We are truly blessed to be able to experience/witness genius and pure excellence of a craft. Truly a shame Hendrix died when he did for the same reason. You know you've achieved greatness when music scholars will be studying your work a hundred/two hundred years from now. I would've loved to have heard Beethoven play piano for the same reason. He was able to do what nobody else in his time could do except for Franz Liszt who was the finest pianist of the 19th century.

I saw these guys back in the day when they were all in their prime. David Lee was sight to behold. He's the only front man on the planet that could balance out the sheer power that is Eddie Van Halen. Sure, Sammy is a talented and dynamic front man. But, he's no David Lee Roth. There will never be another David Lee Roth or Eddie Van Halen or Michael Anthony or Alex Van Halen. Its rather bittersweet, really. Bitter because most kids nowadays will never know what real music is like performed by real musicians who have been touched by the hand of God. Sweet because we do.

It's only a couple of chords but damn its like 3 hooks all rolled up into one guitar rhythm that is too hard to explain. That's why Eddie is Eddie!! At the beginning of the song when Alex slowly and quietly brings in the drums and Wolf or Michael Anthony (whichever you prefer) brings in the bass line and they all meet up at Eddie's riff, if you don't feel that then you better check your pulse because your probably dead!!!

The best of the first off Van Halen. The only thing that makes watching this better is knowing that I got to see this man play live at least 6 times. I wish I had gone to more concerts but life kinda happened. ❤ love my VH for life 😊my grandchildren even know who VH is and they are in elementary school.

Some of the sounds he creates is just hard to believe it’s one person doing it on a guitar. I remember as a kid, I would hear one of his songs and need to go actually watch it to believe it lol. For me, he’s the greatest player of all time. Just his style and sound. His tone and technique and skill. Song writing and solos. His influence. No one tops EVH

Playing 2 notes that fast? lol It's a first-year guitar lesson. Anyone can do that. You never played a guitar or took lessons? Seriously get a guitar and practice what he did at the start. It should only take you and hour maybe 2 to master it.

lol you never played aguitar have you. Spanish fly and Eruption are the same thing. Except in Spanish Fly, it is missing the start and played on acoustic. Seriously look up the tab. Spanish fly is the 75% of Eruption. It's the one way to tell a VH fan who knows nothing about playing a guitar. As they claim they are different. Don't believe me. google it.
