Ehhhhhhh a 25 year old dating a 19 year old is just past the point of okay age gap. People who could be college graduates for multiple years 9/10 times shouldn't date people that are just starting/in their second year of college
19 and 25 is still a bit wild. I did date someone with a gap that big in our age, but I was 22 and he was 28. You learn so much between 18-20 at the very least that dating someone drastically older than you tends to lead to some issues. Gaps don't matter as much the older you get but when you're young it's very much a Yikes from me brother
I almost wish she had not found out and just decided- test, (abortion if her choice, as she said not wanting to be tied), divorce papers and not look back. Instead, her trash husband got to break her heart even more.
@@Slapchop721 She was super excited abt the baby until she found out everything her husband did, and now just wants to terminate the pregnancy. Her husband is an absolute 🗑️, as well as her “friend”
Th McDonald's hot coffee lawsuit: the woman was also 81 years old, got 3rd degree burns on her lap, 8 day hospital stay, skin grafts, and 2 years of rehab. All she was asking for was medical care costs, and McDonald's refused. So she sued. It hurts my heart how most people who know the story, think that she was just over reacting because "oh course coffee is hot!". Bro. She was DYING OF HEATSTROKE. Why do we treat women’s chests like there’s dicks attached to them?!
Story 1 - shaming a woman for taking clothes off for a medical emergency is wiiiild. Leave that dude.. you already know how things would go if you ever had a heart attack in public, because they DO CUT YOUR SHIRT OPEN and he would literally shame you for “putting on a show” while the emts were putting electrodes on your chest to shock your heart. These are the kinds of things that you get the opportunity to make a decision about early on when you see the way someone reacts to something smaller, before getting married and they react horrifyingly to something bigger. (Giving birth? Better not put on a show for that OBGYN!)
1st story, my sister a vendor in a uni canteen & her shirt & hijab got on fire one time & she removed them because that’s her reflect & her boyfriend was there, he immediately removed his shirt & grab the nearest table cloth to cover her
See that's the right response....go over and give her back her dignity....if my shirt was all wet from the coffee after it stopped burning my husband would have absolutely given me his shirt to cover up with. And he also would have made sure to bundle me in the car and then go back for my damn cheesecake lol
@MovableNu oh she's fine from that incident, the burn wasn't that bad. She however burned her right hand not a month after that incident because she a dumbass who can't cook to save her live 🤣 she was trying to fry nuggets... but she's fine
OP in the Wedding cake story made a few comments, and one of them was absolutely damning. She said there were 8 kids in total, ranging from 3-9. So now we know 2 things: 1. Her child wasn't the youngest. 2. Her child was the only one out of eight to misbehave like that. And, in case you were wondering: she's still not taking responsibility for not supervising her kid. No wonder it got cross posted to r/AmITheDevil
Given her post's tone, I'm betting she was drunk, dancing with her husband while completely ignoring her kid and assuming someone else would have eyes on him. And then when kid stuck his hands in the cake, she said something like "it's okay, he's family." That's why the bride got mad and said he sure as hell isn't family.
I feel like some people really don’t understand just how much damage hot coffee can cause. I was about 3yo when my mom was visiting a “friend”, who she had to constantly remind to put her cup back out of my reach. Well, all it took was one look away and I grabbed the cup, spilling hot coffee all down my face, chest, belly and legs. I was rushed to the hospital, kept for 2 weeks in the burn unit, receiving treatment for 2nd & 3rd degree burns all over my front. Thankfully I was young enough to not end up with major scarring.
Whew. I was about to be so fired up when you mentioned the McDonald's coffee story and then you finished😅 the gaslighting that McDonald's has done to that poor woman is beyond believable
I remember the mcdonalds hot coffee story. I saw the photos and this woman was severely injured, she required skin grafts and let's not forget it was in her lap so her entire crotch/genital area was also burned. She spent a very long time in hospital. As a nurse I was horrified, I've seen less severe burns from actual open flame
They also had to ask for so much to get a chance at paying her medical bills when they eventually try to negotiate for less. It’s important to take into consideration who benefits from exaggerated lawsuit stories. In this case it’s McDonald’s because they get to call this poor woman over dramatic.
59:25 is he sleeping with the friend that she went to for advice? And that’s why she is saying that the husband has a valid reason because they’re both projecting.
Story 2 husband must be my ex husband 😂😂😂 then they wonder why the mom gets 100% custody in the divorce. When you choose not to be a parent 100% of the time, you lose out on being a parent when the divorce happens.
The fact that he wasn't at all worried about whether or not she'd been burned and only about his own comfort speaks volumes. She needs to break up with him. Story 2: Husband isnt a decent father or partner. He's hardly ever home. But the worst thing is his coercing her into s*x. He needs to "take it out on" her, sexually, if he's had a hard day at work? He talked her into s*x 5 weeks postpartum? This is really, REALLY concerning. I hope she stays away.
