In your fit test drive video I think you mentioned something about only being able to get a few pulls in due to heat soaking. In this video I notice you using the stock radiator, wouldn't that radiator be undersized for the larger engine? Or are Honda radiators interchangeable? Or maybe because this is intended for street use it's no big deal. I'm looking to learn more from professionals like you guys! I love your videos, I've picked up so much already!!!
This is so strange with the A4 block and A2 head swaps, ive literally done the same swap and it was close but didnt touch. Ive heard back and forth online of some people having it work and others not. So i wonder what is changing here that allows some to work? Which headgasket did you test with and was the vtc gear unloaded to 0 degrees? Update: ok rewatched, from what i could see you guys didnt use a head gasket, no wonder it touched! This was my conclusion, it wasnt the valves it was the pistons clearance to head and it is below min spec that a builder would want for clearance, BUT.... it works. Its a budget engine, if it runs it runs. I can't believe you guys went thru all that without testing with the headgasket! Lol
Needs a bigger header an exhaust an you'll benefit from those mods imo bringing more air in an not getting it out any quicker is most likely why you didn't gain anything from those mods. It's just an air pump, bad ass ride though appreciate the build an all the hard work guys

Granted its a budget build, but dropping a K20 head on it and possibly some higher compression pistons, theres no reason it shouldnt make good numbers NA. Probably end up cheaper than FI as well.

Hey, vtec academy my 2010 acura csx with automatic transmission my daily drive i awap the K2.0Z2 with a K2.4A2 TSX engine my problem is that I am still not available able to get an ECM to run the k2.4 i bought the ECM from an acura csx type S which is a manual transmission car is there any way i can swap in that ECM to run the K2.4
VSS will never work because your using a 05-06 PND ECU with a transmission that is not 05-06 but rather 02-04. Its a 5 spd base ecu and should use the trans that have speed sensor in the front of transmission rather than by the differential. Trans with VSS in front of casing those would be considered countershaft driven (2005-06). Not sure in KTUNER. Also, the 05-06 ECUS hardware are different, that's why people use 02-04 then send ecu to hondata to modify to work with 05-06 trans and speed sensor. So basically if you were to get a 05-06 5 spd then you would be in business, but you would still probably need VSS converter for your older cluster.
How do we work straight through? Would’ve probably been three or four days, not including shipping time for the parts we bought. We did it over a three month period.
Where in the world did he get these numbers from? k24a4 for $400, the cheapest Ive seen online is $899, transmissions damn near the same price, and a stock accord ecu around $200-$250. This has got to be a reupload of a video from like 10 years ago when the price of Honda parts was cheap and affordable.
We bought it from Pull-n-Save in Phoenix AZ. That’s normal pricing and is still the same here. On a 50% off day I purchased 2009 TSX engine and 6-speed manual transmission for $300. The TSX head I used in the video cost me $60 if I recall.

Hi idk if you guys read comment sections but Hi I did recently drove accidentally with my e parking brakes on I smelled burning .. I only drove for roughly 5-10 minute going 35-45 miles per hour , what further consequences or list all please I was trying to get to the gas station

@@VTECAcademy I just had alignment today cuz of LCA bushings replacement , they told me the rear camber arm needs to be replaced is this a good recommendation from them or nah
But you are not recommending the 07 year K series. Any other year is not worth the money.. please do a K series the proper way vs having to rebuy a correct engine to save money vs doing this way that wot cost more down the road

You can also take the type s RSX trans gears and swap them in the accord casing .
With some modifications to the case.

VSS will never work because your using a 05-06 PND ECU with a transmission that is not 05-06 but rather 02-04. The KTuner has functions that allow it to work with the CSS. It also outputs a correct signal for the cluster.

These are numbers you get at a pick and pull junkyard. I live in SC and I can pull a full TSX K24A2 longblock for $300.

You’re probably OK, but you might want to check and see what the pad wear looks like on the rear brakes.

Your transmission has a lot to do with putting that bower and power band down, accord trans are not that great .
We switched to an RSX transmission with LSD.
But you are not recommending the 07 year K series. Any other year is not worth the money.. please do a K series the proper way vs having to rebuy a correct engine to save money vs doing this way that wot cost more down the road
We didn’t recommend one way or the other. Of course there are some engines better than others.
