I was wondering the same thing but ownership responded to the negative response of the fans or was looking for a fall guy and canned Bloom. Might've been a tad too hasty on that!
This is exciting to hear as a Cardinals fan. I'm sure we've got some painful years ahead, but if ownership can be patient, I'm looking forward to the final product for our organization.
Red sox nunca había tenido un sistema de granjas tan poderoso como el de ahora, no deben cambiar a nadie del top 5, todos esos grandes prospectos los tienen gracias a bloom.van a ser unas estrellas.
Hope they DONT trade away anymore young talent on the cutting edge of the Major league level. The Sox have Kristian Campbell, Marcelo Mayer, and Roman Anthony to call up and develope in the majors through 2025. Stay the course with these you players and the Sox will be in the running for a 2025 Wild Card and will in 2026 and beyond
@@Michael-tj5bkDoubtless. Roger was the 19th pick. Was drafted a couple years earlier by the Mets in the 12th round passing on it and going to college instead. The big four of Red Sox first round history are Nomar, Mo Vaughn, Jim Rice and Roger.
We are bidding up Soto because the owner knows the Mets will top any offer and this gets the Sox looking like they were in on a big free agent player without a fear of actually signing him. So when they pick up Kyle Gibson and maybe some right hand batter who is nothing special they can claim on being in a big bidding war. The Sox team next year will be the same team as last year with a couple of names changed. Its amazing the Sox were supposed to pick up a couple of pitchers to actually improve the team but they got in on this goose chase which they have no chance of winning to get them off the hook of actually doing something. Its useless to get Soto when they are supposed to have so many great position players and outfielders especially. They need pitching not another outfielder who will be clogging up the DH spot with 3 other players in about 5 years instead of taking that money and getting Burnes and Fried and being able to even get Teoscar with the same amount of money if you believe the Sox have bid $700 mil for Soto. You could even trade for Crochett and give him and extension also and still be under what you paid for Soto if they were serious. But Henry is playing this game knowing he doesn't have a shot and in the end not get anyone but has the Soto chase to use as an excuse. That is why they are bidding for Soto.

@ ok I will blame the Red Sox front office who want to try and be like the Rays. Nobody follows the Rays. Red Sox biggest mistake was getting Chaim Bloom and claim to rebuild the farm system.
Damn, all these draft picks by Bloom makes me wonder if they shoulda kept him! lol lots a great draft selections by him!

Thanks Boston, Bloom is precisely the guy this organization needed to get back on track and do what the cards do best ,developing homegrown talent

En los 70s. Rice, Fisk, Lynn, Evans, Remy, y otras. Mas increible!
Arias, Bleis, Jhostynixon, and Cespedes all have cases IMO.
Bleis doesn't. The rest do

Bleacher Report has them rated 3rd so they could have the best farm system. Only the Rays and Mariners were ranked higher.
The Rays are farming their top prospects for The Dodgers and Yankees.
lol😂@@kramalerav
This years number 1 pick (2024) might be the best player the Sox will ever pick!!!
Hahaha they picked Roger Clemens. Try again

Reds have an incredible farm system. Just needed to be used correctly. Tito will help with that
Clearly not, or we wouldn't be bidding so much for Soto
were biddding on soto bc our farm system is good for the future of the red sox
