The longer this goes on the more i feel like Breggman is using Detroit to raise the price on Boston.

Let’s hope Boston gets Aernado & backs off Bregman. Fingers crossed

Bregman wants $200M, but he's not going to get it. I don't know if he can even get the $156M that Houston previously offered him. I think Boston and Detroit are waiting for him to take a short term contract. I think Detroit is also waiting to see if Flaherty and Santander will take short term contracts. Most likely, one or two of them will. They are running out of time.

Why doesn’t Kreidler factor in at short? He never got his timing back after breaking his hand in early April. Remember he did have an excellent spring training. I just see a high IQ player who is upping his versatility. Agreed he needs to hit ML pitching.

Riley needs to really step it up and have a MVP level season. With Tarik likely to be traded (little Ilitch will never pay him the huge new contract), the window is open.

      Harris won’t pay Skubal either

I wonder if ZIPS factored in the time Perez and Meadows are going to miss due to injury for running into each other in the outfield 😂

I don't think the projections for Meadows & Carpenter are realistic if they stay healthy. Far too low estimations in my opinion. Carpenter will hit more than 19 homes & Riley Green hit 4 more homes last year than he is predicted to hit this year. I think this year is going to be a lot of fun for Tiger fans. They got some seasoning last year & I think they like winning. Thanks for keeping us up to date with the latest Tiger moves & news, Scott. Go Tigers!

Riley will be more of a 4 and Parker will be over 3 for the year. Vierling and Perez are probably a 2-2.5 combined and Carp is a 3 to 4 player.

Scott, you need to get the off-season over and done. It's wearing you out. Thank goodness for the Wings, Pistons, and College basketball. Those teams have once again brought a little joy to Mudville. Can you imagine .500 records for those pro squads? And back-to-back wins on the Coast for UM after the debacles of Howard, Lalonde, and Williams? Yikes! All is well.

I hate projections mostly because they usually just slightly modify the previous seasons stats without regard for changes in a players particular situation. I also love them because they can help give us a general idea of what we’re working with overall and it’s just fun theorizing on what could be.
To that end if somebody were to ask me to give my thoughts on some key guys here’s what I’d expect next season assuming health is not an issue.
Player Avg. R HR RBI SB
    Greene .264 78 28 87 18
    Kieth .272 73 19 75 12
    Meadows .246 84 15 59 21
    Carpenter .268 65 23 73 3
    Torres .255 57 14 64 1
    Sweeney .236 41 12 37 8
    Rogers .202 39 9 48 0
    Malloy .259 48 16 53 2
    Jung .264 45 12 47 5
    Vierling .251 54 14 51 3
    Tork .238 27 8 33 0
Totally just for fun. I’m sure I’ll be very wrong on a few guys and Tork is a total mystery to be honest. Last year I did the same and I was pretty close on about half and I almost pegged Keith’s final #’s exactly. Go Tigers!

The Tigers have screwed up Riley Greene by trying to change his swing to get the ball in the air. As a result he has not developed into the hitter he has the potential to be, and now strikes out way too much

    • @Springbok314
      @Springbok314 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

Agree. He was also mostly a non factor in the playoffs

Greene's strikeout percentage has went down each year. And his walk rate has improved substantially.

@@Thonolan000 I've been watching him since he was 18 yrs old first yr in spring training after getting drafted. And they should have left him alone, he really could be a great hitter. Walk rate is ok, but there's never been a productive strikeout. And there's way too much swing n miss since they screwed with his swing.

@@Starlight-Sailing-Adventure Again, he improved dramatically last year. Whatever the coaches are doing with him, they need to double down on it.
