1:48:15 I can't believe the Euro U-21 commercial has a footage of England vs Italy, the first official football game to be played at new Wembley. To the surprise, that U-21 friendly on 2007 also predicted the real Euro Final 14 years later, also at Wembley.

Is it normal to refer Netherlands as Holland in England/UK?

A tragedy of this era was Lampard wasn't classed as a forward. Goal scoring specialist operating between the lines of the final 3rd would've released him to play to his strengths. Locked in a rigid 2 man pairing with Gerrard here he looks like he's playing within himself and not enjoying his football as he did at Chelsea.
Gerrard and Scholes were much better all round footballers. They should never have been the ones to make way on the flanks to accommodate Frank.

yep frank was never a player who was good at controlling or dictating games, his game was all about making forward runs into the box. wasted in a 4-4-2

@@sponish0 That's not true. Lampard was very good at dictating games, he was always fantastic when Chelsea had to keep the ball, he was everywhere on the pitch. But the National team was built differently, randomly, and players didn't know what to do (as they say now, retrospectively). Defend? Attack? Cover your teammate movements? Keep the ball and wait? Even Gerrard was adapted to play a defensive role, while he could have played behind the strikers. He was the best because he ran everywhere on the pitch, but that's no tactic, it's random. All the players qualities were wasted this way. After the failure of 2004 and 2006 the manager should have decided the main weapons (the first team), and the variations. Maybe a couple of defensive \ tough tactical midfielders, plus 2 creative players between Gerrard, Lampard and Beckham (but also Joe Cole), depending on the form, rotating them. This way England would have had great substitutes too.

@@eFMe-fk1xh disagree, i mean of course he was better than the average prem player at dictating games,he could control a game against a mid table side no problem but at the highest levels lampard isn't a player who's going to dictate and control a game against an elite team he certainly wasn;t a scholes/xavi/pirlo/modric in that regard. his main stengh was making runs forward into the box. im not saying he wasn't good in other areas but thats what truely made him stand out as one of the best ever.
he wasn't bad on the ball of course but keeping possesion defo wasn't his strengh he couldn't have played in the barca or spain teams of that era his intelligent positioning and awareness was better than his actual ability on the ball.
