The contrast between the two made their talents shine even more..I never had the opportunity to see Tsiskaridze in live performance, so those clips are greatly appreciated. The speed and precision of those turns finishing with the chaînés... stunning. I have seen Vasiliev perform, and his strength and control never cease to amaze. For me, Nicolai Tsiskaridze's dancing leaves me completely spellbound in awe. To have such gorgeous physicality and magnificent legs combined with stunning technique, charisma, grace, fluidity and those soaring leaps and soft, precise landings, all in one performer is mindblowing.

Although I love my Russian trained male ballet dancers , I can name quite a few out side of Russia trained dancers who at their prime are or were on par technically - Kimmin Kim , Ethan Stifle , Carlos Acosta , Friederman Vogal , Osiel Gounod, Rolando Sarabia , Fernado Bujones RIP , Steven Mc Rae ect. . This kind of blank statement Russians are better, I refuse to buy into that kind of prejudice !!.

He was trained Vaganova in Korea and I am sure the Koreans added some of their own home grown technical teachings, thus a plus !!! , Also most of the dancers I mentioned ( Cubans especially ) have had Vaganova training out side of Marinsky halls . Lantratov is very impressive - such perfection and artistry in every move! The way he emphasises his poses (in Don Quixote) is sculpturally beautiful. A rare joy to watch!! Skvortsov's one of the most elegant dancers I've ever seen, he's the epitome of a classical prince! Such dignity, grace, finesse, style, and he has absolutely perfect proportions and is very handsome indeed. 💔 Skvortsov's breathtaking in Swan Lake, Pharaoh's Daughter, Raymonda, Giselle. 🤍🤍🤍 Lopatin's technique, fluidity, softness and artistry are admirable too! Сравнительно недавно смотрела записи концертных выступлений под живую музыку (оркестр был на сцене) гранд-артистов балета: все продумано, прочувствовано, воплощено с использованием годами наработанной техникой, врожденным и отточенным артистизмом! Волшебное действо!!! Очень хочется видеть таких мастеров на каналах культуры и не только - это наше мировая сокровищница искусства танца! А ведь по молодости в советские времена смотрела все телевизионные передачи с балетными постановками. Хорошо, что балет был в почете, и можно было многое увидеть! В театр выбираться получалось редко, но посчастливилось быть в Большом Театре, Кремлёвском дворце, Театре Станиславского и Немировича-Данченко, Театре Оперетты!

The Bolshoi trained them...so you could also say these dancers were lucky to be trained by the best academy in the world which helped them reach their full potential. They were lucky to have the teachers and coaches that developed their talents.

Чтобы стать "великим танцовщиком" нужно прекрасно танцевать и очень много чесать языком: Ах-ах, я не такой как все и т.д. и т.п. Конечно, не такой. И другие - тоже не такие, главное не столь светятся в болтологии.

Yes,💕🎈 the World would be different if we were all able to be nourished by this physical, emotional AND spiritual beauty.. Instead of military Parades there Is a Ballet Parade desfile from 2014, París Ópera. . Pure beauty, joy with a Spectacular ending. So Worth seeing 💕🎈
And now the moment of truth. Russian male ballet dancers did improved dramatically after Baryshnikov and Nyreyev started dancing abroad. They have always been like that. Both Nureyev and Baryshnikov wanted to dance in the Bolshoi theater, but were not hired because they were not as good as Vladimir Vasiliyev and others. They were phenomenal for the western world because there were rare ballet tours from Bolshoi and Kirov ballet in the USA and Europe then.

Vasiliyev and Lavrovsky were two of the great early Basilios, but who were the others early on? Recent great ones I would consider I. Vasiliev, Lantratov, Chudin & Lobukhin. (Although Lobukhin actually came from the Mariinsky, he is a quintessential Bolshoi star, imo.) What are your suggestions? Thanks for your time :)
Russian ballet dancers both males and females totally live up to their reputation. Never expect anything less than perfection from them and this really proves how great they are.

Мне ,далекой от балета теперь ясно,что на сцену надо выпускать красивых людей,красиво сложенных,с правильными пропорциями. Тогда мы будем впереди планеты всей! Браво!
Балет - это нечто потрясающее! Какая сила мышц! Тут полминуты физически поработаешь - и уже дыхания не хватает, а они с такой лёгкостью проделывают такие прыжки и фуэтэ (кажется так называется), у них сердце и лёгкие железные!

Al graduarme puse mis academias para dar clases. Ahora tengo 85 años. Puse el Vals a muchas quinceañeras. Toco las castañuelas a mis amigas y nos pasamos un grato atardecer, algunas con la guitarra.
Wow what an incredible lineup and great selection of variations! Lobukhin in Talisman and Rodkin in Pas d'Esclave (those plies!!!) really stood out for me! And what can one say about the finale of this video...just unbelievable.

