I got this littlextra reactiavatte growth serum to help with thinning hair, and I've noticed progress. It needed time, but now my hair looks fuller, and I have new growth in formerly thin areas.

Weekly. Yes masks and pre shampoo treatments such as rosemary oil (mixed with a carrier oil) are helpful as they improve dryness. Dryness can cause split ends and overall thinning if not resolved.
My understanding is that it’s basically just happening because your hair stays in the growth phase during pregnancy then once your hormones change postpartum you have a lot of hair shedding because a lot of hair goes into the shedding phase at the same time whereas it normally would have been happening gradually. So it should be temporary once your hair gets back into its normal growing/shedding phases but it can take a while to regrow the hair that all sheds at once.

Hi Dr Jenny! May i ask you about tretinoin? i went from using over the counter retinol cream to prescription 0.1% Tretinoin. And my skin has been peeling and it sting when i put anything else like moisturizer or even gentle cleanser. I'm aware i might have disrupt my skin barrier but should i suck it up and stick with this strength of Tretinoin for another 3 weeks until my skin get used to it? Or should i back off because my skin is a little raw?
So if minoxidil and pregnancy are doing the same thing (prolonging the growing phase) if you are on minoxidil before getting pregnant, stop during and continue after birth - should the hair continue to stay longer in the growing phase and no shedding?

Mine has been shedding for 3 years after postpartum 😢 my hair is so thin ! I still breastfeed my toddler

Noticed baby hairs like crazy, but also still shedding like crazy at 11 months pp
Sadly the OGX shampoo and conditioner hasn't helped me at the time. Perhaps it's too fragranced. Thank you Dr!
It only temporarily adds volume and improve appearance of fullness unfortunately do not truly increase hair growth!
