Yeah, they do a good job of varying the style, so you actually associate them as being different voices. Her voice in each of the four trailers takes on different qualities, so it really feels like the characters. Jeff's part in From Shadows also feels like Adam singing.
the best is that theres a foreshadow to Blake being a fauness in the first part of Jaundice because Cardin is picking on a fauness (forgot her name but she has rabbit ears) and Pyrrha says that she hates people like Cardin and Blake replies with something like "i feel exactly the same" which could be towards both the fauness because of her past being picked on and Pyrrha because she hates people who look down on faunesses

I saw the album cover for the first album and thought it was going to be full on anime, not a 3D-anime hybrid. I also visualized a much different trailer. I imagined Blake (solo) in a hood running through a darkly lit facility (for whatever reason, there was a purple fog about the place) until a giant ass robot stops her, saying "INTRUDER. IDENTIFY YOURSELF." to which she smirks, throws her hood off and proceeds to whoop ass. There would also be no talking, and (of course) it was drawn rather than rendered in 3D. Music is a powerful tool when you don't know jack shit about where it comes from.

Someone took a screenshot of right before the stab, and he stabbed her right below the gut, if you know what I mean. I assume this is to make sure that she won't be able to have kids with anyone as revenge.
I'm posting this to give proper commendation for the piano at the end. It's just so beautiful. I was already being sold on RWBY the first time I heard it, after Red and White, but when I heard this melody of a lonely, melancholy piano piece after the intense guitars and drums, accompanied by the beautiful, simple visual of Blake's silhouette standing alone in the red background, fading slowly into the distance... Deep down, I knew I was in for something truly great. It is striking and so stunning in its simplicity yet it hits you like a wave. PERFECT parallel interaction between the music and the visual story going on. The music is intense during the action and soft when Blake is alone, both at the start and end of the trailer. I saw this, and I knew it deep down. This is a glimpse of something filled with emotion and passion from the person/people who made it. A labour of love that shows right through. And I was right.
Unfortunately RWBY's new writers don't seem to share that cause as much as Monty does... They DO give lengthy characters arcs, but only to Jaune. They're biased now...
I had my doubts when I started watching Volume 4. But scenes like Jaune reassuring Ruby, Sun telling Blake she's not alone and Ruby's letter to Yang gave me reassurance that RT's heart's in the right place, and they're doing their best to find their way.
I like how they put the whole "Born with no Life" before the "From Shadows" part, because I always thought it was weird how From Shadows came first, and didn't even repeat after Born with no Life. I like the changes, but it'll be hard to get used to since I've had the trailer version on my phone since the song was released.
For some reason I just imagine when this song starts that there's just this dude, he wakes up in the middle of the night to get a midnight snack, and then all of a sudden his mom catches him and they engage in a brawl in the house. Totally not based off of a true story. (noms on cookie)

This would make a great villain song, which it kinda is. Its a litany of grievances as justification for taking violent action... this is basically a terrorist/guerrilla/freedom-fighter/etc anthem here.
Blake is definitely my kind of character. A practical, cunning, and realistic person who has wisdom beyond her years, who doesn't buy into naive labels like 'good' and 'evil,' and who stands against discrimination of any kind. It also helps that she's a dashing rogue and a former criminal hiding in plain sight, who did it with nothing more than her own intelligence and a little black bow. Also, she's got a very sharp tongue, something she uses to berate the idiots of the world such as Cardin Winchester. And then there's her past. Everyone loves a good, dark past. Damn, I can't wait for volume 2 to be reunited with my favorite faunus (and for her to be reunited with her former partner in crime)!

