I have used the arctis 5. I would honestly recommend the hyperx cloud alpha over them. Maybe it is just me but the earcups are too small and the pads too shallow for my ears. I also think the audio on mine isn't centered completely but instead slightly shifted to the left. I switched to Beyerdynamic DT990 in january and they are far better for my ears comfort and soundwise. On the other hand, I have trouble finding any headphones that fit my ear comfortably so maybe they are indeed very good for other people.

Vox3l-Gl1tch True it is unbalanced. I had it but the earcups where to shallow. I copped a Elite Pro Atlas and they where much better.
i have the arctis 7 as well, great headset, only thing that i didnt like about the arctis 7 was that it wasnt fully wireless because u had to attach a usb wireless broadcaster

Im rocking the Hyperx Cloud 2, do you guys think Hyperx Mix would be worth it? Or is there any other headset with the same cups as cloud 2? Cuz i have a big head and these fit perfectly!

I loved this headset while it worked. The only con for it is the hinges where you can turn the cups sideways. I had mine for a few months now. Going on 5 months. I was super careful with the headset, but I had those hinges break on me and my cups would fall out. But other than that defect, these headphones are fantastic. I wish mine worked again. I miss them.
They do give a pretty decent warranty you could get a replacement

I have the Arctis 3, and it is a very good headset. The only issues I have are :
- It falls from the head if you move too much
- The dongle is very very poor, but he 9X isn't concerned :)
I really enjoyed how you hit every point and helped us determine mic quality and sound. What do you think about doing a review on the new turtle beach elite atlas aero wireless headset? I think we will all benefit from your thoughts!

Returned my turtle beaches 600s and went to buy these. They are amazing and I highly recommend them to anyone who loves to be immersed with single player story games and also multiplayers! Great headset and would buy again if I had to.
4 months later, how is the headset holding up?
Im looking to upgrade from the 600s too. They broke for no damn reason. Ive never dropped them or anything, i always took care of them. Looking to buy these.

Wiremode yo just saw the reply man sorry for the late one but I had to return a pair because the headset was stuck “on” wouldn’t turn off at all and was bugged. Must’ve been something with connection issues but I got the same pair again and so far they’ve been great still. I would get the new Arctics X, I believe that’s what they’re called but I really enjoy the surround sound.

It doesn't even turn off by itself, the audio profile "customization" is a joke, and it commits the cardinal sin of an unstable connection ("unless you turn off all your Bluetooth products near it" Are you joking.....?)

I have had this headset for a year since release, It was incredible until a few days ago where it will no longer charge or turn on.

@@pvoronenko2318 Its sound quality is really great; if you change some settings on your Xbox you can make them sound better. The mic is also very good.
The only thing about them is their lack of bass, But I still really like the headset.

Steel Series is really stepping up their game with this one. Companies like Astro and Turtle Beach better step up their game.
These aren't even Dolby digital,so why does astro need to step up their game? Aren't the attics stereo?
Turtle beach makes cheap headsets with amazing quality. For real, its steelseries that needs to work on the prices. These dont even have dolby digital. I bought a headset from turtle beach for 60 and the only thing thats worse when comparing it to these is that they arent wireless and are likely less comfortable
@@olku I own both I can say that the steelseries has better mic quality and better comfort and over is better if you can afford it and for the dolby problem just buy dolby atoms for 15 bucks on xbox and its basicly similar to the real thing but turtle beach has them beat in price tho.

