Sorry, im little bit confused - is there a module which goes into the boiler to make all of that work? Currently ive got one zone heating using vrc470f and vrc470f comes with a "module" which goes inside the boiler (ecotec 825). Ive been advised that to divide heating into two zones i need to replace my vrc470f with a VR70, VRC700F, VR92F. I get this part, but what about that module which was put inside the boiler, will it need to be replaced as well? And also what about the wireless outside temperature sensor/dcf clock, will i need to replace it with something more modern? Just trying to asses the cost here.
Hi, very useful video, can activate more 3 zone? I have :vr71,vrc700 (wireless),vaillant ecoTEC boiler. The problem is I have: 3 underfloor heating zone, 1 radiator zone, 1 hot water all connected in low loss header The question is: can activate more 3 relays from vr 71 ? Changing the diagram system? Thank you.
@Anthony thank you for answer, I think i will use one zone for towel radiators and hot water (because can set a higher flow temperature), and two zone for for underfloor heating (can use a lower flow temperature). My system is higher, I have: two ecoTEC plus boilers 64kw each, cascade conection, three floors, every floor has three manifolds, three hot water cylinder and towel radiators circuit. Anyway your video was helpful chosen the right heating diagram. Thank you.
Do you use the boiler's pump to send water to the heating floor or a separate pump is used. If a separate pump is used, will the VR 71 provide the start stop signal to the pump?
Hi David The VR71 has connections for 3 heating circuits and 1 connection for HW. So you can control 4 zone valves if necessary. There are also a seperate connections for the cylinder stat and other temp sensors. Cheers paul
@Heritage Electrical Hi Paul, thanks for the reply. I’m now having trouble how I connect my 2 underfloor heating circuits and my radiator circuit into the VR71, the stats controlling them are 230V and the connections into the VR71 are 24V. Vaillant are absolutely useless when I ask them for advice. Any help would be really appreciated. Cheers Dave.

Hi. Appoligies we have not been asked to fit that system yet. It would not be a problem for us if you require our services. Thanks for watching. Heritage electrical 🙂
Thank you for this, its almost exactly what my setup is at home (that I'm currently trying to understand). We have the VR71 and a VRC700. I want to add a VR920 but I'm a bit confused by how I'm supposed to connect that to the eBus on the VR71 if the VRC700 is already connected. Any advice?
That's exact the same thing I want to do. I only have the VRC700 connected trough ebus and I 'd like to know how I am supposed to connect a vr920 internet module to this existing installation. Hopes someone give the answer. I 've been searching on the web but could not find a wiring diagram.
@@dimitriclaes7624 So I've managed to source a VR920 and an ambisense radiator valve. I'm hopefully getting someone to install them next week, so hopefully I'll have more information then!
Dear Matthew, did you actually manage to install the VR920 in combination with the VR71? I actually want to do something similar (VR921 in comb with VR70 and VRC700), but I cannot find any wiring scheme by Vaillant ...
@@alexanderclarysse5233 Hey, yes we did! I got one of the local approved installers round (via the website) and he did it with no issues at all. Iirc, the connections are daisy chained and can be connected in any order (in answer to my original question).
Hi Matthew, thanks for your quick reply! Would you mind sharing a picture or scheme of the wiring between VR70 and the Internet module and the wiring to the pumps?
Hi. Where do you connect up the 230v aqua stat on hw cylinder

Good video, how would you connect a 2 port valve into the VR71 for DHW?, should it go through the cylinder over heat stat?.
Thanks
