Regarding the woman whose deceased husband left gifts, they’re saying it was HIS house, but neither she or BIL seemed to acknowledge that since hubby is deceased, it’s now HER house, as they were married. My house, my property, my rules. Don’t touch. Kick BIL out.

Even allowing them to live there was an act of extreme kindness, it's infuriating to see people would dare to just roam around in your VERY PERSONAL stuff. The fact there is no possibility to replace the incredible thoughtfulness of the deceased husband's gifts is absolutely heartbreaking. That second story is.. whew. Brother & husband were wrong. I really wanna ask them if they'd get mad if a family with a baby used their trash to throw away a diaper. Not that it's the same but I feel like it'd point out some hypocrisy.
What was the alternative besides the trash? "Throw it outside" so littering? Keeping it in a pocket isn't exactly more sanitary than throwing it away. Waiting until she got home and risk bleeding everywhere?
I also feel like if the husband knew she didn't get along with the brother, then he shouldn't put her in a situation like that- he should've known an argument would strike eventually. That was the first red flag I saw in the story. And the husband is immature & ignorant at best. For both of them to be grossed out by that as full grown adults is laughable

0:05: I can't blame him for leaving. She values her friends more than him. I would consider kicking her to the curb.
2:34: This sounds like it's a big to-do over nothing. She properly disposed of the pad; he overracted. It's not like she flushed it down the toilet (in which case his anger would be justified).
6:00: Her boyfriend couldn't take a few minutes out of his day job hunting to satisfy the cravings of his pregnant girlfriend? He must not care about her as much as he says he does.
8:43: What an absoulutely classless act her BIL did. I get that he's grieving the loss of his brother as well, but those gifts were intended for her, not anyone else. Plus, wouldn't possession of the house transfer to her after Adam's passing (thus making it HER house)?

Hello people that exist. (I think.)
First story: Why would you bring your boyfriend if you’re just going to ignore him? Like, if you are going to do that just tell him you want to go with only your friends.
Second story: OMG. I can’t. Women have periods? We have to throw our used pads in trash cans? Omg. The world is going to end. Like, seriously? We can’t control wether we have to change a pad or not. But like, what was she supposed to do? Hold on to it? Not change it? Like? And wtf is “It was a sign of disrespect.” Like, it’s a pad. Chill. How is it disrespectful to throw away a pad? But this makes me laugh because like “You could’ve thrown it outside but not in his bathroom.” Like his bathroom isn’t some sacred place. It’s a bathroom. That kind of stuff happens in a bathroom. But like, oh no! One used pad, it’s going to kill you! Like.....
Third story: Okay, don’t tell someone you are going to do something and not do it. You can’t be mad at her for expecting a burger when you told her you’d get her one. And I get he’s looking for a job, but I think he can spare 20 minutes to go get his girlfriend a burger. Like, come on.
Fourth story: Good for her for kicking him out. But the fact that he started using all his brothers things when there not even his things. Like, come on. And then he’s like. “You should’ve moved your stuff so my kids wouldn’t destroy them.” Okay, first of all how is it her fault that YOUR kids decided to wreck the gifts. And second, you should teach your kid to, I don’t know, NOT DESTROY STUFF WHEN THEY SEE IT. Like, she shouldn’t have to move her own things in HER own room because your kids like destroying things. And then he’s like, “Yeah, but this is my brothers house.” Exactly, it’s your brothers house. Not yours. I don’t think your brother would like the fact that your kids destroyed all the gifts he bought for her. But NOOOOO.

    About story 2:
If it had been a piece of tissue with blood on it from some kind of nosebleed in his bin, he wouldn't have been so grossed out. But just because it was period blood - something we CANNOT CONTROL IN THE SLIGHTEST, even less than other things bleeding - he was disturbed. That's such vile behaviour from him. He couldn't have at least brought it up to her one on one? And her own husband says it's wrong, when all other alternatives are unsanitary? The lengths to which some people's stupidity reaches is baffling to me. Some people really have no consideration for others' needs.

    1) NTA - I can vaguely imagine what went through her head and what would have offended her but you can't be called an AH just because she is like that.
If you want to try and salvage the relationship tell her exactly how her behaviour made you feel - she'll get defensive so just tell her you don't want to fight, just tell her for the future. If she wants a ride you can help but if she wants to stay with her friends it's totally fine but you can stay at home. If she is feeling any guilt at all it will work out even if she gets really defensive (she will keep telling everyone she is right but act the way you ask). otherwise better to know now than later.
    2) he overreacted for the pad - I mean that was a trash can - but it's also his home and she could have just said "I think he is overreacting I didn't know he would get that offended by something like that but I won't do it again" I mean they hate each other, how many times is that situation going to happen?
    3) won't be able to tell untill I'm pregnant but if the hormones are anything like when I have my period the boyfriend is lucky he isn't dead over that burger.
Also the shower was a low blow
    4) Just kill the whole family - if they miss your husband so much they'll be happy to see him sooner.

First story: Now he knows about her and her friends. What he does is up to him. Second story: She could have wrapped it up and taken it to dispose of elsewhere. But the brother was a bigger jerk for mentioning it. What a bunch of idiots. Third story: Boyfriend is a lazy @$$. Just wait until the baby is born and she'll see what she got herself into. Fourth story: This is a perfect example of why you should not let family talk you into things that you know were bad; also, a perfect example of why you prepare a will. If you die without a will your survivors are in for a world of trouble.

