I want to appreciate how PCA team helped me on this whole process including the incident Derek just mentioned, and I want to say you guys are really responsible and professional toward this exceptional case. I'm looking forward to importing another car with you guys in the short future.
Would you be willing to tell us how much you paid for the car? if not, even a ballpark figure would be okay. I am assuming the blue recaro's makes it more expensive than other Type R's but still curious.
@@Vhickenat the beginning of the video, it’s shows the price range from U$7k to U$20k using direct conversion and it’s cheap now because the yen is weak. My guess is he got it for 10,000.
Funnily enough, this isn't the first time I've heard of that situation. My buddy bought a R32 GTST with practically every last nut and bolt swapped over from a GTR. Even the miniscule stuff like the carpet and backseats, things you'd never bother swapping got swapped over. Our conclusion is that someone wrecked their track car, bought the GTST for cheap and swapped everything over
The blue on blue is brazy. Sick car whoever buyer is congrats. USA so we never got type R dc5 just type s but I’m not sure if jdm type s and usdm are same. I’m curious however what were the Honda wagons like from this time period? I know I’ve seen the Acura tsx wagon but did Japan get a Honda type r version of that car? Edit what did the yellow recaros come from?? I thought dc5 had black, red, blue, and yellow. But now that I’m thinking maybe yellow was ek and I’ve just seen blue recaros swapped into them.
Sounds like your first car may have been stolen and cloned. Very unusual for type S to type R conversions in Japan. I would argue that there's more type R's available in Japan anyway and cost to do type S to R conversion not worth it. Those conversions are very common I markets where the type R wasn't officially sold. Just my thoughts. Might explain why the auction house took it back easily. Did you get a picture of the first cars vin plate?
Love driving these baby ❤️❤️ got one at the moment ( 2006 Honda integra type r ) in black 😍😍😍

That brace is for the strut towers, the intake is in the way of it. Nice find whoever bought this, that GruppeM intake is very rare and sought after
Does GruppeM intake make great sound? The strut brace can fit under the aftermarket intake but the previous owner removed it anyway.

Feels like I've been watching this channel forever. Still subscribed to your old test drive channel.
Cannot wait till these are legal in the US. I'm literally counting down the days till I can contact you guys to buy mine.
That brace is the front strut brace, that airbox is preventing it fitting.
Very nice to be FIRST again...
Great video as usual ok man lol...

It's a nice car but that aftermarket hood just ruins the look of the car.

Any imports to Colombia South America?
Is the 400z selling in Japan? It seems nobody in America is buying them.
You can see quite a few of them around on a regular basis here. /Max