One thing for the 1st story. Would the boyfriend have judged OP if they were AMAB and it was two friends going for dinner?. It's a double standard. OP was startled and in pain, and it was fully justified for her to react like that since it could've been a medical emergency and she reacted appropriately.
McDonald's story is that the store had the coffee at 180-190F because they didn't want complaints from folks who got their coffee to go and didn't want less than hot coffee when they got where they were going. The case is called - Liebeck v. McDonald's Restaurants - she spent 8 days in the hospital and had to get skin grafts. She only wanted 20K to settle her medical bills and McD's refused. McD's ended up paying her $160K for medical bills and $2.7M for pain and suffering.
I'm a medic and I've had a patient spill hot coffee onto their lap and it was a small second degree burn. She was older, so in someone my age it wouldn't do much, but when you're older your skin is more sensitive. That's what I assumed this case was, until I saw the photos from the lawsuit last year. 3rd degree burns from coffee???? They were so extensive too. That woman has permanent damage from those burns. Absolutely negligent amounts of heat in that coffee. You're right, MD turned up their temps on the coffee to way hotter than normal and this was the end result. Apparently initially she wasn't even asking for money at all, she just wanted them to turn the heat down so that this didn't happen to anyone else. When they refused she took them to court and you have to add a dollar amount to a lawsuit in the US. She got a bunch of money out of it and McDonalds still had to turn down the temperature.
McDonald’s paid people to slander her as well and effectively turned the story from “700 people suffer burns from McDonald’s coffee and the one woman who could have died” to “Brewing a hot cup of coffee is not corporate negligence” (New York Times article, 1995). And now that I’m reading this article I’m getting so angry. Here’s an example of where it goes; “I can hardly wait for the first "hypothermia from drinking ice-cold soda" lawsuit! ROBERT F. X. KLEIN Arlington No one doubts Mrs. Liebeck's pain. But has anyone addressed the actions of the lady in causing the accident?”
For story 3, maybe i dont know enough about reddit, but it doesnt seem like a super public space as compared to something like facebook to me. Yes, anyone can see it, but it isn't the same as putting it somewhere for all of his friends and family to see and know their business. I think this is totally valid for her to post it there, especially given the gaslighting mentioned in the update.
I've been listening to you guys since April and I am truely blessed to find your podcast randomly on Google Podcast 😂 love the content and your takes on various subjects . Congratulations Josh on the wedding ,I myself am getting married next Friday .
The one with the wedding. Imo, OP should apologize first. She said it herself, she was drinking and dancing, and not minding what her kid was doing. It's ok to have fun at a party, but if you decide to go with your kid, it's your and your husband's responsibility to take care of him and watch his every move. I feel OP tried to guilt her friend into calming down by bringing the "his your nephew" thing, of course imo. Also, I don't wanna get too dark here, but the party is full of adults you don't even know, your eyes should be on your kid the whole time
The wedding cake mom pissed me off. She said the space was "mostly" closed in and she knew "basically" everyone there. My son and I LIVE with my grandparents. They love him very much. That doesn't mean that I EVER assume that somebody else just telepathically knows that they are now the ones watching him. If you want a break, find someone to watch him. Either home or at the wedding. You CANNOT just assume that people are watching your kid. They are assuming that YOU, the parent, are doing that, and very rightfully so.
The age gap between that 29 year old woman & her 25 year old husband that she’s been with for 10 years is insane. 15 and 19???? Why was she dating a child???
Omg. I listen on Spotify and only looked for this episode just to raise this comment. Please address it next episode so those who don’t use TH-cam don’t think you ignore it when it is men who are being groomed.
I heard all of these stories on another podcast yesterday 😂. I think we are all like minded and rock the same algorithm ❤ It’s is great though to get different takes.
The first story is crazy. Imagine sitting across from your shirtless and startled GF for ten to fifteen full seconds (go ahead and count those out) and being offended she tried to protect herself from whatever tf just happened rather than helping her protect her dignity in any way. I think people put too much stock in what strangers think (I do of course as well) but what a power move to flash the store and casually go back to eating in your coffee drenched clothes. Her BF is giving coward energy
Idk about the cake thing. She identified as an aunt in that kids life yeah she isnt actuallu but she did and the 4 year old knew her as such. To yell he isnt her nephew and that she isnt friends with her and need them out and kicked them out pushed it way beyond the scope. I do agree she should of apologized IMMEDIATLY instead of trying to yell over her friends yelling trying to deflate it. I get why she did cause she felt attacked and felt her child was attacked so instinct went to defense yeah it shouldnt of been but I know why she did. I think they were both assholes in this situation but if this happened at my wedding (it didnt despite having toddlers and kids at mine thankfully ill admit) while i may of been niffed would not ever have taken that that far and that hard. Wedding cakes are massive just cut out a square around it give that to the kid maybe split it with the niece if it was a bigger piece then just a small hand. Cut it up move on. She had the right to be upset but it should of been a private conversation later on without the kid present, parent should of apologized and repremanded the kid maybe take the activites away from him she brought. HOWEVER dont get me wrong she still should of apologized after they were kicked out but definetly would of done it with an unoffical channel and cut contact with that friend after.
