We have been Swannying Around a bit from country to country but now we have hit a destination so different, so exotic, we are taking six months to explore it. We have rented a Soviet built apartment and begun our exploration in Bishkek the Capital city of Kyrgyzstan. We are not showing the sites in this video as so much as our adventures here. I am toying with the idea of doing one of those walking tour videos as a side project if viewers are interested in seeing what the city is like to walk around. In this video we brave the deep freeze, have Christmas on New Years Eve, is a Bishkek thing, become nostalgic for the Soviet past and visit a Kyrgyz Disneyland.

-23°C is my record, in Rīga, Latvia. As for the meaning of Bishkek, "the stick that stirs the horse milk" sounds like a grand name for a glorious central Asian republic!

Now I know that I can survive in those temperatures places like Canada and Siberia and even Tasmania are on my can visit destinations. I am not totally sure about the Bishkek origins or whether that story was just meant to stir me up.

Wow, I thought I was the only one. We normally live on the Gold Coast but we will be making TH-cam Videos all over the world for the next couple of years at least.@@james-sh2lq