Squigly Yes I have played them and also you need better animation besides the very amateur style that is RWBY. This Bayonetta style you refer to is a common practice in all Japanese Anime Action genre. Killing hordes of enemies with impossible odds. I prefer if they do a game it be more of technique style as they have problems actually fighting their enemies, but if they do make it yeah it be very brain dead action base while enemies just stare at you while murder them in hordes.
It's growing on me, but only a little. Still not as good as the trailer, so many harsh/awkward changes. Even in places where they go from the same part A to the same part B, they've somehow screwed with it. The main redeeming quality is the amazing lyrics. Funny how people are saying that they shouldn't be violent, even though violence is the only method that has worked for the faunus. They won the great war with violence, but no one is saying *those* faunus were in the wrong. Even then, all they asked for was equality and peace only to be denied once again. Now 70 years of peaceful protesting later, the white fang get violent and are only now gaining respect after retaliating against those oppressing them. Oh, but the *humans* are the good guys here. Um, yes. Most of the characters have projectile weaponry embedded into the melee of some form. Ruby has sniper rifle scythe, Yang has shotgun brass knuckles (approximation), Ren has blades affixed to his machine pistols, Nora has a grenade launcher in her hammer, Pyrrah has sword/rifle/rocket powered spear + shield, and Blake has a machine pistol as the handle of her katana, along with the fact that she can use it as a grappling hook/flail/kusarigama, Weiss has a Rapier loaded with dust crystals in a revolver mechanism, it elementally charges her attacks and lets her use rune circles, Jaune's shield collapses into a sheath for his sword and now i'm out of characters I can think of off of the top of my head. (le pant) Wow, that was a mouthful.

You know, the more I think about Adam shooting his sword out of his sheath, the more I think about Adam being the hellspawn of Jetstream Sam and Lelouche Vi Britannia. But, that's just me.

Haha I think this pairing is purely wishful. More of a fantasy than anything else. I for one am not aware of any real evidence for it. But maybe if it becomes popular enough Monty might see that it does actually happen. I certainly hope so.

It seems unlikely that any of the main four would die before the last season or two of the show, for several reasons. Sun, however, lost all plot armor around V3E12, just like every character that wasn't one of the main 4.

Pretty cool how it seems like the song ends similar to the way it began just like how Blake's story began with her running from Adam and ended in Volume 3 with her running away from Yang.

This Bayonetta style you refer to is a common practice in all Japanese Anime Action genre. Killing hordes of enemies with impossible odds.
I prefer if they do a game it be more of technique style as they have problems actually fighting their enemies, but if they do make it yeah it be very brain dead action base while enemies just stare at you while murder them in hordes.

It's growing on me, but only a little. Still not as good as the trailer, so many harsh/awkward changes. Even in places where they go from the same part A to the same part B, they've somehow screwed with it. The main redeeming quality is the amazing lyrics.

RT needs to make an official lyric booklet, music video or something. No offense to Jeff or Casey but their ability to convey the words aren't the best and the fact that most of their songs are rock doesn't helps either. I can make out the first verse of From Shadows but I have problems with the second one. I just looked up second one and some of the words differed from what I thought it will be by listening.

Funny how people are saying that they shouldn't be violent, even though violence is the only method that has worked for the faunus. They won the great war with violence, but no one is saying *those* faunus were in the wrong. Even then, all they asked for was equality and peace only to be denied once again. Now 70 years of peaceful protesting later, the white fang get violent and are only now gaining respect after retaliating against those oppressing them. Oh, but the *humans* are the good guys here. All they had to do was stop being as assholes at any point in time, and treat faunus as equals, and literally nothing bad ever would have happened. Now cinder and co. are just using the white fang, because they would rather help take down the system that's been keeping them down. Why this is a surprise to anyone is bewildering. pun intended.

Um, yes. Most of the characters have projectile weaponry embedded into the melee of some form. Ruby has sniper rifle scythe, Yang has shotgun brass knuckles (approximation), Ren has blades affixed to his machine pistols, Nora has a grenade launcher in her hammer, Pyrrah has sword/rifle/rocket powered spear + shield, and Blake has a machine pistol as the handle of her katana, along with the fact that she can use it as a grappling hook/flail/kusarigama, Weiss has a Rapier loaded with dust crystals in a revolver mechanism, it elementally charges her attacks and lets her use rune circles, Jaune's shield collapses into a sheath for his sword and now i'm out of characters I can think of off of the top of my head. (le pant) Wow, that was a mouthful.

I don't get why I'm the only person in the world who had no problem with his voice. The only voices in the entire first volume I had a problem with were Cinder and the "you no good stowaway!" guy.
