Thanks a lot for sharing! Lots of valuable information, especially w.r.t. the emergency contactor and the potential screw.
For an electric car, the i3 is extremely well-documented...

This is a god send for anyone who needs to do work on their i3 now that it’s discontinued and warranties wear out.
As 22kwh battery models will be forced to update to the 33kwh as parts become more scarce. And less and less bmws will service it unless it’s for an absurd price.

In other words the cap has to go back to the dealership.

This thing is a 60k pos. 30k miles in shop with a quote of 8000 dollars for an electrical part. High voltage safety box went out. RUN! Love the part of the video saying the repair costs are reduced. Regular 12v battery replacement 1200 dollars RUN! Also in case your wondering BMW service charges 400 dollars per hour for labor i was quoted 4 hours of labor to replace the regular 12volt battery thats right under the hood. Never again BMW. Lost a customer for life.

Welcome to the modern automotive industry. You can always bring it to independents like me. The number of us who tackle EV’s is growing. But yes, the parts are exorbitantly over priced.
Most of it junk made in China for pennies on the dollar too. 🤷‍♂️ I don’t design them, I only fix them.
