      Doing this is extremely difficult due to tooling cost for production ($200K+). He'd need to be approached by an existing case manufacturer probably... Would be cool though. There is precedent: the O11 and Der8auer.

    •  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would love that idea. I am looking for a mini ITX build with massive cooling ccapaity yet there doesen't really seem to exist one right now. I would like to see a case designed by one who knows a lot about mini itx cases.
      PC component has a fixed formfactor but I am sure a mini itx build ccould be a lot more space effiient that what we currently have. I mean, just look at this build in this video, there is still a ton of empty space that isn't really needed for anything. I wonder what the most spaccce effiient pcc case would looklike without redesigning the entire PC market :D

    Lovely build as always! I think the best setup for this case is to use two radiators, one in the bottom and one in the top, with a vertically mounted gpu. It's a bit harder to fit, but the airflow is more logical and there are less components blocking the fans. You can also fit a thicker radiator in the bottom. I went for this in my own build and the temps are phenomenal with gpu (3080) never going above 54 C.

    I recently build my PC in a NR200P. It was my first SFF build and it was a 3090FE and a 5950x of all things and there were some challanges. First challange...the cables. I had to use the SFX-L mounting (meaning 1 slim fan on the top), otherwise the cables would block the rear Fan of the 3090FE. And even then i had to tuck them REALLY tight.
    Then there was the Glacierwater 280 AIO from Alpenföhn. It has one of the most silent Pumps out there. But the Radiator has a little more length then usual. In order to put it in i had to unscrew the entie front of the case. After it is in there i can screw in the front again and it fits.
    I also used the NZXT-Fan Controller so i can control each type of Fan individually.

    Hey Ali great video! I just bought Ncase M1 (switching from NZXT h210i) because I fell in love with it after watching your videos. I have a question for you. I have an NZXT x53 cooler and I'm gonna mount it on the side for now (planning on doing a custom loop setup in the future) and I'm wondering if I should set it up as an exhaust or intake? The GPU is Nvidia Rtx 3070 FE. Should I do bottom intake and top exhaust or vice versa? I don't want to choke my GPU. Thanks for the great inspiration!

    I'd like to see you clean the dust out this case on one year from July 17, 2021. That one thing I don't see your cover, dust accumulation in your tight builds. This is your most impressive build to date. The only thing I would change is extend the fillport all the way to the case panel so you could fill it without removing the panel and as an added bonus it would serve as your reservoir.

    I'd look into a short pump/res ddc combo unit on top of the GPU in this case. I didn't do a top rad, but I did do the side and bottom, and an ek DDC w/ a tube res combo unit is comfortably sitting on top of the GPU at the rear of the case. Works great. You could even screw it in to the back vs taping it onto the GPU if you don't like that. And if it short, it won't even interfere with the top panel rad if you're nuts.

    i'm currently building a mix between this one and the watercooled NR200P you did a while back but with only two 240 rads on top and bottom on a push config, with enough clearance for airflow thanks to 3D printing.
    (the fans for the lower rad are actually outside under the case hidden by a 3d printed skirt/feet combo so that there's enough clearance between GPU waterblock & rad for airflow, and the whole top rad/fans is hidden at the same place as in the video, but the whole top plate has been raised 3cm thanks to 3dprinted parts.)

  • @Squinoogle
    @Squinoogle 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Horrendously impractical. I approve!
    That poor little fan being smothered by the GPU block, those tiny little fans on the top rad. You're absolutely right that you'd get better results with fewer rads and cleaner airflow. I'd go so far as to say that you could probably get better results using just one rad and an overwhelmingly positive pressure configuration.
    Anyway, it's still fun to see crazy stuff like this - and I'm still loving that GPU block.

  • @Battle_Scars
    @Battle_Scars 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did a build with a top and bottom rad (both 240 slim) in the nr 200p in Jan21. Ended with a third 90 mm rad on the side just to keep the glass panel. I can confirm its a pain in the a** to do this but it looks awesome how dense it is.

    if I remember correctly, Scythe has a 12mm fan that would probably be a perfect replacement for those 15mm A12x15s on the top rad. cooling might not be as good as those Noctua fans, but they'll still be able to move air.

    @Mrdardas99 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Looks beautiful, though one would imagine there really is little point in making it so hard for the fans to actually move cool air through the radiators to bleed the heat away. It will probably run much more smoothly and have fans and pumps and M2 SSD live longer with only 2 rads, spaced out decently and without very low profile. I actually have in a closet somewhere an extremely thin Scythe fan I got for free but it can only produce enough pressure for radiator use in a noisy 2,000 RPM.

    So this is kinda the build i wanted to build last christmas. My plan was to go for the Nr200p and a vertical gpu. Same top rad setup but a thicker bottom one (45mm), with a small pump/res combo at the right side (there is a cyberpunk themed build that is almost exactly like this). But then there were no gpus, no cpus and no sff psu available in my region. I researched for like two weeks what components to get and now i see you struggling with the top rad. There was this one dude who put a 240 aio (TD02-SLIM-V2) at the top side and it seems like he had no prolems, despite the aio being 1,5 mm thicker.

    Preface: Not throwing shade at OT, just wanted to share my experience!
    I would recommend AGAINST the barrow pumpblock. I ordered one for amd and it managed to get air trapped between the coldplate and the pump, killing the DDC and causing constant thermal issues with my SSUPD build.

    Radiator count, sizing, thickness and fin density all come with diminishing returns, I believe the same to be true for fans.
    Still, an awesome build and it's always refreshing to witness what's possible 👌👌

    Damn what a nice build, thank you for trying, would have been interesting to see tests removing the top rad and prove your claims, thank you for this great build though.

    Hey mate, what's the RGB lighting tube you have in the background of these vids? It looks great and I'd love to pick one up for myself.

    Nice. Now try the quad rads setup

    Hey Ali, the top rad mount really depends on the motherboard. I have the same setup using the top panel after removing the mesh and screwing the rad on the top. I removed the rubber dampers and after mounting the Noctua slim fans, I had just enough clearance without having to mod anything else on the motherboard on cables.
    I'm using the X570 Aorus ITX board. So the mileage will obviously vary.
    Also, for future videos of water-cooled ITX system, can you give a mention of the coolant temps? Loved the video you made a few months ago regarding adding a temp sensor and it would be nice to see it in these types of videos!
    Great stuff as always.

      would you say you have the clearance only because you removed the dampers ?

    A TH-cam channel called Machines & more actually goes over a slightly better method of putting a top rad that offers a bit more clearance maybe? For anyone interested in this type of configuration. Currently run this set up minutes the third side radiator and I can confirm it was extremely difficult filing down the some of the parts for that top radiator to fit. Nicely done

    Hey Optimum! You should try to use scythe slipstream slim 120mm fans. They're just 12mm thick!

  • @Rusteh100

    Should have gone with the 17mm 240mm radiator from Ali Express - it's what I used to fit a triple rad setup in my ITX case!

    Have you ever thought about using a vacuum pump while the loop is running to remove the air inside the loop faster ?

  • @alt5494
    @alt5494 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think this build has more potential with a fan swap. Two noctua industrial 140mm fans on the 280mm radiator (intake), and swap the noctua slim fans onto the bottom radiator(intake)(no fans on top rad). If possible loop order should be top, bottom, side radiator for most efficient configuration. Cheers

    Impossible is not in your dictionary. The N200 is just so versatile.
