We haven't been to India yet but I guess we will have to careful of the traffic when we get there.

My parents both served in that war, and my cousin was killed fighting in the Battle of Britain. I always pay respects to the fallen wherever we go. You would think that by now we would all have learned that killing for land is the most barbaric act ever created by man. Sadly, some people are still living in 1939 😢. I pray Uzbekistan never suffers such losses again.

lol, I had the same experience. I remember one woman stopped in her tracks and stared with her mouth open peering at me as I walked by. I felt like an escaped animal from the zoo. There are Russians living in the city but my wife tells me I definitely do not look Russian, lol.

We stayed in a Soviet apartment, we show it in one of the videos. Definitely Not the Sheraton experience for us but it was sure warm inside while it was -22 outside.

My hubby is relieved that your hubby is a kiwi and not quite Australian because he thinks that he is the only Australian to have been on these kind of Kyrgyzstan adventures and as such he is hoping to have a statue of himself in a park somewhere due to being a famous Australian Explorer. I remember you. We used to use squid as bait before the Italians taught us it was calamari, lol. I saw someone comment that the Baths are fixed, so my visit caught it at a historic moment.

Now I know that I can survive in those temperatures places like Canada and Siberia and even Tasmania are on my can visit destinations. I am not totally sure about the Bishkek origins or whether that story was just meant to stir me up.

I'm like you an Aussie with Kyrgyz wife who I met when I worked there in 2007. We live both in Brisbane and Bishy. Love the place.
