As a longtime BÖC fan, this song pleases me - hard rocking and kick ass like so many of their classic tracks; really makes me think of old rockers like "Beat 'Em Up" and "R.U. Ready 2 Rock." Great to see Albert Bouchard making his little guest appearance with "more cow bell" (LOL), and happy to see that Buck Dharma and Richie Castellano are sharing the guitar spotlight... no egos, just rock! Love it.
I am also a longtime BÖC fan, but I have to say I'm very dissappointed over this song. It doesn't sound like BÖC and I expected something much better from them.
Yes sounded reminiscent of that song and a culmination of songs off their last two albums. Cool riff. Catchy hook chorus. Goofy video! Hope it gets some radio play. 😁
Eric Bloom is the ultimate in cool and the true VOICE of BOC .... Ritchie brings new 'youngblood' to the group and great playing on both guitar and keyboards .... Buck stands alone as one of the most unique and accomplished guitarists in the business. The rest of the band sounds AMAZING! BOC RULES!
By not compromising to put out for a label that didn't support them when sales fell. Their label now, Frontier, is Italian, and released a boatload of live bootleg stuff. They promoted and recorded during COVID, more than most bands. So glad I caught a BÖC concert in March of 2017, but the new album is top notch. It's astounding that the Grammys and Rock Hall of Fame haven't awarded or inducted them.
Albert Bouchard thrashing the shit out of that cowbell makes me understand my lifelong obsession with BOC has not been in vain. This makes me very happy.
Amazing that the music is still so good. I don't usually rate many old bands trying to rock out in their 70s but this album is astonishingly high quality. Been a BOC fan from the start but kind of lost touch some years back, especially because there were no new studio albums for nearly 20 years. The symbol remains indeed, and also the substance.

Awesome! Great track! Killer main riff. I already learned it on guitar. BOC have consistently come up with great riffs in their career. Very cool to let Ritchie have the solo in this. Very generous of Buck. And I LOVE that they have Albert Bouchard guesting on vocals and cowbell. Eric sounds good too and the band are in great form. I can't wait to hear the whole record. BOC's Richie Castellano is going to be a big deal in rock and I just hope he keeps working with the BOC as well as his own solo (inevitable!) projects. He's a great singer songwriter. I'd love to write lyrics for him but he writes very good lyrics all on his own. His The Alchemist is certainly one of the best songs on the album.
A little over 52 years since I saw Soft White Underbelly. Mr Roeser definitely still has the chops. Eric's voice is sounding good. Ritchie has been a wonderful addition. Jules and Danny make a solid backbeat section. All in all, a great lineup to keep the legacy going. Albert was a smiling raising Bonus.
Since there's nowhere else to put this comment for a broad album overview I'll just put it here at the beginning. This is the heaviest and most consistent album from BOC since Fire of Unknown Origin. The rhythm section is in top form, excellent drums bass and rhythm guitar. Buck's and Eric's vocals are as strong as ever. Some of the tunes are among the heaviest they've ever done. If there's anything missing from this album it's Alan Lanier's keyboards keyboards. He brought that unique atmosphere to the BOC repertoire that can't be replicated. He was hands down my favorite keyboardist of all time, I wished he could have contributed to this cuz it would have taken it to an greater level. That being said, if this is their final album It's a hell of a swan song! Long as the mighty Blue Oyster Cult! 🖤🔥🦖👽💀
So happy to hear of a new BOC album. Been a long time - 19 years. Buying the CD as soon as I can. Being released (October 9th) the day after my birthday. Albert and his brother are from my hometown where I was born - Watertown, New York.

One of the reasons I love boc and have seen them 21 times since 1976 is...... BUCK DHARMA!! He influenced my playing so much. However, I did not like seeing the first two videos of this new recording featuring some other player. Now, Ritchie is a great player and singer but his sound, both guitar and vocals is NOT boc. They are heading the right direction on several songs here but I don't want lead guitar from ANYONE other than the mighty Buck Dharma. He has a style all his own that was instrumental in the bands sound. Buck and Eric are the voices that define boc (and Albert Bouchard) but al isn't a member any longer (should be). I would like Albert to come back as the other guitar player (since the drummer they have is been with them so long) and Al, besides singing many of boc's greatest tunes is also a very good guitar player and awsome song writer. Bringing him back into the fold would be the home run, the cohesive glue they have been missing for 30 years. Castellano is just not right for this band. He is massive talented but is not boc in his voice or his guitar style. He needs to front his own band.

I became a BOC fan in the 70s and lost my way, but Richie Castellano and the Band Geeks performed cardio tempo resuscitation and brought me back. I love the recent BOC album. I think it's their best yet.

BOC never fails me! What I look for in their music, is their ability to transcend time and keep the style evolving, but the BOC sound is always so evidently clever. No other band can sound like them. It is automatic when I hear new tracks from them, that I enjoy to the maximum and want to hear it again! This is extreme professionalism!
I'm really amazed. Not only at the obvious talent showcased here, but also at Richie's solo, which to me has all the hallmarks and quirkiness that reminds me of earlier BOC. Excellent

I just saw these guys May 28 2021. They open with this song, they were awesome! Funny thing Blue Oyster Cult was the last concert I saw at the end of February 2020 right before covid hit. Blue Oyster Cult was the first concert I saw this year after the covid. Came full circle I guess. LOL! Awesome!!!

I remember seeing BOC in the late seventies when Albert was still with them. He’s an incredible drummer & his solos were amazing.
