You have such simple videos. No waffling full of tips and I learn new things every video. You dont even have an intro no fancy editing. Everything is just basic and full of information. Thanks for being such a help to the apprentices :)

Thanks Alan...this video was very helpful, as my installers have not used the wiring centre because they said it wasn't need - and clearly it is, especially with a 3 zone UFH system.

Great video thank you for sharing. I don’t think I saw a connection from the wiring centre to the boiler? Apologies if I missed this.

BS7671 wiring regs say that any green/yellow wire cannot be sleeved to turn it into anything else. To do so is considered naughty.

Hi Allen I’ve seen few comments about how to wire in the secondary zone valve and thermostat into the wiring centre. Which I have also asked in one of the comments. Can you please go into more detail how it will be incorporated within the same wiring centre please. Or we need secondary wiring centre as it can be seen located next to the boiler?

If i’m using an s plan unvented system does this wiring centre allow me to connect the hot water and heating to this to ? Or do I still use the wiring centre that I have (Honeywell )well one for hot water and rads . And a separate wiring centre for UFH 🤔thanks mate

Hi Alan, great videos. I’m in the process of installing a similar setup. The video shows you wiring up the port valve for the UFH but not the second port valve and thermostat for the radiators. Appreciate if you could explain how this would be wired into the wiring centre. FYI I have a Heatmiser UH4.

Hi Alan - thank you for the video. When you say the switch wire goes back to the boiler where does the sw get terminated in the actual boiler itself. I’m wiring a boiler next week and it had ufh, nest thermostat for the rads and wondering where all these are wired into the boiler. The plumbers there tomorrow so is opening up the boiler for me. Will it have separate ufh and central heating terminal blocks. Thank you.

Hi , I'm not a plumber or electrician but I'm a vehicle mechanic that likes to mess!!!! Anyway I zone controlled my entire house around 8 years ago with fantastic results but I've now used one of the zones from the conservatory to run a wet underfloor heating system that's gone into an extension I've built that's replaced the conservatory, my question is that I don't want the ufh pump to run with the existing zones until it's called for. I know I could isolate it using a contactor but is there something that's designed purposely for the job or is this controler what I need? Thanks in advance.

Thank you Allen for posting this video. By the way this only video i could find on youtube for wiring centre. As I am doing up my house decided to have wet underfloor heating. it is two loops manifold with latest grundfos pump. my electrician has failed to connect wiring centre to boiler following diagram i showed him this video still didn't work. wiring centre is very similar to the one on this video. are we doing something wrong ? he has used link for timer as shown and also waited for 15min but still boiler wouldnt get signal. also do i need zone valve to control flow as i have worcester boiler quite powerful so i have 4 rads upstairs and downstairs underfloor heating only. so i have boiler, 2port manifold with grundfos pump and ports are controlled by electronic actuators and lcd stat all to be wired. I'd appreciate any advice on this. thank you in advance.

Presuming there are strain relief straps and maybe grommets for the wireing center. ( I get that this is a demonstration how to scenario) your pipe connections and electric connections are night and day. (All my plumbing and half of my electrics look a bit Friday afternoon)
I was looking for an 30 to 90 minute video of the process ,i know they can take a while to render and longer to upload, my computer is getting used to72hour run times. Or 4 hours editing for sub 10 minutes of footage.
You've not mentioned what the cost would be for a person wanting to get some of this warm floor action.
Look forward to seeing the playlist grow.
