I have been a fan of Fleet Foxes for over a decade now and I will forever be grateful to them for being such a big part of the soundtrack of my everyday life, their music has either made me happy, or accompanied my melancholy, but it's always been there like a trusted friend. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Same here and it started around 2016/2017 with the first fleet foxes record, where I've never heard in my life.Glad to hear there music intensivly for 2 years.
I took my 10-year-old daughter to see them in Boston (Somerville) in 2008. It was her first concert. She took me to this concert as a birthday present 14 years later. They were great then and they're even better now!
Saw Fleet Foxes with The National in Sydney on Friday night March 1. As excellent as The National were, Fleet Foxes were astonishing. Gorgeous, heartfelt music that filled my soul. Thank you.
Astonishing is a great word to describe them. So pleased this incredible live performance is being released on vinyl this coming record store day. It is a live music masterpiece. I saw them live for the first time in Melbourne on Tuesday night. What a night.
Fleet Foxes is as emotion-evoking a band working. After all these years, there are these moments that just floor me. I don't always know why. Today I was driving home from work, doing fine, and it was this: "in the morning/ In the ocean / washing my name from your throat." I just burst into tears. No idea why.
Tell me about it my friend. It his voice, it’s the collective voice and harmonies. It’s the words. So different. So deep.its poetry. I hear a long way past the past and tear up like you do with yours. They make beautiful music. And music should bring out emotions.
Ok we all know that Robin has an incredible voice. But Christian (bass player) was straight up giving me full body chills during the chorus of Phoenix. What a gorgeous angelic voice.
I have never commented on any TH-cam video In my entire life but I feel it's necessary to say that this is one of the greatest concerts of all time. I'm huge into jazz fusion these days, I've listened to everything 50s-now. Yet every single song is epic from this concert. I don't understand it all.
This entire concert is a master class in vocal harmony orchestration/layering and listening/blending. Kudos to the entire band. Love the additional horns/vocalists. Just a perfect performance of the modern day Foxes.
@@adriantomo5688 they have had like 6 drummers. josh tilllman (father john misty) was great and the last album tour was with the drummer from Walkmen. The current drummer is a friend of theres from Seattle who has played in other bands here
Robin ain’t no fool! His band is full of super talented multi instrumentalists and The Westerlies on the horns adds a nice touch without selling out and changing their live sound to the “big band” theatrics
I'm pretty sure my emotional health has been saved countless times by these guys and for that I'm forever grateful. Hopefully someday I'll be able to watch them live, surely would be one of the best days in my intire life.
Im from Paraguay, i travel to Santiago de Chile just to see their first concert in latino América, and was a dream come true, Fleet Foxes change my life, the voice of Robin and the melody of these guys was my company in times of happiness and joy, in times of sadness and suffering in 12 years and counting, just want to say THANK YOU!!! My everyday soundtrack ❤️
Robin really seems like a humble guy for someone so ridiculously talented. We are honored to be able to experience his gifts for songwriting and harmony. It's also great that he has managed to assemble a group of equally talented people to turn his visions into reality. (note: he is a huge fan of Brian Wilson - I hope he can hold it together)
Forget Spotify and Apple Music. My 2023 grind is to be 0.01% on this masterpiece set. Saw them in Seattle and it was incredible. So happy I can re-live whenever I want!!
my brother showed me fleet foxes when i was in middle school, he would play their self titled album every night on his turn table when we went to sleep. i’m getting to see them for the first time in june and i’ve never been so excited, these songs have meant more to me than any others in my life.
I discovered fleet foxes 15 years ago when I was just 16. I remember that the first time I heard them I immediately fell in love with robinpecknold ‘s voice, and the sound that immediately reminded me of forests and mountains. Fleet Foxes accompanied some of the most important moments of my life, from all of my teenage heartbreaks to the moment I walked down the aisle to the sound of Wading In Waist-High Water. It's still a dream of mine to see them live. Thank you for being the soundtrack of my life ❤
Man, so many bands go downhill with each new album, but Fleet Foxes is one of the few that hasn't. Exponentially so. Shore is truly a pure gold masterpiece. Evokes emotions in me of beautiful memories I've never made in places and times I've never been but can only imagine. Of course the selection of the rest of their songs is wonderful as well. Such a delightfully eclectic group. Will always remain a favorite. Great show. Shoutout to the sound guys too 👌🏼
My kids bought my wife and I Father's Day and Mother's Day gifts of 2 tickets to Winnipeg Folk Fest 2023 at Birds Hill Park in Manitoba. They knew I liked Fleet Foxes but I never dreamed they would come to Manitoba. Wow! Blown away by the music, vocals, visuals. I had moments of speechlessness and chills. (And not because of the rain storm that had blown through an hour beforehand) Thanks for being the musicians that you are and for touring into Manitoba. All the BEST!!
Fleet foxes was a relatively recent find. I found the tiny desk and then listened to shore with my headphones in and just openly wept. I’ve never heard such a beautiful album. Changed my life. 'Wading in waist high water' is one of the one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard. So absolutely beautiful. I love the version in A Very Lonely Solstice the best!

The first time I heard it it I immediately put it on repeat for the next several days! When Uwade( who I had no prior knowledge of) started singing I started crying. Words cant describe the feeling i get when i listen to this band. Robin has such a beautiful voice, and is such a talented writer. The rest of the band is also really talented.
I really do love that Sean and Robin support each other in their artistic endeavors. It's so nice to see Sean's visuals right behind his Robin as he plays guitar.
