    My MacBook Pro crashed in the middle of the semester, and it was going to cost over $600 to fix the faulty motherboard. I decided to purchase this computer, and it cost me $200 more to purchase this than to fix my 4 year old mac. I will never go back to Apple- I love this computer so much.

    Purchased the acer aspire 5 but returned it because of this awesome review! So I picked up the mica color with 12gb! I feel like this yoga will work better for my IT classes!

    Before buying any Lenovo product- be aware and be prepared for the worst customer experience of your life. The service we have received from Lenovo Africa has been disgusting, the lack of customer care, their attitude towards a warranty claim (screen malfunctioning), and general attitude of all parties involved is disgusting to say the least. I would strongly advise anyone considering any Lenovo Product think again, and look elsewhere.

      I can't comment on Lenovo Africa, but Lenovo's USA service isn't any worse than ACER or ASUS. Dealing with ALL of the big box guys quite often I can say those 3 are on about equal playing field. For what its worth, Lenovo has never denied a warranty claim for our clients, that said they've sometimes been slow. Dell and Apple have generally been the fastest. Sorry you had a bad experience though.

    Thanks for this review! My Macbook display crashed and started glitching, giving me awful headaches and making it impossible to watch Netflix or do homework (the only reasons I used it!) and I have been looking for a good laptop to buy now that isn’t Apple, and I’m really into the 2-in-1 design. I was looking for a decent review video about this laptop and yours has been the best so far! I will be purchasing this soon, thank you! (I did take it to Best Buy and was told that Apple would fix my display issue for $1200 - no thanks)

      Yikes! $1200 is steep. We do screen replacements for sub $400 usually. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching!

      I think it's an HP and I suggest you watch this video before buying an HP: th-cam.com/video/KF8o9poUEZU/w-d-xo.html.
      TLDR: I don't recommend ANY HP.

    How would you rate the video editing capabilities?

    • @ComputerStuff
      @ComputerStuff  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ultimately you can do some video editing with this machine, but nothing with a ton of effects, long 4k, RAM, etc. It's not a video editing suite but can do editing in a pinch.

      @@ComputerStuff okay, TOTALLY appreciate the honesty *=)* would you recommend a specific Lenovo from $1000-1,500 that works great for video editing? I do really really like the "2 in 1" idea, even though I've never owned one of those..I've had the Yoga suggested, other's too, but I'm just not feeling it 100%, ya know..I understand now why many want to build their own PC, something I just didn't get before now..I would value your feedback..and I'm trusting you as an expert *=)* I will subscribe, keep up with your videos and add those 👍🏽 if you're recommendation here works out..and I AM being very genuine about that *=)* I'll keep you updated *=)* peace, love and blessings ✌️

      @@thecassandraeffectvsperilo6754 After a quick search on Amazon I can't find anything from Lenovo that I would confidently recommend as a video editing machine. What kind of videos are you editing? This will help establish the horsepower you need. e.g. 10 minute 4k videos with lots of effects? tik tok videos? zoom calls?

      @@ComputerStuff well maybe I need to steer away from Lenovo?? 🤷 Lenovo is what I've been told is excellent but my knowledge doesn't go a whole lot further than that..I have knowledge about alot of complicated things but computers are not one of them..I catch on fast but am clearly a dum dum with this stuff..I had purchased a 2021 Lenovo Legion Y540, 32GB RAM, 1TB HDD+1TB SSD, 32GB Snowbell USB Card, back in February..I loved everything about it (not the weight or camera placement though) *BUT* it was very intimidating for me to figure out..I made slow progress but then it went haywire..I returned it, to only start back at square one..I need an advanced computer but not overwhelming..something that's easy, or eases the transition of use..video editing is the *main* use I need this laptop for..purely the drive for this purchase..for short videos, videos around 20mins (I know the longer a video, the longer it takes to upload and I'm cool with the waiting), conference and zoom calls..I'm not an Apple person and try and stay away from those products in particular..I don't do tiktock, or gaming (like World of Warcraft) or anything like that..I wouldn't imagine heavy graphics would be used but I haven't crossed that bridge yet..dude, you have no idea how awesome you are for taking the time to communicate with me..seriously, it means alot 🙂

      @@thecassandraeffectvsperilo6754 Happy to help, Lisa. The good news is, it seems even your video editing needs aren't that intensive. I would recommend looking at computers with the following specs: (12GB of RAM or more, 512GB SSD or more, either i5 or i7 or Ryzen 5 or Ryz 7 CPU). Graphics card, I think most modern graphics cards could knock out what you're looking to do I'm pretty sure. We're getting ready to review the new Inspiron 16 but we've been getting a lot of good feedback on it. Perhaps you may want to take a look at that? Beautiful display and lots of power. fave.co/2VEQxEL (referral link). Otherwise I think you'd be well fine with a Yoga in this spec range as well. Benefit of the 16" screen is you get a little larger screen to work with when editing which is always a plus. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
