    Very good video - very helpful for my install. One thing you should mention is that you *don't* need to jack your bike up for this. If you were moving both frame rails, you would, but for this install where you only remove one side, you do not. It may scare people off from doing this if they feel they need to jack their bike up.

      Dude.. thank you, I've been stressing about this. I was going to try to jack my bike with a scissor jack and wood. Maybe I can be more confident without all that now

    I used your video to guide me through the install on a 2023 Rogue. Process was virtually the same. I had a syndicate seat so there were just a few more bolts at the rear fender that needed to be removed to remove the seat.
    The fuel line was in a slightly different position but everything else was exactly the same.
    I didn’t use a stand and the frame bolts and nuts went in as smoothly as they came off.
    I can’t afford a 2-1 exhaust so I went ahead and drilled out the baffles.
    I did retune using PV3 which is still supported in newer model Scouts.
    Thanks again for a great video!

    I'm up for the 15,000 mile service, which includes a new air cleaner. I'd rather spend $300 to get a bike jack and a Trask cleaner than pay labor charges. This showed me just how simple the job really is.

    Just to make things much easier, I removed the fuel line just like in this video, but broke the connector up by the tank as i was trying to snake it around the frame and other lines. The elbow on the connector is very delicate, and cost me $70 to replace. I've found that it is much easier (and cheaper) to remove the fuel line at the tank, which is right next to the fuel pump electrical connector. There is more room and the connector is bigger, so it makes it easier for people like me with fat fingers, to get the lines loose.

    1) Would it make a difference if I installed aftermarket air filter *without* an aftermarket exhaust?
    2) Would it make sense to install the aftermarket air filter and tune with Dyno Power Vision 4 *without* an aftermarket exhaust?

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi,
      1 the bike will breath a little better but no noticeable increase in power.
      2 a good tune can improve even a stock bike, therefore the bike might feel a little better even with the stock exhaust

    Well, i can't see what the benefit is to this air filter system..... I mean the filter element, yes but, this system removes the cold air induction.... • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Every exhaust has different requirements, a good rule of thumb is if it's a full exhaust (from headers to silencer) it needs a tune to run properly, if it eliminates the O2 sensor, it definitely needs a tune. So I would say yes,but to be 100% sure you need to refer to what the manufacturer says

    • @AlbesADV

      The old air box had a baffle that directed the air coming from the front to the top and then down through the filter. The new filter eliminates the air box altogether and filters air from all sides, so is the same as a conical filter for a car

      The stock air box is restrictive, not enough airflow is going through to keep up with the aftermarket exhaust

    This just seems like a poor design by Indian to have the air filter placed underneath the tank .
    Why make it so difficult to replace ?
    How about a more conventional side mounted air filter.
    Maybe future models will have an improved system which I’m sure the engineers can figure out without impacting performance if not improving it.

    Do you have to oil this style of filter?

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can wash it and re-oil it when it needs to get cleaned 👍

    Bro can i use another oil on my indian scout like the Liqui Moly or Motul 10W-60????

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would use any brand as long as it's synthetic and the recommended weight, like the 15w-60 whenever possible unless you ride in extreme conditions like very cold or very hot weather
