciate the reply! Although I placed that question 3 years ago, and found out that the CPS (crank position sensor) is built into the distributor to do exactly as you mentioned. Thanks again!!
Since the intake is single plane, how well would it do on a 400 SBC in a truck used for towing? I would like to go with this, but don't want to lose any low end torque.
I have the total kit on order for my 351W in my 88 Bronco. I did not know it was this new. It was recommended to me. EFI system, Manifold, Electronic Distributor. My original PCM was toast. I was getting multiple codes from the EGR system and the engine was stalling when hot. We are talking EMP while driving. Total shut down. I replaced the block 30K miles ago so it is fresh. Unfortunately Ford just bolted on the original parts, now 30 years old. I am experiencing systematic failures one part at a time. At 30 years old, no need for emissions. Bye Bye EGR, Bye Bye original PCM and EFI.
Im thinking about pulling the trigger on this system in spring for a 90 F-150 with a 302 as well make a vid when your done i'd be interested to see it running. Thanks
As an early adopter of Edelbrocks EFI system.. Before you buy one of these.. Find out what happens when the version of Android and the software they supply arent compatible. I have one of the Estreet EFI systems that came with a tablet, The tablet died Edelbrock does not support it, The tech support guy said.. hey you have had it for years time to upgrade. I have a perfectly functional EFI system that I can not tune unless I can find a used tablet out there somewhere running 4.1 that works with the wonky app they wrote back then. Thats not the Edelbrock I grew up supporting. They have the ability to support these systems but chose to orphan anyone with the early Estreet and proflo systems.. I have a ton of Edelbrock parts and have always chosen their parts , Heads, Cams etc.. But from now on if it isnt something I can easily plug a laptop into and use any tuning software on.. No thanks. Sorry Edelbrock, Support what you sell many of us buy parts for projects that we do not get installed or running for several years.
It is like that everywhere. I bought a Holley supercharger for a 302 Ford. Not cheap. But now they no longer make replacement parts for it so when it fails, off to the dumpster it goes. 😬
Is there any information on the system from 1979? I am really interested to see how that system operated with late-70s tech. Can't find any info on the web since the oldest system people seem to have experience with is the 1992 and up one.
I have installed one my 1980 ford F150 with the 302. It was tricky to install with the mechanical downshift link for the transmission but it works great! You will also need a return line back to the fuel tank and a good fuel pressure regulator since it does not have one internally. Lots of relatively easy work. Performance makes it worthwhile. Highly recommended.
My buddy said he has a bead on a guy with this system for a pontiac. I was considering going sniper efi but he's selling cheaper than a new sniper. How have you people liked it so far? Asking current users
I just put this system on my 67 Firebird. 472 pontiac with a 238 duration 594/598 lift comp cam. Well, after 4 days and 6 different battery, I still can not get this started. I cant keep the voltage above 12 volts during start up. MSD high torque starter and tight engine. I currently have 2 AGM batteries 850/780 CCA and still cant keep voltage above 12 volts. I get 11.45 volts during starting. So that means ignition is disabled. HELP!!!!
Been interested in this system for a small block Mopar. Unfortunately, doesn't seem to work with Magnums unless you're running EngineQuest heads with the LA intake bolt pattern or have drilled your Magnum heads to LA bolt pattern. Not sure if the Super Victor Intake will play nicely with Magnum serpentine setup. Would be cool if Edelbrock had a Magnum style single plane intake for EFI. Sure, if I wanted to run EFI on a Magnum I could use the factory setup but a 408 stroker Magnum would be choked by the factory keg intake.
I'm looking at this with a set of trick flow 190cc heads on my 00 magnum 5.9. TF heads have the LA intake bolt pattern and are drilled for LA or Magnum blocks.
I've been really looking into either the fitech or one of these systems which personally I would prefer. While in reality the fitech super Ram plenum itself maybe Superior due to it being taller in the front and lower in the back which equals the airflow rate in the tunnel runners. But again is made in China and apparently they have horrible customer service. Regardless Edelbrock is a well-known name and being that this also comes with a distributor to have a complete system, which fitech does not, I would prefer to use this system. Do they have a pro Flo 4 system that would work on the l98 113 heads? Or do they have the pro Flo for system for early gen 1 small block Chevy? The only availability I C is for Vortec heads or E- Tech heads. At least with the early Style I can address the bolt pattern to fit on the 113 cylinder heads unless you have a system that will go on 113 heads.
Just adding to my earlier question, I would want the pro Flo 4 XT plenum. Do they have one available for early gen 1 small block Chevy (non vortec), or one compatible with the 113 heads? I see the original Pro Flo super Ram style plenum would work on early gen 1 small block Chevy, but I have not seen the pro Flo 4 XT for this. Any information would be greatly appreciated
Mileage to the gallon is really a problem on my 1406 carburetor, will I get better mileage to the gallon with this system?? I am very very disappointed in the 1406 Edelbrock carburetor I just bought!!!!
That's like the leanest carburetor Edelbrock makes. So ether you don't know how to drive, or you have issues in selecting, and installing vehicle parts.
Nice, but why don't you design a specific intake with the injectors right above each cylinder, rather than 2 injectors sharing the port between. Kind of defeats purpose of TPI.
1700 IS very EXPENSIVE, probly DOUBLE the cost of equivalent Carb. BUT wait thats not all, For this efi to work you also need a $600 fuel sump kit! BUT WAIT thats not all either. you need the distributor to let the computer know which injector to spray. It fires the injector based off which spark plug is firing
