Just bought these tonight after your review and all I can say is wow! The battlefield sounds like a real battlefield very impressed with this headset! Stylish and comfortable and very easy to use excellent sound best I’ve had so far!

Your local lame ass brilliant so far although if you go about Say 5-6meters away from your console they lose signal but I don’t move from my game chair so perfect great sound. Great for listening to music and watching films through to.

I love mine! The sound is quite impressive, mic quality is also really good, and Bluetooth is nice so between games I can watch TH-cam without removing my headset. Probably my only complaint is that there isn’t an eq setup available on the Xbox itself but all in all I’d say 9/10 stars.

@@bandzonyourheadtop8703 yes you can, pair it to your phone via bluetooth and the xbox via Xbox Wireless, and theres a chat mixer dial that will allow you to mute the xbox audio for say when you receive a phone call.
@@bandzonyourheadtop8703 the only thing I recommend when you're connected to your bluetooth, try to avoid being around other bluetooth devices ie... you bluetooth to your PC, dont have your phone sitting between you and your PC's bluetooth adapter or your audio will stutter occasionally. Soo many poor reviews of this for people who want to review a damn sound device, they barely talk about the sound itself, especially the EQ settings. All these reviews do is give you generic mumbo jumbo that can be applied to anything. Talk about the damn eq, talk about the differences between them more in depth, talk about the changes you can apply, custome modes and their effect and impact. This is what should be reviewed. Not what the damn device looks like to you. People have eyes they can see this. Rant over
The fact it can be used for lots of different purposes makes it quite attractive. One less thing in my bag could be a useful space saver, whether to replace my A50’s or not, and they’ve released a new version too

Only had this headset for a couple weeks and about to buy Astros. Don't be fooled like I was!!!
Audio:
If you are used to having a mixamp, this audio won't compare at all! A50's are 7.1, these are Stereo and its annoyingly obvious. No matter how "enhanced" the audio is, you need a mixamp to get a true 5.1 or better.
If you've had 5.1 or better already, you won't be able to use this headset. I was so excited for this headset because of reviews like this.
Connectivity: Started cutting out the 2nd day of using them.

Bought these last night, they come fully charged. Went 201-44 on BLOPS4 and the hearing was so much better. I read some reviews....change your audio output to Windows Sonic and it's even more amazing. One huge difference was the legitimate determination to figure out how far an enemy is based on footstep loudness.
HUGE WIN. I used to have A40s...but what I love most, is hitting the bluetooth button and they're already hooked up.
What audio mode do you use or did you make your own?

@@donnovan64 Amazing headset i recommend 10 out of 10, but i will say you need to get the xbox wireless usb adapter for pc. You won't be let down, but get the adapter for pc!
I like mine after years of turtle beech i'm happy to move away from them they've gotten to be of poor quality and design and way overpriced.
I have the 600s and one side broke for no damn reason so im looking at these. It have alot of mixed reviews so im still not sure i wanna drop 200.

I've been using Turtle beach stealth xo4 or something of that sort for about 6 years now. My first one I bought brand new when I was 16ish for 120$. They lasted 5 years and the only reason they stopped working is because the cord by the 3.5mm jack kept getting caught on everything when I moved. I'm now on my second pair of stealths and bought them used from a good friend for 40$. They're still strong. Either way, I'm buying these Arctis 9xs. These are insane and I hope I'm amazed by them as much as I believe I will be.
Speaking of, I can wear them for an entire 24 hour streaming challenge and my head doesn't hurt from them. I give the XO FOUR stealth a 10/10. However it's the only headset I've ever used. I hope since I'm moving out of TB I'll be happy. Also they're very good for the price

I love this mic so much I recommend it for everyone who’s looking for a great comfortable headset I have been using wired headsets ever since I started playing video games and they always break cause the bend of the wire when I play for long sessions but I’m happy to say I’ve finally gotten a wireless headset and they are way better

How is the bass? As a person that really enjoys a powerful bass for gunshots and explosions I wonder what I can expect.

You can push the EQ on these to get more punch in the bass but it distorts very quickly. You want bass go for Sony, astro a50 or dish out for the nuraphones

@@MrFiendyBob no not all, at first it's pretty difficult to find out how it works but later on. I just simply love it. The only sad part is it doesn't tell you how the battery life is, and then sometimes you hear cracky snow noises but that's after a long term playing I guess battery life but disappear quite fast. But I'm winning warzone matches headset is needed with those games. I just simply couldn't think of an other headset that just zinced in on the Xbox it self the price tho pretty high but later I found out there is a better version Arctis 9x pro try to google more and try to compare it from other TH-cam channels to find your very own headset if you any questions just feel free ♥ this headset I love it

