Why you didn't you ask Chomsky a follow up question on France's re-election of Macron after the massive demonstrations by yellow vests against Macron's policies. It doesn't make sense that same people who protested aggressively against a president vote for him again.
He always rightfully discusses the role of business class minority in rigging the worker's rights over the years but never does he discusses the other half of the picture which is the role of the worker's majority in aiding abetting them against their own interests.

@@globobai Macron's re-election makes perfect sense when you look at how the French presidential elections work.
They have a 1st round with about a dozen candidates, if no one gets over 50% the 2 candidates with the most votes go for a run off.
Usually around 25% is enough to go into the run-off and this time it was between Macron and the fascist LePen with the left-wing candidate getting only fractionally fewer votes than LePen. Some of the ones who don't make it endorse a specific candidate of the last two and others just said 'anything but LePen' but the result is that the eventual winner is a candidate that around 75% of the electorate did NOT want to be president, they just rather have Macron than a LePen.
When LePen's father got into the run-off the winning slogan was 'Vote for the fraudster, not the fascist'.

Here`s what got Trump most of his base: He was the host of a TV show. He seemed independently wealthy. They`d seen him take charge so many times on his show, they ended up never missing it each week. He`s a fake and they fell for it. He just acknowledged in court that he was a star and stars can just grab pussy throughout history. Actually, he said a million years ago which means he doesn`t read the bible, but do you think that matters to his Christian base? The new Christian today promotes the use of AR-15`s, not love or the word of their god.

The differenc between Left and Right is hardly trivial when it comes to the politics involved. After all, Trump and Biden couldn't possibly be more different from each other when you examine the sorts of results achieved for America by each President. As men, maybe they're not too different. But what they believe and how they each proceed is drastically different. In short, Chomsky is dead wrong.
Biden is the worst thing which ever happened to the USA.
His party does everything possible to dismantle the nation as established, meaning the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. Those two documents tell us who we are. Or at least, what we used to be up until 10 or 15 years ago, because now we have the very worst anti-Americans among us living on home soil, meaning those damn Democrats. That's right, the worst enemies of the USA are indeed the Democrats.
Biden is nothing but a goddamn puppet president. A total Puppet Fool.
Yank his strings, and watch him squirm. And on top of everything else, Biden is a racist. After all, he once said this on camera ... "If you don't vote for me, then you ain't black!"
Trump helped us by lowering taxes. But Biden fucks us. He makes doing business for oneself a royal pain in the ass because of endless regulations which accomplish nothing but gridlock for the economy.
Trump also achieved the lowest unemployment rates in untold decades
for minorities. Trump served the little people, and old Joe only pretends to serve the little people while hiding behinds his million$. Yeah, Old Joe is wealthy, but HOW he gained his wealth is a genuine mystery... unless you happen to be a Democrat. They know how Biden got to be filthy rich.

A deity failing to make everyone aware, fudges the title.
Christians assure themselves of having been delegated authority from a deity to spin The Divine shortcomings & be taken seriously too.

He's kind of an idiot that often contradicts himself, trying to fit reality into his own political beliefs, which makes for a terrible political analysis. For example, he claims countries are rejecting the US, in favour of China and Russia because the US...is so brutal?
Unfortunately, that makes extremely little sense. if the US is "brutal", or "barbaric", then what in god's name is Russia or China? Beacon's of enlightenment and human rights? Anything that is morally questionable in the US is going to be 10 times worse in the countries. I will bet you my life savings on that. Think waterboarding was bad? What do you think the Russians do to people? They will literally go after the family members of terrorists, not just the terrorists themselves, and literally cut their balls of (look it up). Waterboarding suspects is disgusting, but dismembering people you know are innocent, is easily worse.
One would be challenged to find many democracies siding with either Russia or China. The state of government is a much better predictor of alignment.

There was an economic system that worked after ww2 and until the monstrous spike in oil in the early 1970’s. Private sector wages were protected by laws that assured a strong union presence that even helped to lift the wage of non-union workforce. Reagan was elected in 1980 and led the charge that did the following: greatly reduced taxes for the mega rich, weakened private sector unions thru NLRB and Federal Court Judges that were sympathetic to the needs and desires of employers and reinstituted massive deficit spending which shifts most of the burden to our grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Scrolling through TH-cam and I see Noam Chomsky from 2mo ago speaking 100% truth with 1.5K views.
Before that was Andrew Tate interviewed by Tucker Carlson from a few days ago 91 million views.
The irony is in twenty minutes here Chomsky explains exactly why that is lol.
Thank you professor. You spoke truth to power as effectively as almost anyone in history and you still are at 94. I suspect privately you would admit it's all too late now.
    Keep shining bright sir.

you know, in fact they even do not want to hear the truth, knowing that their construct of American dream would collapse and they will have nothing. They preffer to pretend and keep on running in this vicious circle, better to say downward spiral. As long as they are able climb on the backs of people who are even worse off in their own country/ people in health care, social services, culture, cleaning workers, workers in general, peasants, ordinary employees / or people in Africa or Bangladesh, they subjectivelly feel good and they show off. Look, I bought this car, we have jacuzzi. Because we work hard in the foreign automotive company that produces fossil fuel cars and we are proud on it!
