  • Hello to all my viewers and subscribers! In this video I review my new Surefire mini pro turbo LED weaponlight. This is an awesome Light! Not cheap, but anything worth it, usually isn't. To perform optimally, it uses a special Surefire battery but a CR123 battery can be used, just not with the highest output or longest runtime.

Thanks for watching and let me know of any questions!

It’s the ‘turbo’ ones that throw that far. They are the best

Get mine today, full sized you know the micro and full size are close in power but your 100 lumens down and and over a hr lost of light time! Thats to much to give up to me

Nice light! I'll have to put one on layaway! 🤣 Oh, and BTW, your notification just interrupted my Fleche Wallonne race video, so you owe me!! 😆

I can't argue with you about that decision! I have one Olight flashlight and pretty much won't buy another one.
I just recently purchased the Surefire EDC1-DFT TURBO light that is their newest version of their single battery carry light that fits in your pocket (and has their newer clip that allows it to be attached on to the bill of a baseball hat so you can use it as a headlight or attach it to your pocket so it doesn't slide down to the bottom).
It comes with the new rechargeable battery but also uses their standard CR123 battery (although you don't get the extended run time and brightness that you do with their proprietary rechargeable battery). It has a super high and super low setting from just pushing the cap button, I got it in the FDE color, and love it!

A $400 flashlight and it uses a flathead screw?

Thanks for watching! Yes, it does use a flathead because you can use the rim of a 5.56 or 7.62 case to tighten it or loosen it. That's the way the slot is designed.

It's actually called a slotted screw (flathead) and yes surefire used that on purpose so that way if you don't have a torx or whatever else on you, then you can always get a knife blade or coin or anything almost to adjust it..

HA, HA!! Well, thanks for watching anyway! I LOVE THOSE MDT GRIPS and if they weren't quite so expensive, I'd change all my rifles, bot action and semiauto, out to that model. I have huge hands and those grips not only fit my hands perfectly, but you can adjust the fore-aft position and the angle--what more could you want?

MDT grips are pretty damn comfy

YES I AGREE!!!! I like them so much I almost was going to put them on every rifle I own-but that would cost me a fortune, and I do have other nice grips on my other rifles. I was even going to change them out on my 22LR rifles.
      Thanks for watching!

I take it you've never heard of modlite or cloud defensive? If not, definitely check them out. Modlite has been my favorite for years now, but the new cloud defensive rein 3.0 is definitely worth a serious look.
It took surefire half a decade or more to catch up to other brands.
The turbo is a pretty good light. I'm not taking that away from it. Just let's not act like they've made some huge leap in light technology. They've finally caught up and that's about it. 1,500 lumens with that kind of candela in that size light would have been worthy of surefire getting some credit for their r&d. The turbo lights just aren't. They're just finally on par with other offerings in the market.

      Hey, thanks for watching!
No, I hadn’t heard of those brands-I’ll have to check them out. We all have our favorites and for sure it matters to me if they have military contracts and how long they’ve been in business. I appreciate the info!
