Personally I don't like this costume at all. In fact Affleck's costumes get worse with every movie, the one in BvS was absolutely my favourite live action batsuit ever, the Justice League one was only okay. This one is overdesigned and sucky.
I totally agree with you. But using the same costume don't make enough merch (and toys).
On the contrary, I’m reversed, IHATE HIS STANDARD COSTUME! Hate it hate it HATE it He looks crazy in the world of meta humans, this look along his battle ready suit are utilitarian that make sense in it’s crazy superhero supervillain world, his regular look suit is just plain silly, this figure is only bad in which it’s “the wrong color” (we will see when the film comes out if there’s a variant of this suit” and the Batfleck face sculpt iwonder what happened there, the Shazam and black Adam sculpts were amazing and this flash film is going to be a blockbuster film and mcfarlane toys are the go to toys for the money and quality, idk what happened, this figure looks like a video game incarnation that wants to pass as a film fig
I think this suit is great, I love his normal suit but he looked to beefy. His slimmed version in JL was better, his armored version in JL is my fav but this is a close second
The whole effort of this line went into Batmobile and Michael Keaton Batman.
Even Keaton Batman is lackluster.

Loved this review. I think looking at the ugly yet somewhat accurate drawing featured on the back of the box, I think we might see one of the coolest live-action Batman ever. It's truly a shame we never got to see a Battfleck solo movie. I don't understand how Todd oversaw this "thing" and thought it was ok enough to be released. Looks like a bad bootleg and that's no exaggeration.
I also have the theory that they didn't want to pay for Affleck's likeness considering they wantt to leave this Batman behind and that's why the figure doesn't resemble him AT ALL.
Had they gave him an accurate Batfleck head instead of this weird looking monstrosity it would have been passable
Why? The Ben Affleck Batman was average at best. From Ben Affleck’s performance being rather one note. Besides being an obvious inferior actor to Keaton, Bale and now Pattinson … generational defining elite actors. But also due to Zack Snyder’s vision of a super extreme warped version of the dark knight returns Batman, where he turned him into the punisher, hyper violent, killing Batman is … not the move and clearly didn’t vibe with the majority. Plus he came off meat headed and stupid in BvS. And in JL, either version is either a clown or forgettable at best. Thank god he was fickle and flakey and we got Matt Reeves and Pattinson instead. They gave us something far superior. Pattinson, surprisingly, the best Batman on page and performance ever. Even surpassing Keaton and Bale.
no way that Batfleck is shorter than Keaton, Dude is 6'4 (Keaton 5'9). That's the reason Affleck bat-ears are shorter than other Batmen, same reason as tall ears on Keaton lmao

Can't believe some people were actually reviewing this and saying it wasn't bad or even saying it was cool. The face and neck look like another figure's unfinished parts. I could see it and have never seen it in person! Great, honest review

The design itself isn't the issue, it's the end result. It's not just the color, the cowl is too small and feels like it wasn't made for this figure. Aesthetically, the figure looks bad as a figure not in the concept of what they were going for. If it had been done properly, this would be a great idea and figure for sure

Dark knight returns had it, so did Death metal batman.
This is untrue; Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns Batman from McFarlane Toys has utilised a thigh swivel.
Most Mcfarlane Figures released that are meant to ride vehicles that are also in the same wave like a horse or in this case a motorcycle have thigh swivel. It helps in setting up the figure with the vehicle.

Not gonna watch The Flash in he theater cause i don't want to support Ezra Miller.
Miller is a millstone around WB's neck and they need to be replaced as the Flash ASAP. The upcoming reboot gives WB an opportunity to do this, but the movie's premise suggested Miller was the one DCEU actor likely to stay the same since the reboot occurs around their character.

