Yes ! They need to be in the Hall of Fame - so many great albums and concerts . But don't forget about Steppenwolf , Mountain , or Blue Cheer , just to name some early heavy rock American bands .
Never really thought of these guys as a medal band though some songs do qualify, more like progressive hard rock in my humble opinion. As far as the RHOF goes it's almost like they'll let anybody but good bands in there

After seeing BOC in concert a couple dozen times, I finally got to meet them in 2001. I had to thank Buck for all the guitar lessons over the years. Eric remembered me from a couple shows and Allen remembered my wife from a show where she got him to sign my Starfleet baseball cap while he was taking a break. It was a night I'll never forget.
bon dieu quel guitariste.....rory gallagher, ritchie blackmore, pat travers etc etc .vous faite partie MR BUCK DHARMA de mes guitariste préféré....ça prends aux trippes......merci merci
BOC is still rippin' needless to say!! They just put on a great show for us in Everett, WA and the wife and I were blessed to see them burn out the night! Thank you Buck, Eric, Richie, Jules and Kasim for a fantastic night of killer rock!
Absolutely awesome. I love the song Shooting Shark. I am so happy to hear these awesome guitar parts instead of a saxophone, as on the original recording. But the original albums are awesome nonetheless.
I can't ever remember how many times I have seen these guys. From the laser lights in the 70's to last year. Why do I keep coming back? Do I REALLY need to explain? Killer mix and sound.
I’m embarrassed to say that I had not heard this song before. But prior to seeing BOC in Tucson last Saturday, I used this video as a “preview” for the show! What an absolute gem of a song and so very well done!! Then, of course, they played it live at the concert and enjoyed it so much! Great song, great band!!
Seen them many many moons ago when they played at the Contra Costa county fairgrounds almost 20 years ago in Antioch CA.... It was during the fair in the middle of summer...our race team heard bucks boogie start playing and we all ran over to the stage and saw them getting down after the races were over.... We won our division in Sprint cars that night at the dirt track next door and got a surprise treat..... We found out later buck didn't want to play his set till the races were over, it would be too noisy and it would take away from his show and the fans that came to see the band.... Such a cool night..... We kicked ass on the track that night then got to see a bad ass show afterwards...... I will always remember that goofy guitar 🤣 he's had that for as long as I can remember and he also played it at the show we were at that night.... Such good memories.....
This comment brought a tear to my eye. Yes, you are somebody, as valid as anyone else on the planet. As someone who has been with Buck since our college days, I know that is what he’d say to you, too. Peace and love be with you….
I first thought the lyrics on Vigil said they breed us in the dead of night but it says they greet us, but many abduction stories say they do more than say howdy. Buck Dharma is amazing and 76.

Because they are busy putting Dolly Parton and frickin Lionel Ritchie in… the only ones worthy in the last batch was JUDAS PRIEST.. !!! They seriously need to change the name to Music hall of fame..
That is a good question and somebody needs to find out why not . They have all the credentials , so what is the problem ? Oh , the guy that runs the thing doesn't like heavy rock . They like rappers and hip hoppers now .Yecch .
They are neither , but some amazing musicians and song writers for sure . I met Eric once and he was as nice as could be . They are all good guys who love America !

Do not forget the legendary Kasim Sulton on bass. The level of talent onstage is epic.

shooting shark is such a great song. so under appreciated.
What a band! What talent! 50+ years of excellence!
I graduated High school in 1974. Seen them many times. First time in '73. Part of the soundtrack of my life!
The Vigil!!! Probably the best BOC song of all time!!!🔥👍🏻

Love Shooting Shark, can't understand why it's never mentioned in lists of BOC classics
Mainly because that list is about 60 songs deep ...
No pun intended but its a cult favorite. They played it live when I saw them last in 2017 and it was amazing live.
A great song.
Considering how much airplay it got back in the 80's, it really is a shame. Great song.

These guys present their music so brilliantly. clear, forceful, not overbearingly loud. And usually in a not big theatre for closeness.
dad played this song for me on a tape when I was about 8 years old; still as amazing even in my 30's . This; nosferatu and in thee
Buck Dharma you are the Man............... when I hear him play he sets the table for all before and after
Not a coincidence its sounding incredible. Kasim Sulton IS on bass.

This is the first time I've listened to them, I didn't know them. Music of the highest level, very good
Blue Oyster Cult is an amazing and complex band
Everything they record in the studio sounds as good or better live My favorite band

The vigil. Love that freakin song.
This is one of the best live recordings of a performance set I have ever seen. Studio-quality, spot on performance, acoustics and vocals.
I love how Kasim's bass is brought forward in the mix. So punchy!
Best (non-Joe) bass player they've ever had in my estimation.
Kasim is a monster talent.

Shooting Shark is one of my favorites
gotta love the total mastery of swiss cheesing the riffs. BOC rulez
THE original Goth band
Incredible guitar work from both musicians. The whole band was spot on this evening!!+
The groove on this live version of Shooting Sharks makes my eyes water. Play it loud....sound is good!
The legend lives on. "From NYC the amazing Blue Oyster Cult."
Nice camera work - good to see Buck's whole guitar and not just his strumming hand has many concert videos do.
The bass line in this song is friggin ridiculous!!!
Shout out to Jules and Kasim. Such fantastic musicianship - with groove and funk!

The Vigil is such an epic song!
Would love to see this entire show, excellent sound!
i love the layers and beauty of their music
The Vigil is killer
Ritchie......Unbelievable.....🎤🎸🎸🎸🎹🎸🥁🔥👊🙏
One of the best versions❤️
I actually prefer this version compared to the studio version. Buck's guitar is alot hotter and reaches further, amazing.
I can't ever remember how many times I have seen these guys. From the laser lights in the 70's to last year. Why do I keep coming back? Do I REALLY need to explain? Killer mix and sound.
such a knockout performance
What a great live performance! Super stuff…
This is by far my most favorite performance by Blue Öyster Cult. I love Shooting Shark!
The drummer is so groovin' - yeah, man!
That was so good ..... they got a groove on during Shooting Shark. Sound quality & playing on both was superb.
Goose Bumps!
I would pay any money to see them play this. Excellent camera work by the way.
This performance speaks for itself. I have nothing to add.
One of my favorite BOC Songs
The Vigil! I am still waiting too Eric!

Best BOC lineup I have seen in decades!
I'm sorry but buck from blue oyster cult , one the very best guitar player missions on earth.....
No doubt about it - only Andy Powell from Wishbone Ash comes close . Been hearing Buck for 50 years before I could shave .
my god this is lovely.

Excellent my friend, glad you are still playing headless guitars...I play mine everyday the "Harrower Guitar".

Gotta love the Swiss cheese guitar
Song takes you on a journey, like many of there's

Buck, your the goat. Come back too Atlanta, me Jason and his wife have met you in person and we want to see you again!
Sadly to say, that I never seen BOC. Now whenever this damn pandemic ends I hope they make a trip to NorCal and I will be sure to attend a BOC show.

Saw them a few years ago in Santa Cruz, on the beach. Not a bad way to spend a Friday evening
Ritchie with a smokin solo then Buck steps up and shows him how to do it and remain as smooth as silk.
Serious "earworm" material here!
Beautiful song
Seriously though, this is great. Buck has a nice voice. This is better than the sterile sounding 80s version.
This performance is so solid and then they top it off with turning buck loose with two or three time signature changes
We are nobody, but we love you guys!
Thats what makes you special!
