2018 Indian Scout Bobber Corbin Seat Review UPDATE

- Today I took my Indian Scout Bobber out for a one hour ride, shot a video review, then continued to ride for another 40 minutes home (and got caught in the rain). Here is my updated review of the new Corbin seat. Enjoy!

Absolutely beautiful shots of that bike next to the water. You're right about one thing... that bike don't need a damn thing more.
Well that settles it! I did a 4 hour ride on the stock seat last fall and was really hoping to find a seat that looked this good and had good reviews!

By bike finally arrived Saturday! You were absolutely, 100% correct on the stock seat. Exhaust was going to be my first upgrade, scratch that! Corbin here I come! Thank you for the review!
Joe Davis awesome to hear, Joe. It’s a bit frustrating that Indian would put out a stock seat this uncomfortable, especially when they get the rest of the bike very right. I always expect to have to upgrade an exhaust, but a seat should be a nice-to-have upgrade, not a necessity...safe riding, man!
Yeah I upgraded my exhaust first (kuryakyn maverick crusher slip ons... love em) seat should have gone first I am not sure if I should go Corbin or Mustang though this seat looks amazing.

Great news. Glad to hear it is working so well. I get my bike this week, and the seat should be another week or two. Lots of riding to do, to break the bike in, so it's all coming together.

I did a two hour ride on the stock seat a couple days ago and had no issue, but, that seat looks cozy
Scott Stewart I did a five hour ride on the stock seat once, I think I stopped 20 times. wasn’t sure I’d ever walk again :)

Thanks for this, and sharing you choice of pattern and such. Would you mind sharing how you requested the pattern? I'd like to do the same, tan on top, black to the sides. Sent an email off, with links to this video and another to Corbin to show them what I wanted to order. But, no reply... it's been a few weeks. Thanks again!

Nice seat the Corbin is great. I got the natural black and chocolate brown. Looks killer on my bike. If you’re still having issues with a rough ride try changing out the tires. I put pirelli night dragons on and it made a big difference imo. This is my first bike so I don’t know any better lol

Frank Marin really hope you enjoy it, Frank. I’ve felt a bit of mental relief since getting this seat, as the bobber was getting quite uncomfortable. It’s still not a touring bike by any means, but what a difference...
What are all the colors on the seat? Would really appreciate it! Their website is too confusing . And I’m really wanting to order this thing

I screwed up and bought a Mustang seat that said it would fit would fit, but was made for the regular Scout with the 'thingy' that protrudes through the rear fender (which the Bobber doesn't have). I assume the Corbin seat slides under the rear fender like the factory?

Great review.. when I went on line to order my seat all I can find is diamond pattern sticking.. I prefer the look of yours .

I can’t seem to find this seat on there website. I love the stitching on this seat but all I can see on their website is a diamond and horizontal stitched pattern rather than this long front to back stitching. Could you tell me where exactly you got this seat from and what it is called please?
Is that a orange ny plate I seen? Where did you end up going to get that bike? You have any suggestions on a good place to find a nice used scout perhaps?

Got my bobber and I love the thing but the seat sucks, my male bits actually fell asleep the first time riding it which led to a very awkward dismount at the dealership
Would you consider selling your Corbin? Because I don’t live in America and there isn’t any distributors here. Corbin never reply’s to emails. If you want to change your seat in anyway I will buy this one thanks

Bart Suchecki hey Bart, I’m 6’0 but probably the max, I do believe they make forward controls for the bike, it’s worth checking with your local dealer
Lot of guys around 6'2 and 6'3 ride the Scout and Scout Bobber. Worst case you might need to move the controls or different handlebars or simple adjusting the handlebars might do it. Point is, 6'1" is well within the range of being comfy on this bike.
I really like that seat looks pretty hot!

I spoke to corbin today and we are at least 6 months out for the passenger seat.
What model seat is this? All I can find on Corbin’s website is the seat with quilted stitching but I like yours better!

Thanks for posting. I hate my seat. Id like to do something about the rear suspension too. every time i go over a speed bump or a pothole its like riding on a stack of bricks!

Juan Molina not at all, seat has been perfect, no complaints. I just bought a power vision cx, as well as rear shocks, new fork springs and some other upgrades, so expect a few new videos soon

Great review... I've been thinking of getting one. I like the stitching on your seat... When I look on Cobin's site it looks like they cross stitch the seat... Did you special order with that stitching ??

Ryan, I can’t get my seat to completely latch and it’s like the metal part under the seat is scratching up against the rear fender. Did you have to mod, such as bend the top of the fender down? Frustrating, it almost catches but no dice.
swich2mac nope, no mods necessary. But I had to get a neighbor to help pull the wiring harness up while I got the bracket in place
Ryan Karchner Yeah, I had my wife help me do that. Mine is off about a 1/4 so I assume that Corbin misaligned the bracket under the seat. Huge separation Ip front between the seat and tank. Really sucks, will call then in the am.

Ryan Karchner yes and I used the outer hole. Did you use the inner?
swich2mac not near the bike at the moment to verify but try starting there, whichever I chose on the first try was the correct one
What stitching is that? Corbin only do Diamond shape or Tuck & Roll now...

I'm just thinking, if they took it off the menu, then maybe they had issues with it not being as sturdy as the Diamond or Tuck....
_ Opdeemist sold the bike a while ago but it was solid and no issues

Great-looking bike, I wanted an Indian but I was approved at a Harley dealer so I went with a sportster 883 superlow. I really like the brown seat.

The pattern on the seat cover seems to be different that what Corbin’s site shows, I just ordered mine and it says 3-4 weeks but I like this pattern better, is there some where I had to chose it at?
The pattern on Corbin’s site shows a sort of diagonal stitching grid.
djdduty I think it’s called stealth stitching pattern, but I would double check with them on the phone to confirm
