You’re a brave soul my man. Even from the trailer, it looks like this was made for an animated spin off series for Nickelodeon, like The Penguins of Madagascar. But unlike that show, it seems like it doesn’t have the great writing to back it up the obvious made for TV animation. So they basically pulled a Clone Wars where the movie is basically like a pilot for the show. I’m kind of intrigued to watch because of the online backlash towards it but man as someone who does actually rank the original Megamind as one of Dreamworks’ best and found it subversive, clever, and has far more depth than you would expect from a typical superhero comedy starring Will Ferrell and was so ahead of its time that it didn’t get a fair shake when it came out, it seems like this just lacks any of that. Which is pretty disheartening for fans who wanted a sequel.

I fondly remember Jimmy Neutron as one of the better looking CGI television series, it helps that the writing and voice acting was genuinely good. The only reason the show got canned after three seasons was because the studio’s feature film (Ant Bully) was a box office bomb
Some of the Disney DTV films, like Return of Jafar, Stitch: The Movie or Rapunzel Before Forever After, pass the bar due to being decent pilots to their respective TV series. This film did not succeed even in those expectations. OOFPH!
It most certainly did not! I liked a number of those Disney animated show sequels. I remember Aladdin and Hercules being pretty fun. I think they did crossover episodes too.
@@chrisjherman I do believe that Kovu is Scar’s biological son. In the Lion King 2 they show scars face in the water when Kovu looks at the water during the awesome song with the animals singing. Also there is a deleted scene where Scar seduces Nala. Scar wouldn’t tell anyone that he Kovu is his biological son and that he had sex with Nala.
Man, Shrek the Third is so bad. I loved the first two films, but that third movie was such a disappointment. Still haven't seen the fourth film because of it.

I really enjoyed Jimmy Neutron as well. Shame that it got canceled. I also read it was really expensive and that played a role in its cancelation.
