    This midrange gains would be very noticeable on this bike. Everyone looks at peak gains but I don't spend my time at the rev limiter in daily riding and those low/mid gains would make this much more useable.

      You're right. Soon as you hit the gas in any gear you can tell immediately it's on point! Especially low & mid range. This bike shines down low anyway with the parallel twin, low & mid TQ is impressive. I can tell it has more up top too, its open, quicker, more air(from mods) & fuel, & more timing but down low is most noticeable. Runs better thru the whole band now. I think Kawasaki have always made incredible engines, they probably don’t make the most beautiful sounds ( always thought Kawa engines sounds like a farms tractors with the ke-kling- klong-klang) especially at idled , but damn that they’re strong, I remember with a ZX-7 1993 I’ve beat the hell out of this thing, pulling wheely’s and never letting this poor engine breath, even swap it in a 91 model to do a endurance race of 2 hours, and re-swapping it into his home 93, to continued beating it, it finally Rest In Peace after pulling roll-on race all night one day, but not before letting me reach home ( never thought I would make it) but I’ve roll in the service lane the throttle pins down going about 40 km/h and the sound that was coming out of this was .... kind of a infinite drums solo, but it did bring me back home, and as soon as I flip the off switch, it never even tried to get back alive again. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

    Definitely not a custom map. And that is why preset maps are rubbish. The only way is to send your bike in, get a custom map on the pc5 and flash the ecu. I completely removed the secondary butterflies on my er6, did all the usual things like pair valves, inlet tubes, dna airfilter, removed 1 layer of gasket to increase compression, and got a custom map with the straight Arrow headers and Leo Vince GP style (the one with the curved mid pipe) and got 76rwhp. This increase mostly comes from the header/muffler combo and its the next best thing besides the Arata which is discontinued and the elusive full Arrow system used in the TT.

    • @exothermal.sprocket
      @exothermal.sprocket 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Heat and dryness are both enemies of internal combustion engines. Lean produces both conditions. While the EPA might be happy, engines are not. Stock un-flashed bikes always run the temp gauges high, especially poking in traffic or low speed running around. It's lean conditions that does that.

      @@kuron252 I know the feelings because the same thing happend to me but truthfully, I have no regrets. The 636 is a animal. Its a night and day difference. I took the advice of others and didnt waste money by adding things to the 650
