I used to have a teacher who would make me sit RIGHT NEXT to her desk, because I talked too much. 😂😂😂😂 Let me know some of your experiences with teachers you'll never forget!! The good teachers do outweigh the bad ones! Let's get some wholesome stories. ☺️
My teacher gave our class candy every time someone wrote a paragraph. I was ahead of my grade in writing (I was high school level we were in seventh. I wrote a story about superheroes. I got into it so much that I wrote 29 5 sentence paragraphs... she never gave us candy again XD
I had a teacher who moved me because I talked too much. But then I talked to people there instead. She eventually just moved me back to my original seat
I hate teachers who decide they have problems with students for no reason whatsoever and use their power to act so unfairly against them... people like them shouldn't be ever allowed to set foot in a school.
Not at all saying the teachers were in the right, but in my experience people always polish up their side of the story to put themselves in a better light. Odds are the OPs were annoying or rude in some way that they casually forgot about. It keeps the internet from turning the tables of the story back on them that way.
For me, that would be my 4th grade teacher, 9th grade English teacher, my FCAT Reading teacher (yes, I was in Florida), and my lunatic 10th grade Geometry teacher (then again everyone in my school hated her cause she was hateful and bitter to everyone)
Some people just shouldn't be allowed to teach children. Back when we were kids my older bothers second grade teacher threw away all his completed assignments and failed him, just because she didn't like my mom for marrying my dad (cause apparently she wanted him in highschool). Keep in mind my dad didn't even know this woman. My brother had to repeat the year in a different school.
Considering international students are supposed to be a representation of their country and culture to other places, I'm sure the offices back in France and Belgium gave them quite the "lecture" when they came back home.
@Davtwan the French part of Belgium doesn’t care about that. They always feel superior to anybody else. Belgium has 3 official languages (Flemish, French and German) and they refuse to learn the language of the biggest population that speak Flemish. And believe me the Flemish part is fed up with the entitled French part of the country. So those Belgium students where not representing the entire population of this country.
Never mess with a country or it's people who are superior to. France and Belgium can't defeat China. If a war does happen, China will have Pakistan to help
That last story was a kick in the butt! By all rights the TA should have never been reinstated. She should have been blacklisted and banned from ever being in another classroom.
She was under close supervision when she was reinstated, so she isn't going to be able to get away with anything from there on out. And seeing that exact same student whom she had absolutely no reason to single out whenever they come by while this is going on is going to hurt her far more than just blacklisting her will do; even better, it's a fate worse than being blacklisted, especially if that coming down on her is looming over her head.
It's a first offence, and had OP's friend did the same, things might have been different. However, they did not say how long she was fired either... 3-5 years would put a black mark on one's record.
Teachers who bully students or falsify grades (which is effectively what she was doing by “losing” the assignments) should be blacklisted from any job working with children or any position of trust or authority, period. Even a “first offense” should be sufficient for an offense that severe.
Everyone should treat everyone else with dignity and respect, regardless of little differences like race, religion, LGBT+ Status, and the like. If more people did this, imagine how much conflict would be lessened.
Wow. Tatende sounds like he might have a gift with small electronics. I hope he's used this gift to make himself rich. All those that stood up to their teacher bullies, stay strong. You guys rock
I had a teacher one time try to teach a kid math, she ended up going to the hallway to bang her head against the lockers, in her defense this kid was REALLY driving everyone up the wall.
There's many reasons I like this channel. For starters, I don't have to listen to a robot reading these posts and I get some satisfaction from the justice served in the stories
Exactly, it should be the teachers responsibility to explain the questions. They shouldn't have to speak English since the teacher understands their native language. Otherwise they are also being kind of cheated. In any case they shouldn't have done what they did.
In mixed culture language classes the secondary langauge is usually english, and because she asked the students to speak english it can be assumed they knew english atleast intermediately versus op and the other half of class that knew no french at all. The other students would have actually gotten the benefit of improving both chinese and english skills. However In my experience my language class was all in the learning language. That way no one has an advantage.
It depends. I am bilingual and personally feel that OP's question was rather a matter of respect, complying with his wish: 1. We were all paying someone to learn a lesson, so the teacher should focus on that, not be a translator 2. A class environment strives when there is unity within the class. Breaking into groups of race, gender, or ethnic backgrounds only serve to segregate and fester rivalries. 3. I would know that if there is a word I do not know in the other language, I could simply have a one word pass, so there's no reason for me not to practice in the common tongue. 4. I have worked with people who speak in a foreign language. It sounds super insulting when a word even sounds close to someone's name.
I honestly love listen to these stories! They are the perfect thing to hear when working around the house or at work. It’s just an awesome motivator hearing, “Hello my wonderful, beautiful friends.” Keep up the awesome work
I would of had the teacher repeat the questions in English. It's easier for her to translate then a student having the extra step of translating it to a second language.
They knew English they just felt more confident in their own language. And if the teacher keeps repeating every question in English that takes away time from learning.
So I have really bad anxiety and anytime I’m in public it gets worst. One of the ways I cope with this is by listening to stories and your voice is super soothing and sounds friendly. Your stories help a lot keep up the work

Today's Topic: Don't Mess With Karma or You Will Get Bitten
Ah yes. Karma always makes sure that bullies or people that harass get what they have coming

The first story, the easiest solution was for the teacher to reframe the french question into english before answering.