Just a note on the pad and bin: If I go to someone's house and I know there aren't menstruating people in the home, then I collect my used pads in a nappy bag in my rucksack (I carry those bags everywhere) and throw them away when I get home. Other people shouldn't have to deal with your bodily fluids and the BIL is going to have to take the bin out (I have OCD and the thought of someone putting blood somewhere in my home that I can't see terrifies me). It would be the same if she was injured and put bloody tissues in the bin, as it should be her or her husband who takes the bin out.

I guess that’s true but I think you should tell the person then if you have a problem. That way it doesn’t get blown out of proportion like it did in the story. Be honest. The guy did over react here. How could the woman know if he had ocd (unlike he did in the story anyway but just saying what if). Maybe this is bad, but my first thought if I have to change my pad in public or at someone’s house is to not wrap it up and keep it in my hand- however ofc if I knew the person would have an issue I would dispose of it as needed

    • @winniethepooht5776
      @winniethepooht5776 ปีที่แล้ว +13

So the brother should've communicated like a mature adult. How was she supposed to know he's uncomfortable or possibly OCD? She didn't leave the pad visible and she didn't flush it, she disposed of it properly. She couldn't have kept the pad on or it would leak. This isn't some strangers house, this is her brother-in-law's house, she should feel comfortable enough to take care of her business. What's gonna happen if the brother gets into a relationship and his wife or girlfriend has to dispose of her personal products? He needs to grow up, menstruation is natural and shouldn't be viewed as a disgusting thing. She didn't leave it on the floor, it was in the trash. And if he's so grossed out that he truly can't handle it, he doesn't have to be angry about it. He could pull his brother aside and tell him, "Hey, I know this is an uncomfortable topic, but your wife left a sanitary pad in my trash. I understand she has to get rid of it, but I would appreciate it if in the future, she would remove it from the bathroom herself in a bag." Simple. No attitude, just a grown man making a request for his house. At my best friends house, if I have to get rid of a pad I don't put it in my bag, we just put it in a trash bag and take it outside. He could've suggested they do that, not acting like a teenage boy that just learned females have three holes and not two.

You don't leave an unflushed toilet even though it isn't that hard for the next user to flush it, it is definitely rude. If he complained about a discretely rolled pad in the trash can, he's the butt hole.

For the first story: I get where they’re both coming from. The boyfriend felt shut out because girlfriend was spending time with her friends.
    Here’s the thing, though.
OP claimed he was okay with her friends, but then admitted he was trying to get her alone. Then, when he couldn’t naturally insert himself into their group, instead of mentioning he was feeling a bit left out, he DITCHED HER AND WENT TO A GAME BECAUSE SHE DIDN’T TEXT BACK WITHIN FIVE MINUTES. Yeah, no shit it took her an hour to figure out he was gone, she probably went to try and find him because she assumed her BOYFRIEND who she CAME THERE WITH would do more than send a single text before ditching her!
The boyfriend then, rather than consider the fact that he chose to go with her that night and decided to ditch her for a ball game or some shit at home because he didn’t mention he was feeling left out, told her to call a fucking Uber.
He was absolutely an asshole. He had no right to be pissed about spending gas money because they “didn’t get to spend time together” when he decided to go home on his own. God forbid he try and communicate his frustrations while he was with them all. Which he mentioned he WAS. God forbid he try and make friends with her friends. And GOD FORBID he reflect on what he could have done differently.

Nah… sorry as a woman I’m against the other woman. If you treat other people like crap expect to get it back. If someone feels left out after attempting to be included then obviously they are going to leave thinking they aren’t welcomed. It’s not the fact that she was spending time with friends. He literally said he was trying to talk to her but he couldn’t get one moment of alone time. Then if she wanted to hang out with friends why tf would she bring him along? If she only brought him along for the ride that’s f’d up. She’s using him and I very much doubt by her entitled attitude that she would do the same for him. And yeah, maybe she didn’t see the text because SHE WAS HAVING TOO MUCH FUN WITH HER FRIENDS. Hence, she didn’t notice. Don’t use people and invite them somewhere if you’re not going to include them. From someone whose been in a similar situation, it’s not a fun feeling. At least she could have been honest with him and say she just needed a ride if that’s the case but she straight up USED him. And he made an effort, it’s not like he isolated himself. Nope. You don’t do that. Idc if you’re a woman or male.

@@squidmom3162 I didn’t say that it had to do with gender I just wanted you emphasize the behavior was wrong anyway. Also… he did. He maybe didn’t say it directly but she’s gotta be blind to not notice. He literally tried to join her conversations multiple times (not isolating her, just trying to get involved which you would expect him to do if she invited him) and asked her if she wanted to do anything (confirming if she was just going to be with her girlfriends all night and she didn’t bother communicating with him). She said no word to him so you can’t really blame him for assuming she just didn’t want to spend time with him. Again, feeling unwanted is not a fun feeling. Neither is feeling like a creep that he said he felt like. She could have at least talked to him seeing his efforts. Not just give him the cold shoulder. Like, she couldn’t possibly think that he would continue to sit and mope around by himself since he was being shamed out of conversations. Now, do I think maybe he should have gone to pick her up at least and talk it through there? Maybe. But I can’t blame him for being petty. He probably didn’t expect her to spend all of her time with him but he did expect for some guys to be there or for her to at least talk to him. It’s just the principal. You wouldn’t invite your boyfriend if you just wanted to spend the day with your girlfriends, right?
