Love the content guys as always. Just a question why do you think Hao Yu Lee is not as well thought of throughout the industry? Same age and level as Marcelo Mayer and strikingly similar stats this year. I know Mayer has probably the better profile playing SS and more power but numbers are almost identical. One is a top 100 and one is not listed. Just curious your thoughts
Rogelio here: it is strange, considering how well he basically carried Erie’s offense in the first half of the season. Without him, they don’t win that playoff berth. Because of the Tigers trying him at third, perhaps that took away his attention of playing second very well. He’s a great defender there but could be also, the case that Boston had their three guys in Portland at the same time, (Teel, Anthony and Jordan) with Mayer.
Fair point could be the position change. Also Mayer’s ability to play SS always vaults people up the charts plus the draft spot but just interesting how close the stats are and how little Lee is talked about nationally
I ended up looking up his stats and in the same amount of at bats compared to Colt Keith in Erie until he got promoted to Toledo, Lee hit .297 with a wRC+ of 151 and Keith was at .330 clip with a wRC+ of 169 but slugging nearly at the same clip.
how many seasons were derailed by June by Tony Clark ice-cold starts.. he'd pad his stats come July-August and end up w/ 25-30 HRs and people would think he was a serviceable first-basemen, but he was not. He's a decent executive though. #GoTigers
Just a little ditty But Steve Adams over at MLBTR Has a pretty interestingly accurate track record with his Free Agent predictions this offseason so far Like 80 percent accuracy Worth noting He predicted the Tigers will sign Jack Flaherty Teoscar Hernandez And Jose Quintana Just saying Even one of them would be ideal Especiially Teoscar
No they don't simply because they lack top end pitching prospects outside of Jobe. Everyone knows pitching trumps hitting! You can't have a top 3 system without at least 2 or 3 top pitching prospects in your top 10 prospects list. Outside of Jobe, the only other pitching prospects that are interesting are Hamm and Melton.

Thanks for the info interesting stat contrast with Keith. Not as far off from Keith as I would have thought either.
Good evening gentlemen
Few top 10 prospect lists for any team have more than 2-3 players that end up being effective ML players
This is true, just was strange for a while that the Tigers didn’t even have more than one for periods at a time

clark was high average at best.
Great to see theyre focusing so much on improving thr minor league teams
Wouldnt it be exciting if they did the same with the Major league team?
Just a little ditty

Worth noting

That’s a good tidbit, Jeff, thanks for sharing.
If the headline is correct, then why aren't they in Detroit and the trash pickups in some other country?
Tigers could have DFA’d Baez and Meada and could have protected Hicks and Workman.
I know it's not minor league stuff, and you probably won't see this, but the young guy I've seen with the most desirable stuff? Mike King!!!!! 🧐😯😯
I'd like to see Josue Briceno playing 1st base for the Tigers in 2025 but I don't they will do that