Modz 6383 oh word, glad I found a fellow Dolby Atmos user. So the Steelseries sound good for gaming /movie watching with Atmos enabled on Xbox? I've been using my Hyperx alphas with a turtle beach controller amp with Dolby Atmos on and they literally sound as good as a nice pair of SEN or BDs

@@mariavazquez119 only if you use a 3.5 mm cable with the proprietary connector on the other end. Unfortunately, the 9x does not come with that cable in the box and I didn’t find one on their site to purchase.
I ended up giving this one to my son and I kept using my PS4 Arctis 7 wireless (I use that one wired for Xbox)

@@Songbirdofourgeneration Yep, still love them, very comfy on long sessions, I also bought some Plantronic Rig 800's, amazing sound quality with Atmos, punchier bass, better volume and spookily good directional sound so very immersive. Prefer Rig's for solo COD etc, but like the 9X for Multiplayer where chat is needed as the chat balance and mic is a bit nicer on them. Both fantastic though, couldn't choose between the two if I had too, best of both worlds I guess.

After watching quite a few online reviews for this headset, I was pretty positive that it'd be a great investment and they are. I absolutely love this headset, however......not one review that I've seen has mentioned that you can't disable to auto power on function of the Xbox. I understand that this is primarily an Xbox gaming headset, but it's marketed as being multi purpose for listening to music from your phone or PC etc. Just know that every single time your turn this headset on, it will turn your Xbox on, and there is no way to disable this.
How is it for party chatting during games?
But if there isnt any power supply to your xbox it wont turn on right?

I got a pair this week and I like them, i play music while playing with my friend. And noticed sounds that I never knew were there before i say it's a good buy for xbox players
But are they loud enough in your opinion? Also, bass wise, how do they compare to a Turtle Beach Stealth 420x for example? I need something with stronger bass.

I don't care for turtle beaches but I do like how good they're mic monitoring usually is, especially compared to the A50 v2 I have. I saw there is a sidetone option you can adjust when plugged into a pc, how good do you think the sidetone features are on these bad boy's?

@@kelvinmoresi924 So far I like the A50's. I had a rough start with them as a recent firmware was buggy and broke the mic. They've since re-released the firmware and all is good. I like the A50 docking station myself even though its a bit finicky to seat sometimes. The two things that interest me in the SteelSeries and Lucid Sound LS35X are the wireless pairing and the simple colours. Though it sounds like the wireless pairing is potentially still a bit bumpy and could have drops given how few headsets are using. The green A50's to me look a bit dated and would prefer something more understated (just black).

A friend just got these and I tried them out. I like everything about them except for how shallow the ear pads are. My ears hit the drivers and it's very uncomfortable. Apparently this is a fairly common issue that can be solved with some Brainwavz ear pads. Going to try them out with those, and if they fix the issue then I am sold on these.
I currently own the LS35X. The build of them feels nicer than the 9X, however they are noticeably weightier. The standard ear pads are much more comfortable than the 9X, but the headband of the 9X is more comfy. Sound quality is very similar, however the LS35X very occasionally crackles, and so far haven't noticed that at all in the 9X
I had the LS35X and the audio constantly cut out occasionally didn't even come back on. I returned them immediately, for that kind of money that shouldn't be a problem. Maybe it was just my pair.

I ordered a pair last night, i love how simple the headset is with the fabric band and can’t wait to see what the sound quality is like. My only worry is the issue i’ve heard some people have had where the headset cuts out every so often, hopefully i dont have this issue!

i have an arctis 7 and ive also had a TB stealth 420x along with the basic xbox headsets and i liked how comfortable the band is as opposed to the hard plastic with some cushion of the stealth 420x. the 7 does slide but it might just be my hair. If you connect to pc will the mic sound like that to other people because of bluetooth connection or can you connect it differently but still wireless to pc?
also seeing as theure often compared to the a50 which is 300 and typically favored over them id say its a good buy but im not sure if its pure performance that theyre favored for or also the pricepoint. if theyre better performance and that pricepoint then thats a win win.

We just got a pair of these for my son for Christmas.. I researched sound quality but never bothered paying attention to the charging port because why would they not be usb-c... Was very disappointed to see that they were micro. We'll see how well it holds up over time with an 11 year old using them

Ragedx Rino I have both. I would say these are much more comfortable, better looking, better connections, and more ease of use. But the astros sound a tiny bit better, but nothing too noticeable. I think the steelseries are better
