Hebrews 11:6 KJV - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Amen
If we believers of today were included in chapter 11 of Hebrews, it would read like this: By faith, they believed the gospel and were saved bye the blood of Jesus.
Pastor David Reid ! I wonder if you could tell as to whether the Epistle of James, to the twelve tribes of Israel and Judah, preceded the Pauline's Epistles concerning the gospel of grace or vice versa ?
Hi David I hope you find the question. Why Paul saying in Eph 6:2,3 obey your parents to have blessings , though it is blessing given to Jews? Or it is in dispensational?
This Dispensation of Grace is completely different from anything God has ever done before since the beginning. He is dispensing Grace equally to everyone. Before this Dispensation began, (Acts 5) God killed Ananias and his wife for lying to Him. That is not a dispensing of Grace, but a dispensing of judgment. When this Dispensation is over, and Israel's 70th week begins, that will not be a dispensing of Grace equally to everyone, but a dispensing of judgment and Wrath and testing to everyone equally.

Pastor David Reid ! Could you explain the meaning of the word 'seed' with reference to Genesis 3:15 (i) thy(serpent's) seed and (ii) her(the woman's) seed ?
The issue with the gospel of the kingdom is it has a law (James 2:10). It will be interpreted as faith and works since they have cutting off of branches - no eternal security. It is hard to remove boasting from them due to the nature of the law. There was no indication in the new covenant that they were operating in the Spirit similar to Rom 8:1. Paul confirmed, there's a letter or law in the new testament that kills. The gift for the circumcision is the Old or New Covenant. It can't be compared to Eph 2:8 "salvation is a gift" since that verse has no covenant. So in the perspective of the law, Israel can only see the justification by works of Abraham and not the faith alone aspect. James said, the scripture was fulfilled: it means "for me", Gen 15:6 is a prophecy that Abraham will offer Isaac and James used the works as the reason for the justification. It is correct in the perspective of the law.
@@ColumbusBibleChurch I'm not RC but they seem to have a point stating that Abraham was justifed/righteous in Gen 12, 15 & 22. Thoughts ? Justification BEFORE Paul was made Apostle was slightly different to JUSTIFICATION now ?
@@robusc4940 As pointed out in the video, justification operates differently under the kingdom program. During the dispensation of grace, justification is by faith without the deeds of the law (Rom 3:28). Under the kingdom program, faith is made perfect by works (Jam 2:22). Hope this helps. Grace.
12:30. James epistle is that he is responding to the growing heresy of faith alone that is misunderstanding or misusing Paul's arguments. The gentile churches must have been using those arguments of Paul's faith justification as an excuse for a work-less dead faith or faith alone theology, resulting in a damning heresy. So it was necessary to silence these people and what better way to use the same example of faith justification to show that those saints like Abraham did not stop at faith but continued to perfect their faith with works of obedience. Paul and James are not in contradiction since Paul wrote against the ability of law for being expired and no longer valid form of justification, the law was not eternal and only way of justification; whereas James against the faith alone doctrine that has lacks works as lawlessness.
Abraham demonstrated his faith and trust by his works. thanks Pastor Reid.

@LeonLKC James is written somewhere in Acts 15-28. Paul writes several epistles during that period. Hope this helps.

@ben1717 It is transdispensationally true that it always good to obey your parents in the Lord. Hope this helps.

The new covenant didn’t start until acts 9 so anything before then was law

The woman's seed refers to Christ. The serpent's seed refers to the anti-type, or the anti-Christ.

Wasn't Abraham(Abram) already righteous by faith in Gen 12:4 when he obeyed God ?
@robusc4940 Heb 11:8 indicates that Abraham acted by faith in Gen 12:4 when he obeyed and went out.

Abraham's perfection of his faith by his work is rewarded by God who called him 'Father of Nations' and 'Friend of God' (James 2:23)(KJV)
