Thanks very much for this Sir Gog. Had a freak illness keep me from properly trying 3.25 so this is a lucky respite for me to give Settlers a try in a fresh event and start with my best foot forward
Hope you feel better soon and good luck with Settlers! (Interestingly, that was a TH-cam autogenerated comment suggestion, but it's pretty close to what I'd have typed)
Thank you very much, thankfully I'm pretty much close to fully recovered now, and that's pretty funny (and eerie that autogenerated comments are becoming passable lol)
What an interesting guide, quite a lot of good info in here! I played a lot the first few weeks of the league and I still learned a lot of cool details :D
For avoiding smelting all your higher ore accidentally into bars, I did the following in the Gauntlet which worked pretty well: Be really slow about upgrading your smelters' ABILITY to smelt the higher bars. Basically only do it when you've passed the corresponding ore-need upgrades. Even at low upgrade status, smelters will not be the bottleneck early game anyway. This allows you to keep your smelters on without needing to remember to pull them off and to ship bars of the lower ores earlier.
Ydna's farm requires both a low port and a character under 52. If you level to 53 you'll start getting the mace as it's significantly more common. A lot of the ssf unique collectors had to roll HC characters to farm the belt this league.
trade part of game IS useful but i hate it and avoid it ,thats why my league runs (delve, crucible and dont remember 1 ) were crap. on week 3 i saw runecraft "socketed vaal skills...." and deicided to give it a try ,watched few yt vids but ultimately your info proved to be most useful ...i spent about 300ish div on that char wich is mor or less 600% more divs per char than ever b4 (wink-wink) and after that nimis fell in my lap wich was a dream i didnt think will come.....so...thank you very much (edit: also ..nice artwork)
0:40 TH-cam has allowed 1 channel that I know of, They live streamed, changed the video and we able to keep the 'Streamed Live' tag. off topic but yes it happened.
Excellent guide, per usual. I too missed most of Settlers and didn't play with recombination. Couple Qs: 1. What would be realistic aspirational recombinate gear for a solo casual in this shortened round 2 of Settlers? 2. What builds would you recommend for the short league and possibly limited economy? Anything but LS please😂.
Honestly don't care much about the league itself... it's the "restart" that's fun for me. Being broke, farming on a new build etc! :) Getting your build to work :D
I think its mostly the same strat as for normal settlers. The biggest mistake I made was to upgrade shipping to full after the miners. I had insane quotas early 😂
What is your thought on what to do about the actual ore in maps? i.e., is it worth / necessary doing the actual in map events early (acts 1-4) or does it scale so fast only worth doing in act 5 for example?
Any idea if it's more efficient to have farmers running 24/7 or to pay for disenchanters and spend time feeding them items? If you play a lot, you obviously do both. How about 1-2 hours play time per day? Do you get more out of your limited gold if you turn part of it into dust? I'd love to just not bother with uniques filling up my inventory and instead run map after map with a very strict filter, maybe dumping into stash every 20 maps or so.
I must've missed quite a bit, because last I remember people were crying about how recombinators weren't so strong. Guess they found out that they were wrong and jumped the gun on the assumption?
Yeah, happens all the time in POE. They were brokenly OP on day 1. They got buffed but the buff was irrelevant, akin to if GGG "buffed" armor by increasing the numbers on Thorns rolls. All the strats that dominated Gauntlet weren't buffed.
Played 3.25 to the end already, really itching to play poe, but osrs leagues are far more infrequent. I am honestly happy I don't have something new to play in poe when this leagues starts.
You need just a little for the timegates; as well as that at some point you'll need better gear, the metal encounters just drop a lot of stuff, in line with an act boss. Agree with not doing many, but you'll want to have marked one or two piles of each ore (minimum) by act 5.
It better to do some of it. If not you are going to stuck some where As you move. The ore that came out will be higher tier. So you might get stuck without 1 of the ore if you don't do at least some of each
Small correction to one of the last slides mentioning "even up to divines". It should be "even up to mirrors". First time since I started the game app. 8 years ago (breach league), I found the Mirror of Kalandra - not from a drop, but from lvl 10 map/mappers. So fingers crossed - some of you might have the same luck ; )
I hope that people take the next 3 months to go outside, be with people, get some exercise etc, as opposed to sitting in their room playing the same league than probably only about 1 out of 50 players are even interested in playing. I've known 3 players over the last 2 years that got cancer and they are all gamers and fairly young. I don't say that to be negative, but to let people know that sitting for hours and hours every day is no healthy for the body and sooner or later your body will let you know about it and it won't be kind about letting you know and by then it will probably be too late. I myself have developed health problems due to gaming too much and now I only game for about 1 to 2 hours a day at the most.

Thats`s why I love PoE - a presentation with almost no gameplay gets me excited for trying "new" league :)

I thought I had figured out Kingsmarch on this league after getting two perfect upgrades, but this is on a different level. Thanks for great video.

thank you for this guide Lord Gog pepeKneel, are thou plans to bless us with a recomb guide also mayhaps?

Under 52 it can't drop right? Maybe exactly 52
Thanks alot for this very good and helpful content.
Im currently farming simulacrums in ssf. Good tip about the mappers supplying splinters. I will try that.

Boss items also give 30k dust
If you are running elder shaper

Done with Settlers league, not playing the relaunch, still watching sirgog

I think simulacrums are so cheap because 1) running them is low div/h 2) farming deli orbs is high div/h and effortlessly generates 200 splinters/map.

farmers are number 1 prio in your town
If you stash only every 20 maps either your run the most dry maps possible or you leave 70% of the value on the floor.

@sirgog Are there updated guides on it? Maybe when recombination should be used.
Dear Mr. Gog, can I have an automatically generated youtube answer please? 😁
nope it's not suggesting any for you :(
So sad youtube is weird.
I'll have to do with your manually entered personal answer then. A good second. 🤪

please delete the yndas segment, regards, the divine mafia
whats a town setup?

Oh yeah, Sanctum is brutal on the gold income...
I still have to decide between OSRS Leagues or this PoE event...
Can't answer that for you - which do you think will be more fun? Play that one.

Whats OSRS league?
@@GE_Photon_Lord Oldschool Runescape leagues. Every year there's a league not unlike poe leagues that goes for a couple months.
@@GE_Photon_Lord old school rune scape maybe?

i will skip it , no way im upgrading everything again , instead i will try to gamble on blackmarket , and maybe im getting something out of it
don't do kings march nodes until at least act 5, 10 ore is not worth doing them for.

I can't prove Hinelocks or mirrors are unusually common there. I kinda suspect they are, but a sample size of ~10000 maps isn't enough to be sure.