I’ve seen some weird sculpt and paintings… but this one makes the latest Scarecrow they produced look like an absolute masterpiece for an otherwise fine figure. I’ve seen 3&3/4 inch figures looking a lot better for half the price. If I was given this Batman as a gift, I would be disappointed. If I were giving this Batman as a gift, I would be ashamed.
I love that THIS is one of the few McFarlane figures with a thigh swivel.
lol! I saw this at the store, thought it was neat that it had a cloth cape and thigh swivels, but the whole thing looked uncanny weird. I've said it before but I appreciate these McF reviews the most of them all because the quality is all over the place.
McFarlane is selling because of the characters they are making, not for the quality or even just the looks of their figures, hopefully some day a good company is going to acquire the DC license.

This is a question I have for everyone. Out of all the McFarlane Batman figures made from 2022 to today (May 2023), which one would you say is the best one in terms of how it looks? Is this question answerable or is a can of worms?

You are wrong about the movie and the timeline. It very much matters. The Flash movie is the big "Crisis" and "Flashpoint" movie that'll reset the DCU. The Flash is a very important movie to understand the future DCU. it's THE movie that'll reset everything and if you dont watch it youll be confused af with the new Gunn plans. Its Shazam and Aquaman that has zero impact on the DCU

I was looking down working at my desk listening to the video and when I looked up I burst out laughing at that face.
I’ve seen The Flash, it actually is very good. I’m not trying to shill - it is one of the better movies in the DCEU for sure. Batfleck is only in it for like less than 5 minutes tho, so keep expectations in check
That’s what I heard, he’s barely in it. Makes sense that they wouldn’t put much effort into this. Without spoilers how was Keaton? Does he get alot of screen time? Co billing? How’s the action? And how’s Ezra?

This figure looks like Todd in a Batman costume to me.
I was excited before to get a new Batfleck figure but then they unveiled this.
He is actually accurate to the movie batman suit that they show him wearing in the trailer riding his batcycle. This figure goes with the batcycle for the movie that has also been released at target. He sits well on the batcycle as well, far as being able to sit on the bike and look up while in riding position, but I wont argue with the suit being ugly 😂

Yes he is. Look at the trailer with him riding then turning on a street getting off the bike after the cars have flipped in a wreck behind him. He is wearing this exact same suit, minus the cape.
I see up haven't seem the batcycle trailer, if you did you wouldn't still be talking about the blue suit that they show for half a second lol. So I will help you.
Batman batcycle chasing scenes shooting for the flash movie/Batfleck. There you see in this scene the suit is clearly black and grey.

I don’t get how they messed it up this bad when the Justice League version was one of the best movie figures they’ve ever done in terms of proportions and likeness. Hard pass.
Was looking for a mini project and this is it bought 2 of eBay along with a custom head. A repaint to match the grey and dark blue seen in the trailer.
A truly half assed (less than that) effort by McFarlane on this figure. Spot on assessment.
Affleck Batman is half assed in the movie. He’s in it for five minutes. Flashpoint was the excuse to replace him with a superior old Batman in Keaton
This figure looks hilarious
I bet you it was sculpted to have a plastic cape. Then someone said "hey lets make it cloth since people like that". They had to make room for the cloth to go so they just raised the head and neck up. Then they didn't bother to resculpt the head and neck. So now it's way too high and at a weird angle.

I bought this solely to see how or if I can “punch it up” with a paint job. And may just buy a 3d printed head to replace the one it has.

Is McFarlane even trying to target the collector market? Seems to me these are just trash figures kept relatively cheap so kids can play with them and even that is questionable. But the collectors market is 6” and 12” and well 3 & 3/4 if you’re into those beautiful joytoy figures, which if they had the J.I.Joe license I’d jump scales.
First 0/10 figure..now waiting for a 10/10 and I'll die a happy man.

I really like the action figure, it’s very detailed and cool, but I’ll never see it as a Batfleck action figure, it looks more like an armoured Batman Begins figure.
Jesus this line is a joke they don't even try, you'd think as promotional material for a movie they'd try and make these figures higher quality than most of there others.
And yes Batfleck is 6.2 ft tall while Michael Keaton is only 5.9 ft tall so the scale is completely off for figures in the same movie line.
I'll probably see the movie in theaters only because I know the manager and she'll let me in for free 😅 I don't really want to support anything with Ezra Miller in it the guys a total creep.

