I think Aaron Pierre couldn’t be more perfect. He has the face, the voice, and even has the green eyes. I think he isn’t quite old enough, but that gives time for the character to age.
I am a bit annoyed that Hollywood once again fails at casting a dark skinned black man in a high profile lead role. That being said AAron deserves this big break 👏🏾
Mister Terrific for DCU is, Bloodsport is, Amanda Waller is, and more in the DCU. The guy can literally bathe in the sun for a bit and it’s fine. Saying he ain’t black enough is insulting. I understand the argument, but this is one that should get some grace! Yall need to chill.
@@AlkalineInsidesplease tell me where I said he wasn't black enough? He deserves this big break. My opinion was regarding HW casting. You saying that he can go in the sun more is actually deeply offensive
@@omgspockwashere stop the gaslight. Complaining about him not being dark enough, is literally the same thing as saying he’s not black enough. If he’s looking at all this performative internet outrage from his own people, I’m sure it’s absolutely offensive to him. Me saying he can bathe in the sun a little was to pacify YOU, since you have such an issue with his shade of black (whether he chooses to do that or not, doesn’t matter to me). There will be all shades of blackness within the DCU. So many dark skin actors have been cast in things, and yall didn’t support anyway. So this particular complaint here is embarrassing to the black community. We are in the worst light we’ve ever been within media… and this is a beautiful win. For Aaron Pierre, A TRUE RISING STAR, to take the John Stewart character to the top. How about yall just wait and see what the final product will be like, before acting outraged and ridiculous. THEN we can go from there.
It's really annoying Hollywood can't just cast people that LOOK like the characters. If you're getting a black actor anyway why not get one that actually looks like John Stewart? A light skin black guy and a dark skin black guy do not look identical, can Hollywood seriously not tell the difference😑

I can't wait for Lanterns 😁 both Aaron Pierre & Nathan Fillon are going to crush their roles
I'm very excited to see both of them!
Good casting.
Agreed!
Perfect casting choice
Unlike Todd Phillips, James Gunn respects the source material.

Another a feminine superhero he'll probably be the gay one.
