We go Swannying Around the mountains of the Ala-Archa National Park. We climb through the snow as a family but later it gets serious when Lena goes back to conquer the giddy heights alone. Dangerous? You bet! high altitude in the freezing cold abandoned and alone. No way to call for help if needed. Can Lena survive this adventure or will she be remembered with a plaque attached a to boulder near the Ratsek Cabin like so many others?

We did Ratsek Hut in summer and we went through 10 stages of emotional turmoil while hiked up. We absolutely understand your every struggle while hiking up and proudly watching now online your video with my hubby, who happens to be a Kiwi as well 🥰 a neighbour to your Aussie hubby. My hubby is relieved that your hubby is a kiwi and not quite Australian because he thinks that he is the only Australian to have been on these kind of Kyrgyzstan adventures and as such he is hoping to have a statue of himself in a park somewhere due to being a famous Australian Explorer.
