I bought this record the first time on the Kids soundtrack used at School Kids Music in Athens, OH, circa 1996. I can't express the founational effect it had on the music I've made (good and bad) in the nearly 30 years since.
Here's a throwback to the way, way back: the first time I heard this song was on Grooveshark! Still one of my all-time favorites! Thanks so much for posting!🥰
Wait... What?!? OMFG... YES! Which streaming service, or is it all of them? This is a huge reason I dropped the services, so would be great to get back to it.
It’s a crazy story, they didn’t talk for 20 years after a bad breakup and reconnected during the Covid shutdown. The NYT just did a nice little piece of them. Very interesting stuff if you’re interested!
Dangit that's the same lead guitar tone (on the mini-solo riff that leads into the chorus, I guess is when it happens) that I've loved long time. Edge of break-up sure, but does anyone know which pup, pedal and amp combo? It's a very similar tone that Perfume Tree used on their A Lifetime Away album and before that. It's a common "alternative" guitar tone, but I'm more of a keyboard player, so I don't recognize the factors (aside from the player) that get this specific tone. I mean the little repetitive single note riff-solo thing, not so much the chord stabs, though the difference between those might only be the gain levels, IDK.
this song is an entire vibe.
Every instrument in this band sounds so bad ass.

Wasn’t Kids such a disturbing movie?? That’s also where I first heard this song
Same. Also got the first Silverchair album
After all these years, this song is still one great big mood... & I STILL LOVE IT.
Lou with a beard!
Lou is such an underrated bassist.
What a killer rendition from this classic released over a quarter century ago. That deserves a WOW!
So nice to see this band active again. "One Part Lullaby" is a low key masterpiece...
100%! They have a new album coming this year. Check it!
Except "Serge" is missing from all the streaming services. Had to buy a CD to get access. Not complaining about that but still.
My respects to this legendary band 🔥
i just cant express my love for lou barlow
Me too! Sebadoh is one of my favorite bands of all time

They sound fantastic!
right on guys.. nailed it . respect. always. peace.
Hey, This is really cool!
the 'Kids' soundtrack had some jams
Jenny’s Theme and Raise the Bells are my favorites.
It’s true! Imagine how many kids heard slint for the first time on that soundtrack.
It’s brilliant and nobody knows about it!
“Low Down Click” 😆😆
Good morning, Captain, by Slint is the best song in that soundtrack. FACT
A very welcome back!
Ohhh Johnny!! That guitar! Sick AF!!
Memories with this song
Love this! Simply great song!
Great baseline. Love this

Great comeback! Loved listening to them during my college days.😊
Great rendition! 🎉
So great! I loved these guys. Glad to see they're still jamming this. Legendary!!
so much emotion in his voice and this track in general...so happy they're still active

Not enough bass! The bass is the beauty of the song, Lou. It says more than the lyrics.
Fuckn A this is good
More please

¡Qué berraquera!

95 was a strange time. Post nirvana, beginning of Brit Pop and the rise of rap
Michael Modest brought me here.
The rumor at my school back in the day was that the this song sampled a porno soundtrack. To this day I still think it could work
Yeah, why wait so long?
Happy isn't the word that I need to describe seeing F.I. back together. Give me some time and I'll come back and edit my comment.
very good track… bass too low thou (aaand it’s an important opening motive… asaange on the git ? 😅
Change the vocals back... it's grungy that way.
Lou Barlow fell down the stairs and woke up convinced that he is in the Proclaimers?
Amazing that Lou Barlow got through an entire song without throwing a crybaby hissy fit.
Without the backing vocals(???????)😢😢😢
Oh man. Dude fucked it up.
Should leave the past in the past. There's dead bodies back there. Trust me I know.
TEMAZO 😍🤍
Bravo!!