Crikey! What the Devil is that monstrosity?! It looks like a Poundland (UK equivalent version of a Dollar Store, General, Tree, etc.) bootleg, knockoff. Bloody hell! One of McFarlane Toys’ dodgiest releases yet. Poor colour choices and/or colour scheme; hideously grotesque sculpt; a rather large head, especially in contrast to that small, disproportionate body. Not a good Batman figure at all. This figure is proper rubbish! 0/10 rating is an apt score.
I can foresee McFarlane Toys reusing this sculpt (or select parts from it, anyway) to make an Arkham Origins-inspired Batman. I hope I’m wrong, though.

Ben Affleck is my favorite Batman. I recently got this figure and first impression was that the head sculpt needed work but the sculpting was great. I’m n my opinion batman look better with the full body armored bat suit and my favorite armored batman was the tactical suit fro Zack Snyders justice league and I really like this suit 😊😊😊
This Batman is supposed to be Blue and Gray. Not whatever the hell this thing is. Also Flash drops June 16th. I'm gonna go see it just for Keaton and Affleck

Im gonna get it but I have to properly repaint it and swap out the head for an actual Affleck head. But the figure itself I think is good in sculpt and articulation for my shelf.

The flash movie is the best DC movie out, yet you should watch it. The Ben Affleck batman doesn't look good, but id still play with it.
I will not pay money to see The Flash... Ezra doesn't deserve my hard earned money. I will watch it when it hits a streaming service, and I am only watching it to see Keaton's Batman make his return.
Speaking of, the only figure I am getting from this movie line is the Keaton Batman.
I would get this Afflleck Batman too if it weren't so awful looking. I could even deal with the crap colors (it's inaccurate to what is in the trailors) and even his odd body proportions.
That head sculpt... I just can't. It looks nothing like Ben Afffleck. If anything, it reminds of the Handsome Squidward Meme.
Part of me wonders if McFlarane has personal beef with Ben Affleck, or they couldn't acquire rights to his likeness this time around, or simply dumped all the effort into the Keaton Batman figure.
Not happy about that scale though. Keaton should be the shortest one. At least NECA got that part right.

LOL 0/10! The head and neck looks like it belongs to another figure. I'll definitely watch the movie when it's released on blu ray but I'll only be watching for the Batmen and Supergirl. Not a fan of this version of Flash

We have a better idea of what Batman will look like in the film due to the trailer. But It looks like the blue/lighter grey was added in post. I'd forgive Mcfarlane for probably being given concept art in the black/grey.
First off I think the source material just looks awful. It's overly busy. The BVS suit was perfect. The tactical suit was perfect for being an armored enhancement of that suit. I don't know what this thing is. It's like they took all the wrong lessons from The Batman and TDK.
This figure. I think the cowl portion would be great for the BVS suit if the cape, gauntlets, and boots were in the same material.
The figure though just looks like a mess from top to bottom.
Mcfarlane seems a little afraid to go with a big upper torso and a smaller lower torso which would give them the superhero look and the articulation for a forward ab crunch.
The figure just seems good for parts honestly.
Y'all I think there's too many McFarlane Batmans and they're all questionable at best... They literally took this head piece from another version of this figure and stuck it on there. Tragic.
Well that’s depressing. I was really excited to get a figure of this design, especially with a cloth cape.
Looks like one of those things where it is so, so objectively bad that any reviewer who unironically thinks it looks good is probably better off ignored entirely. Not that I've checked if anyone gave this a good review (chances are there will be at least one person) and I'm being facetious, but just looking at it here makes me think that standards have to be particularly low for anybody to approve of this figure. The cowl alone appears like it came from an entirely different product.