Just got it today, I was using the turtle beach recon 200 before the purchase and I must say I thought they actually felt more comfortable and sounded better than the 9x, I also didn’t feel it got as hot on my ears as it does with the 9x, also I just wasn’t impressed that much with the 9x for the price, the sound just didn’t sounds as thrilling and exciting as the turtle beaches and I just felt like you might as well just not wear them and have the sounds coming out the t.v instead. The only thing I really like is the mic on this and the chat balance between chat and game. I also like that it doesn’t drop out much and that you can turn on the Xbox with the headset.This is all just my opinion, let me know what you think is a better gaming headset as I think I’m still going to have a look about, I want something that has a good mic and chat, plus good sound quality(gaming)
The green really doesn't make the headset look cheaper, it easily helps to identify if its for xbox or ps (blue) its very minimal. Both work for pc.
definitely. I ordered this becasue of its versatility. 3.5mm, bluetooth, and wireless. I actually didn't kow that I needed the xbox dongle for pc. So I bought one as well. which I can say is a lot more compact than the other steelseries dongle (that has cables... which kinda for me defeats the purpose of being wireless when you have cables still). and having a xbox wireless dongle that not only works for the headset but also works for controllers which is good.

although fair to mention that you can only pair the bluetooth one device at a time.
I have a budget headset as a spare and the way it’s built it wouldn’t snap as easily bc the plastic isn’t as thin.

I dunno the Lucid 35x that I have a pretty darn awesome. With easier master volume and chat mixer knobs on the earcups and all you have to do is push in the right earcup to mute mic. No messy behind the headset for anything. Also has Xbox direct connect.
Just a shame the max volume of this headset is not that loud when compared to its competitors!
Having this on full volume would hurt the ears after 10 minutes, just bought it yesterday and its excellent!

I think I’m gone like this way better than my 3rd gen astro A50s. I hate dealing with the astro A50s base station and I like the fact you can answer calls while gaming on the Xbox
Just ordered a set...let you know by next week dude...my tb stealth 700 just stopped working wont turn on unless you plug anything into the jack port..also can't connect to my xbox anymore...the reason I bought them..can't wait for these arctis 9x
My mic picks up everything in my house even the clicks from my controller.. so everyone bragging on the mic, but it needs a voice gate!
Just picked up these Cans and they are really good for what you get, no dongles base stations or optical cables to connect to your Xbox and they sound as good if not a bit better than my wired to controller Arctis 7.

Hmm..I use the Arctis 5 directly to controller with Windows Sonic and love them. Kinda want the 9x but can’t justify the $200 purchase when my setup works perfectly fine.

This headset is great but I know by now you're having issues with random disconnecting when turning on. I'm not the only one there are other reviews that state this issue. There hasn't been any type of firmware update to fix this and Steelseries has acknowledged the issue. Only thing I've read was them saying was hit the reset button under the ear pad which did nothing at all.
I play on Xbox One S and FPS games like (fortnite, MW, Apex, etc...) are the games I play. Footsteps are crucial for me and directional sound! Which headset is better Arctis 9x or Turtle beach elite pro 2 with superamp?

Got it last Friday, sounds a little better than Arctic’s 3 with the eq settings. So far pretty happy with them and I just was using the newer A50’s before them
Between the Astros and these which are the best for sound and comfort?
The Astro were slightly louder but I could never tell where footsteps were coming from, no matter what eq I tried. The 9x is spot on in any eq. If anyone is interested, check out the turtle beach elite atlas. Best headset I ever used for footsteps, blows everything else away!
And the Arctic’s are more comfortable but the a50’s are nice 2

Definitely will be my new main headphones after my AirPods broke I was left with my turtle beach recon 50 wired headset that I could only use on my iPad so in bought these to replace both sets but they won’t get here for 3 more days
I just wish you could detach the mic and maybe I’ll have to use a black marker on the headband!

I just got a pair for the XBOX because I have a pro on my pc which is the best, but I'm a little disappointed because the depth of field seems way to shallow.

I just bought these a couple of days ago. They are amazingly comfortable, the sound on all presets is also amazing. However.....the wireless connectivity, not so much. Goes in and out every few seconds. I updated the firmware, I've rebooted my xbox, moved any kind of interference even though I'm only 10 feet away from my tv, maybe even less. In going to keep them for a few more days, but if this continues I may need to find an alternative that's not wireless. I don't think this issue is specific to Arctis, because this happens with my Turtle Beach 700'S, but not as often.
What did you do? Mine is totally fine sometimes but sometimes it's horrible.
It sounds amazing but it picks up way too much interference and it cuts off alot. Never had this problem with my TBs.
Turtle beaches 700x are garbage 🗑 had to trade in 3 pairs bc it audio kept on cutting in and out.
Audio on my arctic 9x headset tends to cut out and lag behind actual video on tv while playing Xbox. No trouble whatsoever with iPhone. Issue could be due to mounting Xbox out of sight behind my tv.
Easily the best I have used based on quality of sound and comfort. Love it!!

