- Crack-Up is the third album by Fleet Foxes.
Released on June 16, 2017 as the follow-up to their 2011 album Helplessness Blues, Crack-Up is the band’s first release on Nonesuch Records. It is also their first release in six years, following a three-year hiatus from 2013 to 2016.

Shore is next, it‘s good :)
This record is so curious and interestin it had me listening to it everyday from 2017 to 2018. No other record has had me listen to it for a year, and I wasn't so impressed in the beginning. Crack-up is an acquired taste and it's so rich when you get there.

Glad you enjoyed, and also glad you went into it expecting something a bit different after their hiatus. It's definitely quite different and doesn't "hit" like the previous albums, but there's something about it that just keeps me coming back for more. And somehow each time while I'm listening to it I like it more, yet immediately afterwards the feeling fades... almost like a strange dream I can't quite grasp hold of after waking up?
I personally prefer the choral version of the song Crack Up (along with the following track, In The Morning live from Switzerland) which was released as as single. You might like to give them a listen at some point. :)
Tbh since you are liking Fleet Foxes so much, I'd recommend you check out their other singles and EPs once you're finished reviewing Shore. And the music videos are all great too! Most (or all?) of them were created by Robin's brother Sean.

Ah yes, I only wanted to bring the detail to your attention to update your description.
But I loved your reaction and also smiled when I saw you talk about On another ocean (January/June).
It was the only song you made a second point of view and I enjoyed seeing how much you enjoyed it. It is also my favorite song on this album and probably out of the many songs they have.
Also, I really want you to check out the next album shore. I tried looking through your Playlist and wasn't able to see it aha. There are some gems on there!
Worth noting that Father John Misty was only a member of Fleet Foxes for the recording of Helplessness Blues. He's not the percussionist on this album.
