    This movie is one of the most memorable of my life. It came out right in time for my eleventh birthday so I went with my dad. The ticket guy was some old dude and was like “this movie may not be appropriate for your kid.” My dad shrugged it off and once we were out of ear range said “I don’t know what the big deal is. He plays mortal kombat all the time and it’s not like someone is going to get their head punched off.”
    Twenty minutes into the movie…

    If you haven’t seen this, you’ve been living under a rock your whole life! Such a underrated horror flick, great cast, story, gore, humor, everything you’d want in a 90’s horror flick, especially a tales from the crypt film

      I’ve always tried to think of another actor that could have pulled off Billy Zane’s character as well as he did and I honestly can’t come up with even one.His campiness in this film is spot on and I absolutely love him in this.

    This is one of my top ten favorite movies of all time. It's so inventive and bonkers and I'm glad there are more eyes on it due to this. Also, Billy Zane is in the top three devils for me, right next to Pacino in "The Devil's Advocate," and Peter Stormare in "Constantine."

    Tales From The Crypt is an amazing series, its a crime they haven't rebooted it especially considering the mainstream popularity of horror/anthology shows at the moment? And films are great too, especially - "demon knight" it's got a strong cast(some returning from the series) good practical effects, and entertaining story.

    • @Stand_By_For_Mind_Control
      @Stand_By_For_Mind_Control 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Agree and they were actually going to reboot it somewhat recently with M Night Shyamalan as the showrunner but that got shit-canned. Probably for the best.

    • @antimatta8714
      @antimatta8714 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yeah, I don't know why they'd need - " M. Night " to help with the show? He'd probably of just ruined it( like most of his endings) they should just bring it back as it was, with the original writers, puppeteers and voice actor( as the Crypt Keeper) it'd be great, and most likely well received by audiences, as the original series was.👍

    • @javi__...
      @javi__... 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Pretty sure it's a copyright issue. It's why it's not being streamed too. Why you have to rely on grainy TH-cam videos to watch the show.

    • @darkwoods1954
      @darkwoods1954 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unless they can bring back Kassirs Cryptkeeper, I'd rather they didn't bring it back, Instead they'd be better off making a Vault of Horror series where they can design the host (Vaultkeeper) however they want. Or maybe have the Old Witch present.

    My immense love and admiration for this film is almost impossible to put into words. I'm not always one to get multiple copies of one thing, whether it's a movie or book, whatever but this is one of the rare ones. Thanks for covering this!
    I wholeheartedly believe it's a masterpiece and it deserves all the love it gets and its cult classic status.
    All the actors are utterly incredible in their performances! Everyone mentions Billy Zane, which I mean, he deserves it, definitely a scene stealer! But William Sadler is one of the best tragic heros! Jada Pinkett Smith absorbs her role, I felt for her so much. She was likeable, honest and layered. Also, Thomas Haden Church is so awesome to hate in this because I mostly knew him as dimwitted Lowell in Wings but this character couldn't be more different. The demon design is one of my favorite creature effects. Plus, perfectly paced flick. Everything just works and kicks ass! 🖤🎭💙

It has a Cult following in my small circle and my sister and I revisit it at least once a year. Needless to say, I love this movie. To this day, I still use Thomas Haden Church's line in my day to day conversations ("Whores Ain't Got No Friends")

    Nothing better on the ears than a 90s movie soundtrack! I've loved DK ever since I was a kid and I fondly remember wearing out the vhs back in the 90s. It's such an entertaining movie that really captures the best of what the tv show had to offer. I wish the show had a longer run but I'm happy we at least got 7 seasons. It's probably my favorite horror show of all time. I'm so baffled as to why we haven't gotten a badass 4K Bluray Boxset of the show. Of course I'd want it to be complete with new interviews from almost everyone involved and other quality special features. I know it'd take a while to get together but it's totally worth it and if any show out there deserves a UHD release, this is it. Hopefully we get it sooner than later.

    This was the first movie that I came ro know the name Billy Zane. Any other role I saw him in after that was never quite the same.

    Can’t remember if my first time watching this was renting it from Blockbuster or seeing it on HBO. Either way, I was stoked because I was obsessed with TFTC. Way better than Bordello of Blood.

    Have I seen this movie? HELL YEAH! This movie is really fun to watch, and yes this is Billy Zane's movie. I have seen a alot of films in my time, and this is one of my go too films for fun along with Big Trouble In Little China and Goonies, just to name a few. This is definitely a watch.

    Oh and a shout-out to Minty* who's got '10 Things You(probably) Didn't Know' about this great flick th-cam.com/video/hXfuFVq-GoM/w-d-xo.html
    Ironically he shares the same name as the Director as well, Mark Bishop, which he makes clear is a cool coincidence.

    As much as bordello is a guilty pleasure ( multiple reasons) I always wonder where the series would have went if it got it’s original vampire film from dusk till dawn.
    But daemon knight is top 5 pure dumb fun rewatchable horrors so underrated

    Actually I have seen it. Many, many times. I still try to convince people who haven't seen it to check it out. They almost never do which I don't understand and is getting quite frustrating after a couple of decades. I still remember the talk show segments from a long since cancelled Aussie late night show and the clip they used was Billy creating the demons and it cut right after he kissed that one. Solid choice as it's a great clip to show exactly what you're in for. The two Bills (Zane and Saddler) get a lifetime exemption from doing anything wrong because this movie will make up for it. Along with Shawshank for one Bill and The Phantom for the other. Don't judge me. Zane is perfect and Treat Williams gives an insane performance that's so much fun it lifts the whole movie like a rising tide. I could go on about cult faves from the 90's. What a glorious time for film. The Shadow. OK, I'll stop.

    Man I I was 10 years old when this soundtrack came out and I would listen to Hey Man Nice Shot repeatedly on my dad's stereo system in the living room. Truly one of my all time favorite songs

    I was just watching this with my 3 year old a couple days ago. She’s absolutely terrified of the demons.

      My niece was about that age when this came out. At first she was scared, but when Billy kissed the demon's head we told her "see it's a baby, he kissed it" she was totally okay after that.

    One of the things I really loved is for the first 15-20 minutes, you had no idea who the good guy was and who the bad guy was.
