When I first saw the trailers I made assumptions about what their characters would be like
Ruby/Red- The fearless leader who is powerful and doesn't let anything get in her way (pretty accurate)
Yang/Yellow- The powerhouse of the team that don't take shit from nobody (pretty spot on, it was easy to tell, what with all the dialogue)
Blake- The quiet and introverted loner girl who can get kind of sensitive and/or angry (ehhhhhhhh...)
Weiss- The quiet, polite girl that holds the team together whenever internal fights break out (BOY WAS I WRONG)
yup, I thought the same of Weiss........ her trailer was a bit misleading to her character
Allison Li Her trailer didn't say shit about her character, more that she's just a badass with a toothpick-sword
When Ruby crashed into Weiss and scattered her dust I was expecting her to shy away from Ruby as she was picking up all her bottles, but what did she do? When you really listen to the lyrics, this song is REALLY deep.
So first, Weiss asks the mirror who is the loneliest of all. Being a mirror, it shows her herself. She asks again, and it still shows her herself. Then she asks what is she on the inside, and whether a heart can be turned to stone (she has been hardened by war and doesn't feel emotions anymore, and she asks if it is normal). She asks whats behind the mirror denying that she is the loneliest. She says "save me from the things I see" because she's scared of what she's become. She can keep her dark past from others, (I can keep it from the world) but she can't lie to herself about it (why won't you let me hide from me?). In a final desperate attempt, she asks the mirror again who is the loneliest of all. At this point, she accepts the fact that she is the loneliest of all.

temporaldoom There's another, even darker possible reason for the whole mirror theme: if Weiss is aware, even if in denial, of how corrupt her family has been implied to be, could she be afraid, even subconsciously, that she's going down the same route? We keep having these played-for-laughs moments where she gets all tyrannical and there are thunderclouds in the background... what if such moments are actually hinting that megalomania and tyranny run in the family? Seeing Winter Schnee or the father may lead to some interesting insights....

The theory behind this piece is simply beautiful.
I think this song tops itself from 1:52 and onwards, but I wish it was longer. It's not even three minutes, and it's the only song that doesn't have a second version or the like. For example, in RWBY OST Volume 1; Red like Roses has part II, From Shadows have two different versions, and I Burn has as many as three versions (Yellow Trailer, Remix and original)! I think Mirror Mirror deserves a longer version that focuses on the part from 1:52. But until it gets an official longer version, I'll just enjoy it as it is. But still, it's a shame. Casey Lee Williams is a fantastic singer for just being 15 years old.

Im an anime watcher and wasnt used to the animations at all. But damn, you gotta admit the storyline is a ton better than most generic anime nowadays, and theres actually CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT (which alot of generic animes dont have). Also the soundtrack is just amazing. They have a seperate soundtrack for each episode. Really shows how much effort their composer puts into this show, rather than using the same soundtracks as well. And the even better thing is that the composer always keeps hints of the original Ruby theme in it, so the tune isnt lost.

We have no idea how the other kingdoms will react to what happened during the incident, but I know it won't exactly be a warm response. All they've seen are that Atlas has questionable methods and their machines attacked innocent people. What else can be said? Cinder had all of her bases covered with her plan.

I used to not really like Wiess' character because I just thought that she was mean, and wasn't strong enough. But within the fist 5 episodes I really started to lover her and aprettiate her character. She has definitely improved and delveloped. I can't wait for volume 5 so we can see how strong only her but also rest of the team become.

Not gonna lie, my least favorite in the team. SO glad the 3rd season had her mellow out because she was insufferable in the first season. first of all I think this song and possibly Weiss is based in Snow White. Second of all why am I the only one that acctualy noticed that during the fight we never saw the scar weather it is their or not because until we see blood on Weiss's eye the video never really angled it good enough for us to see the eye without the blood. I have no idea if my animr fanboy is trying to trick me or something smells fishy.

Poor Weiss falling for an obvious traitor, Poor Sun being friends with that traitor, Poor Weiss again for probably being the one to fight Neptune god of Earthquakes and the Sea. Poor Mercury for revealing his name, Poor Roman Torchwick for probably being their father figure, Poor Neptune why couldn't he have been named Poseidon. Poor Roman gods they're used again, they could have done like Norse gods there I would have loved to see Jupiter and Thor fight in this reality.

Arthur Estudillo I think Roman's name is supposed to be a play on Roman Candles. He is, after all, based on Candlewick from Pinocchio, and his weapon shoots fireworks.
bigfatcarp93 I think what Arthur Estudillo is trying to say is Mercury (who works for Cinder/Roman), which is based off the Roman (mythological) God, while Neptune (who is Sun's friend) is also based off the Roman (mythological) god. So there's like a similarity between them, which allows room to believe they work for the baddies.

According to Jeff Williams RT Journal, his daughter's been sick and when they recorded From Shadows originally, he wasn't satisfied with the quality and wants to re-record her vocals. He's probably been working on other tracks for RWBY, not to mention Yellow's theme, so who knows when it'll come out.

The song is so bad ass, yet when I listen to it I can't help but feel sad mainly because of the lyrics. Makes you want to help her. and then you remember that she isn't real. Just like all great animated characters you forget they are animated. And this is just the trailer!
The official RWBY Wiki has the character from the first trailer listed as Ruby (which kinda makes sense; the name of the show could be taken as being derived from the main character, even though it isn't), while the star of this trailer is introduced as Weiss when she's about to sing.
Are you talking about when she walks up to the stage? At that time, she has it because this battle is a sort of flashback in her memory.
