It´s worth to mention also regarding pricing and attitude...the materials used but most importantly where the pieces are made is actually a great part of the steep prices. The pieces are all designed in house, everything is done either in Portugal or Japan with highly skilled manufacturing in low batches (no mass factories in some god forsaken place in Asia, in who knows what conditions). One can even argue that because of the latter, their carbon footprint, on purpose or not, makes them pretty sustainable, the only question is the lifespan of the garments and their warranty could be better or offer a buy back or repair program...regarding the punk ethos, DIY they have it in loads and do whatever they want and in this day and age who is more Punk...someone who shells 200 bucks for some shorts and it´s the only pair that uses everytime until its destruction or someone that shell 200 euros for 5 pairs of shorts of mainstream brands of different colors, with questionable manufacturing, for each day of the week, and let me get just one more because its sale and its cheap? The problem of Satisfy is not the price or the brand, it´s everyone used to having it cheap on a stale industry...And that´s why brands like them, Soar, Norda and the likes will thrive...best example On Running explosion on the last couple of years, came up with one or two models of shoes completely leftfield and now they are a monster...And if you are wondering FYI I´m not a Satisfy fanboy, don´t own their pieces...I´m just interested in business models in retail outdoor and I´m a punk =)
Crazy how 'punk' has blended into the world of high fashion, which has now been brought into sport through brands like satisfy. For me the price tag removes me from the demographic of people who would buy this, but similar to PNS, I can appreciate the art and the style they're going for! Rate the video man 🙌🏼
Totally agree! It's mad how punk has evolved and crossed over into high fashion and sport - Satisfy definitely nails that vibe. And yeah, the price tags are steep, but like PNS, it's all about the art and vision. Appreciate you checking out the video, man!