I don’t think the bride wants to be friends with OP. Keep in mind we are getting OPs version and the bride never reached out to op the sister did. Who said the bribe wanted to come back from that she could have meant what she said.
@ms.divine4249 I know to apologize doesnt mean to try and make up. But I think it would be good for both of their egos to admit both sides could of been handled better and move on. Learn to be better friends to other people in their lives.
11:40 Ugh that commenter trying to shame her into thinking he should break up with her because of her being a wanton hussy. She needs to break up with him, he's insecure and uncaring. Besides that he isn't going tonsee it as irreconcilable differences, he's going to see it as he needs to fix her behavior and it's going to lead to abuse.
when it comes to youtube premiere or whatever it's called....you can always start the video and bring it back to the beginning..it works...it doesn't matter when it started
OP isn't the asshole for not saying sorry in story 4. OP *was* the asshole for not apologizing UP UNTIL her friend decided to cut ties with OP, make a scene and kick them out. What the bride said in anger at the wedding was overboard and basically destroyed the friendship to the point where there isn't really any point in apologizing anymore. Even if OP did apologize afterward, there'd be no getting past what was said towards her and her son. Hell, the bride probably wouldn't even accept it. If I were OP I wouldn't even want to be friends with bridezilla anymore. Yelling at a kid and breaking off a friendship with your "best friend" in public over a missing chunk of cake (which probably wouldn't even be visible from the front if they just turn the cake around) is still bridezilla behavior. If I were to apologize at that point it'd probably go something like "sorry I was negligent and let your cake get got. And also I don't care if you forgive me since I now see that your values suck and I don't wanna be friends with a person like you anymore, good luck with your life, bye." What a worthwhile apology.
I honestly wonder how much the bride was pushed into having kids at the wedding. The OP says she gave her opinion of having their "right" to be there, which, no, no one has the right to be at a wedding except who the wedding couple want there. I also agree she shouldn't have yelled what she said because it wasn't this kids fault. It was the parents fault. If I was the bride, I would have yelled for someone to grab the kid, but that's it, and then quietly broke ties with this friend after the wedding. I don't need friends around who just assume that other people will watch their children while they get drunk and party. If you want to let loose and want a break for a few hours, I get that, every parent does, but then don't bring your children and let them run wild assuming someone else will watch them.
The messy breakup story is all too familiar for me. I, too, have thought for a while now that I may have dementia bc of the constant gaslighting. I absolutely LOVE the idea of saving for friends/family who find themselves in a pickle. I’ve been stuck for far too long now and WISH I had someone to help me out. My only suggestion, don’t make it a loan. Paying you back is just adding more stress to their already heaping plate. If you offer HELP, make sure you don’t expect anything in return, except their love & gratitude.🤷🏽♀️💔
Helping someone get out of something like that should never be a loan. Just here's some cash, I've got me, my husband, our backs, and this car, let's load your shit up and get gone before you ex gets back. If you don't have friends like that right now, there are resources out there to help you in nearly everywhere in Canada and the US. You do have to seek them out a bit, but a probono lawyer apt might be a good place to start. I hope you are safe
@@MyLifeMyWay ty 🫶🏽 I swear it’s like I’m on a never-ending rollercoaster of emotions. I want to be on my own. At the same time, it’s scary to think that I couldn’t provide for myself long term and would end up homeless.🤦🏽♀️ I really need to figure something out.
Messy breakup justifiable asshole but yes an asshole. If she posted there after talking about how peoppe are treating her the ex and family venting sure him finding out about the seperation and the announcment being that public is kinda crazy. However he was also doing crap online and rating women and commenting on her body online so its not like she is a horrible evil person for doing this. Just petty and maybe a bit to aggresive in action but she got what she needed. The angle of maybe this is a safery get it out there kinda angle if thats the case reddit is a dumb place to do that if she was doing it for that reason id imagine it would of been on facebook tiktok or something like that the whole family uses so everyone is aware as im sure not many of them use reddit.

You can’t have a paternity test when you’re only a few weeks pregnant.
Apparently, you can get a test at around 7-9 weeks (I haven't heard the story yet)
Yes, you can but it's extremely risky. It involves puncturing the amniotic sack to get a sample inside and risking it bursting causing a miscarriage.

I’ve been waiting for the episode all day, but now it’s been live for 50 minutes already😢
when it comes to youtube premiere or whatever it's called....you can always start the video and bring it back to the beginning..it works...it doesn't matter when it started
why is that ladies cabinet leaning?? am i seeing things?? SOS
🎉🎉🎉🎉
