Electro's theme is an underappreciated masterpiece. Maybe not Hans Zimmer's best work, but from a perspective of storytelling through music, it's top tier
Ironic knowing that Vi's voice actress is spider verse's Gwen stacy. Btw, oddly enough, this video gives me vibes of a modern take on a Superman villain called Livewire. She would definetly fit both TASM 2 electro's aesthetic and Jinx's personality.
Vi and Gwen both say “you’re all I have left” to their family members and are emotionally detached from people after dealing with a friends death. Plus they’re hot and have cool haircuts.
Sometimes the harder we try to protect those we love, the more we end up pushing them away. Jinx only wanted to do what was right, just as she was taught. And when all doing the right thing does is punish you further, you're bound to lose yourself.
it's also cool, because at the table scene Vi was trying to make Powder come out through her memories, trying to bring the best of Jinx, but she was just tormenting her and ended up breaking.
Yeah, Powder/Jinx also fits with Max/Electro music. By the way, man, I don't see you on Battlecharacters, don't you follow him anymore? Just for asking.
The angry electronic whispers do a beautiful job illustrating the accumulating desperation, anger, and despair. It hides behind the happy-go-lucky flutes, but intensifies and organizes into an barely indescribable chant as we get closer to the main score.

I'd say "Easily" is a stretch. As Silco died, he claimed he wouldn't have handed Jinx over, if so there would've been war regardless. And Jinx actually DELAYED the war when she was a kid and unintentionally exploded the whole building filled with shimmer. And even if Jinx didn't shoot the rocket, who would have been the ruler of Zaun without Silco?...The council would probably retract the offer since Silco died.
I feel like an idiot for never noticing, but in case nobody else did: Powders eye when silco is hugging her at the fire is pink from the flame. I fucking love how i keep finding more foreshadowing
Even funner reference for you, random stranger I found 1 year later. That scene where powder's eye shines while silco hugs her? Fans of art with a keen eye will recognize the semblance. It's a direct mirror to the art piece "Fallen Angel", showing the bitter resentment and anger in Lucifer's heart as the biblical Yahweh casts him out of heaven. It is a renaissance piece that represents betrayal, hatred, and inevitable doom. Nothing screams "I will make you regret what you have done to me" more than lucifer... and powder.
I may be looking into this too much, but it also shows the darker/ruined side of Silco's face when he hugs powder, maybe it foreshadows how he corrupts powder.

@@adamboy0559 oh 100% I was just stating there were 2 villains in the movie, but absolutely Electro was the best villain! He should’ve been the only villain in the movie tbh.
“When we were younger we’d come up with bigger and bigger monsters. She’d get scared and I’d chase my own monsters away” makes me think of that last scene when Vi is listing off people and Jinx envisions them as monsters.
Because all of the people Vi said chases away monsters. Then they all called her jinx. And died. And she was saddled with all that anger and guilt and unresolved trauma. And the girl who "always scared all the monsters away," Vi, in the end, when she needed her most, punched her, blamed her, mocked her, then left her to rot. The scariest monster isn't the biggest, it's the Changeling, the monster that pretends to be your sister...
@@KingDogelllwell punching her and calling her a jinx was to far then she walked away and got taken so that was the last words that powder heard and silco just built on that

Maybe one day in the future, I can feel this feeling again. You can truly feel the descend into madness, the battle with inner demons.
That scene where both Silco & Vi are yelling at her, it shows scribbles that seem to be Vi & Silco surrounding her in her head when she's curled up, but there's a 3rd blue one, initially I thought it was her imagining Caitlyn, bc she's villainized Cait in her head before but now I'm starting to realize that it could actually be Powder within her, her old self, her subconscious yelling at her too.
No those scribbles are milo (blue) tiger (red/orange) and vander (purple), the scribbles come from her demonizing them, or I guess more accurately being demonized by them, how she imagines they would feel towards her. It’s exactly why she doesn’t want to remember them, because she feels solely responsible for their deaths
The little whispers could represent Jinx's voices in her head talking to her and putting her down constantly. This theme wasn't made for her, but it sure fits her.