zydio1103 series x isn’t an Xbox one it’s a new console generation but all Xbox one accessories will work on series x (confirmed by Microsoft).
Have you tried the surround sound settings. I'm a Dolby user. I wish Dolby would support the algorithm a little bit better on the console. Dolby Atmos is laughable at best because it's not supported by every game. Maybe a few handfull at best. I just wish they had the Pro Logic 2x software available to chose from. It has a wider sound stage and is really able to pinpoint enemy locations. With Atmos I can't tell if it's working or not kinda like a placebo affect. Can't wait for the EQ software to go live on the console. I think it's a genius idea that shows their commitment to the products quality.
Returned mines. Mic wasnt working consistently and overall did not sound like a premium product for $200

You charge it by connecting the black wire to the headset and the other end to the Xbox right?
If instead you put an iPhone charger block at the end of the black charger cord and plug it into the wall, will it charge ok?

From experience the bass is fair but does not punch that hard . You can EQ and sound and volume boost the low end but the audio will distort .
I'm going to be using this combined with xbox elite 2 controller for console gaming on my xbox and also mobile gaming on my Samsung galaxy s10+

@@mooniemuneer my 9x randomly cuts, after doing research it's because of my external hard drive so if you have an external hard drive, I'd check the frequency of any headset you buy or use a wired one

great review, I had purchased the A50's and the 9x to compare and I really liked that sound quality of the 9x. the A50's sounded great as well but I decided to go with 9x's. I used both to watch TV, youtube, Netflix and for me I liked the sound quality of the 9x's. it was a tough decision as they are both great wireless headsets.
But the astros a50 have lower latency then the 9x so you would get the sound faster wirelessly

It does, I've watched a few videos on it. You have to plug one of the pieces into the back of your Xbox though.

I had nothing but connection issues on mine, I went through 3 sets hoping I would get one that worked but they kept randomly turning off which would require me rebooting them (not ideal in the middle of blackout). I now have astro a50 and the sound quality is like night and day, the astro are louder and more defined, special awareness is far superior. I originally wanted the 9x due to its xbox connectivity protocol but that's about all it had going for it - when it works
But the Astro’s are £150 more and look horrible

Does anyone have advice for optimal settings for sidetone? I find it very silent. I do not want to be forced to use max overal volume to have a little bit of sidetone.
There is a slider to make side tone louder when you plug it into the computer, I purine way up cause what's what I'm used to on my old turtle beaches

Only downside and it's easy to solve. Is to turn on the TV Wifi feature it interferes with the headset frequency and itll pop, maybe depends on tv? Because I have a cromecast on my tv which is why I'm ok with not using the tv wifi. And chromecast and headset do not interfere

Sirius Black it’s been great! Only complaint is about once a play session (usually every 5 hours or so) it has a slight static in the connection. But that never lasts more than 5 min, and it’s very slight. It connects to your Xbox extremely easy. And using your phone Bluetooth while connected to the Xbox still is very easy, and very useful. It’s very comfortable, mic is solid. All around it’s great imo, and I’m not regretting it.

I’ve seen their social media team be very active recently, I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a solid warranty, they seem like a good company that would have that. I use razor controller and my turtle beach make a buzzing sound when wired, not nice for the party, would these still make a buzzing sound? Or would the wireless stop the grounding issue im getting from the xboxs electric current, I've read the 800x stop this problem 'but I fancy these due to having a boom mic, any replies would be much appreciated 'peace.

Do you have anything that lets out a signal that's near/in-between you and the console that it's connected to? Wireless headsets tend to get interference from other signals coming from devices like routers or other Bluetooth signals crossing it's path.
Either that or it could be a distance problem, although I doubt that since it has a range of about 20 feet.

I have this mic it randomly disconnects all the time. it is also is muted even the head is off and if I try unmute the mic is doesn’t do anything and if I try to turn it on it doesn’t. Tbh it was a waste of 200$

Only thing better about the a50s imo is they are capable of Dolby atmos. Otherwise, I think Arctis has it totally beat, especially since it doesn't need a transmitter, has bluetooth and is $50 less.
Jeremy Miethker a50s all day man there the real deal especially if you decided to get the mod kit for em straight clean feel to the ear and better sound that the stock ones plus you can always adjust sound setting within the astros app in your pc I have three set ups for games like pubg,r6,fornite,bf it’s real helpful in understanding where footsteps are comping from with this headsets I always laugh at campers since I can hear em a distance away then I pre fire them to hell lmao

Could I use this through bluetooth on xbox to talk in chat while also connected to a sound card while a optical is connected to my tv? Basicly use this for chat and hear the sounds from xbox through the tv?
Does anyone know if these go louder than the turtle beach stealth 600? I just returned those crappy TB's due to such a low level of volume. I had them on max volume and I could hear myself talk at normal voice, it was really that bad.
I had the stealth 600s and yeah the Arctis 9x is way better it is louder I can’t hear myself talking as I did when I was using the 600s
