Thank you for the video, and the time you put in it.
Obviously, some people (quite oddly, to me) fail to recognize (1) that this video was put together for pleasure, as a hobby, and it is NOT a decree dictating what YOU MUST think; (2) that it requires a lot of effort; (3) that it reflects one person's personal opinion; (4) that this is a great way to introduce these artists to viewers who aren't well-acquainted with ballet yet, but are interested in it.
Plus, I thought that ballet was supposed to be an elegant, graceful form of art, so what the hell is with all this fanaticism? By no means does a person have to share your views about matters of arts. Perhaps, next time, you might offer your OWN PERSONAL OPINION a little more humanely than this, guys.
And, again, CAN'T YOU FREAKIN' READ? The list consists of ballet dancers WHO STILL PERFORM.
PS: I just love Vyacheslav Lopatin, so it made me really happy to see that you share my opinion:)

When I was 6, my mom took her Girl Scout troop to see the Royal Danish ballet with Eric Bruhn. They did Copelia. I still remember it nearly 70 years later. I was hooked. Sal Hurok used to bring the Bolshoi or the Kirov to Detroit every winter and the Royal Ballet every summer. I always got tickets for Christmas and my birthday. We saw Baryshnikov and Makarova before they left the Kirov. We saw Nureyev and Fonteyn. Then Hurok died and they didn’t come anymore. When I was 18 I moved to New York and waited in line for standing room. Then I moved to Dublin for school and would go to London during ballet season.now I live in a small town where the ballet never comes. You Tube just isn’t the same but it beats nothing.

As am I, but when I watch him dance I'm reminded every single time of a clockwork toy. His technique is brilliant, his line lovely, his leaps and turns nigh-on flawless. But he has no passion!
I once saw a video of Bolle dancing Manon with Sylvie Guillem. Since then, I'm afraid the expression and the passion simply *must* be present or I'm not interested. Bolle is my current favourite and so far no one comes close to engaging me in the ballet as he does. :)

i think it is fair to say that Polunin is a dancer that is quite special in this time, his value is not about being on the stage and techniques but his pioneer behaviour and his revoluntionary thoughts. If I would say anything that disagrees with this video, I would really want Vlad Lantratov from Bolshoi on this list. He is such a talented young dancer and really has a lot of chiasma with various prima ballerinas in the Bolshoi!

When ol’ Ivan Vasiliev came bursting out onto stage you couldn’t help yourself from going “ oh myGod; poar!” He’s such an explosive dancer and of course that scene in particular shows off all these talents. I also loved Leonid Sarafaov’s incredible lightness and Roberto Bolle’s drop dead elegance and all round gorgeousness. He is so much taller than all the others so it’s quite a bit harder for him.
Alban Lendorf’s exquisite dreamlike litheness. 🎉 He was a light as a feather. The German dancer Friedmann Vogel nailed it, he made it all look easy and had a very winning smile. Some of the dancers forget to connect with the audience, but he didn’t.
How the hell Vladimir Shklyarov pulled off those incredible technical steps. I’ll never know . 18 years of training I guess !!
They are ALL fabulous dancers, the lot of them. Thanks for posting.
It’s interesting seeing all the different strengths the dancers have in the different choreographic settings. I too love Kim Kin and McCrae.

I love this compilation as I do the other list's of yours I've watched so far. I was wondering if Steven Heathcote has been on one of your list's I haven't seen yet. He was the longest serving Principal Artist of the Australian Ballet and in the fist A. B.'s Spartacus he becomes a sex symbol in Australia, mostly in Australia I think. He's currently the Ballet Master at A. B. There's not alot of footage, of his dancing, on TH-cam but there is some if you haven't already watched him and you'd like to. Oh, you might notice my last name is the same, and yes we're related, but I'm being partially biased, not fully!

Ooooo! YES! Steven Heathcote was my hero for years! He was truly amazing, especially in poor old Oz, where we only get sporadic access to the ballet companies of the world. And of course, ballet is so incredibly expensive and unattainable to most of us mere mortals. I hope I'll get to see a live ballet before I die, but somehow I doubt it...