The dancers are all remarkable in their own interpretation of the dance. The difficulty of execution....one remarkable toe fluttering leap after the next. I like some of the dancers very much. The vision of Ivan Vasiliev never leaves my minds eye. Ivan set the standard so high. When IV dances, he floats effortlessly. Executing each nuance of the dance with ease. For me......there is only one male principal dancer in the world Ivan Vasiliev💜😊

There is no such thing as a " … former Bolshoi Principal...”. Yes, some of the Bolshoi's Principal dancers are no longer dancing, but they were, are, and always will be there, in their “ home “. My favorites are Nikolay Tsiskaridze and Denis Rodkin. Beauty, grace and fire of the stage!
Thanks for this compilation! Bolshoi has the best male dancers in the world. I have seen Lobukhin, Rodkin, Skvortsov, and Vasiliev live, all amazing. But my absolute favourite is Lantratov, it is the best combination of virtuosity and acting skills, a really unique artist
Теперь я точно уверена , что РУССКИЙ БАЛЕТ не умер, после ухода Цискаридзе из большого балета (жаль , что он не танцует ).После просмотра удовольствие от увиденного зашкаливает за 200 %. Но сколько сил , пота и труда за этим стоит...... Одним словом - БОЖЕСТВЕННО!!!
Конечно не умер! Я живу в Германии. У нас с октября по апрель в Кинотеатрах, / не везде конечно/, раз в месяц показывают прямую трансляцию из Большого театра. Это великолепная возможность посмотреть и классические балеты и модерн. На большом экране это еще впечатляющё. Камеры снимают с разных ресурсов. До начала спектакля и в Антракте Пресс секретарь театра рассказывает о постановке , делает интервью с танцорами и педагогами. Можно увидеть закулисье Театра. Рассказ ведет на 3х языках- русском, английском и Французском. Спасибо за такую возможность приобщиться к НАСТОЯЩЕМУ ИСКУССТВУ! ПРИМЫ И ПРЕМЬЕРЫ ТЕАТРА ПРОСТО ВЕЛИКОЛЕПНЫ! Описка получилась. Ракурсов !
Иван Васильев и Николай Цискаридзе мне понравились больше всех. Из этих двоих танцоров даже не знаю, кто лучше, каждый уникален. Васильев более мощный, Цискаридзе более воздушный, что ли. Остальные танцоры тоже очень хороши. Люблю балет.

Personally, I associate with the Bolshoi Theatre Nikolay Tsiskaridze - Everest not only in the Russian but also in the World Ballet Stage! He is cosmically talented, beautiful, precise, powerful, bright, exquisite ... just priceless.Tsiskaridze is the fire, magic and beauty of the stage. And that can never be forgotten! From no one! My favorite principal ballet dancer in nowadays is Denis Rodkin.

Al graduarme puse mis academias para dar clases. Ahora tengo 85 años. Puse el Vals a muchas quinceañeras. Toco las castañuelas a mis amigas y nos pasamos un grato atardecer, algunas con la guitarra.

Wow what an incredible lineup and great selection of variations! Lobukhin in Talisman and Rodkin in Pas d'Esclave (those plies!!!) really stood out for me! And what can one say about the finale of this video...just unbelievable.

Мой любимчик Михаил Лобухин. Очень нравится в Спартаке его исполнение роли Спартака. Чудин элегантен и изыскан У всех танцовщиков запредельный уровень техники. Особенно это видно в сравнении с танцовщиками из других стран.
А мне как он нравится!!
В Иване Грозном Лобухин тоже невероятен!
А еще, ему хорошо удаются и юмористические роли, открывается бездна обаяния.

The dancers are all remarkable in their own interpretation
of the dance. The difficulty of execution....one remarkable toe fluttering leap after the next.
I like some of the dancers very much.
The vision of Ivan Vasiliev never leaves my minds eye. Ivan set the standard so high. When IV dances, he floats effortlessly. Executing each nuance of the dance with ease.
For me......there is only one male principal dancer in the world

Thikaridze altghough excellent dancer does not grab be, too big, too masculine, more athletics body type than elegant refined ones
There is no such thing as a " … former Bolshoi Principal...”. Yes, some of the Bolshoi's Principal dancers are no longer dancing, but they were, are, and always will be there, in their “ home “. My favorites are Nikolay Tsiskaridze and Denis Rodkin. Beauty, grace and fire of the stage!
Rodkin ? He looks very beautiful and he can dance, more and more ! But i prefere Chudin !

Thanks for this compilation! Bolshoi has the best male dancers in the world. I have seen Lobukhin, Rodkin, Skvortsov, and Vasiliev live, all amazing. But my absolute favourite is Lantratov, it is the best combination of virtuosity and acting skills, a really unique artist

Теперь я точно уверена , что РУССКИЙ БАЛЕТ не умер, после ухода Цискаридзе из большого балета (жаль , что он не танцует ).После просмотра удовольствие от увиденного зашкаливает за 200 %. Но сколько сил , пота и труда за этим стоит...... Одним словом - БОЖЕСТВЕННО!!!
Конечно не умер! Я живу в Германии. У нас с октября по апрель в Кинотеатрах, / не везде конечно/, раз в месяц показывают прямую трансляцию из Большого театра. Это великолепная возможность посмотреть и классические балеты и модерн. На большом экране это еще впечатляющё. Камеры снимают с разных ресурсов. До начала спектакля и в Антракте Пресс секретарь театра рассказывает о постановке , делает интервью с танцорами и педагогами. Можно увидеть закулисье Театра. Рассказ ведет на 3х языках- русском, английском и Французском. Спасибо за такую возможность приобщиться к НАСТОЯЩЕМУ ИСКУССТВУ! ПРИМЫ И ПРЕМЬЕРЫ ТЕАТРА ПРОСТО ВЕЛИКОЛЕПНЫ! Описка получилась. Ракурсов !

Иван Васильев и Николай Цискаридзе мне понравились больше всех. Из этих двоих танцоров даже не знаю, кто лучше, каждый уникален. Васильев более мощный, Цискаридзе более воздушный, что ли. Остальные танцоры тоже очень хороши. Люблю балет.

Восхищаюсь танцором Барышниковым, но не Нуриевым, конечно, смотря ролики в интернете. Этим роликом я наслаждалась. И я также в восторге от того, как танцевал Цискаридзе в Большом.
