The reason I’m here is because I paused her interview with Megyn Kelly so I can see her first performance. Right before I came on here she explained that when she was asked to go sit she ran out to her car she was so nervous plus she didn’t have anything prepared and she never likes being unprepared.

@@Atom-cl6bi I've done a couple of open mics for singing. Each time I saw where I could improve and got some nice feedback and even though I knew I wasn't great (yet😉) I had a drive to go back and do it again, better. I hope you do try it one day when you're ready.😊
2min feels like an hour when you haven't done it. When your first joke doesn't work and no one laughs, every second feels like an hour. Don't worry about the time. Even the best struggle to write a new tight 5min. When we see their 1hr special, they literally practiced, tried, tested, often failed, every weekend or more for a year, in 5-15min increments/segments/sets in small nightclubs in a room with less than 100 people. Your first time will probably be in front of 12people. BEST OF LUCK AND PLEASE TRY IT. Watch online a compilation of comedians discussing their first times/open mics. They're horrible. To this day, even the very best have stories of themselves having awful nights "bombing"/ not getting laughs. BUT the first time you get a room of any size to laugh, you will be hooked!
